  1. Correct, availablity is the problem now. Not many released so they want MSRP plus shipping, prep, and tax. The RZR4 was fun to drive, jumped, drifted, hit some rough stuff and hauled a$$ on the pavement. I can't wait to hear some reports from the performance in the dunes, seems like they will be underpowered in the sand. It's a fun ride and I have added it to my want list.
  2. I demo drove one at the North Rancho store yesterday and the out the door price was $18,250.....ouch!
  3. I had a grinding problem shifting between 2nd and 3rd. Turns out it was my shifter linkage was worn at the trans connection, that little bit of play was the problem.
  4. Glad to hear everyone was ok. Dumont is filled with great peeps willing to help.
  5. We went Friday night to drink and Saturday morning to shop for a few hours. We were able to contribute some money to the economy. Food and beers were great. I felt the vendors took the time to answer questions and seemed willing to make a good deal on RZR stuff.
  6. Glad to hear you guys are ok. Did you have a stock rollcage?
  7. Great looking car! I have always wanted one, the old school look it cool. Post some updates on how it handles.
  8. Sorry to hear about the accident, hope all involved are ok.
  9. Good luck and thanks for your service to our country.
  10. How about posting a list to confirm received orders?
  11. Outback aka Outfront is great. John has lots of helpful tips. He will spend the time listening to the problem and give solutions for a variety of budgets. He also has a load dyno and will tune your car if you need.
  12. My understanding when I bought my car was sand or desert or dual sport. The sand car was designed to be lighter and more nimble for duning. The desert car was big and everything very heavy duty. This type of car could be driven in the sand but was not its intended use. The final was the dual sport, a car built truly to do both, some will argue built to do neither real well. The dual sport is a "medium built" car, tubing smaller like a sand car, suspension beefier than a sand car, but less than a desert car. My car is a V3ss built by sandcars.net and is some sort of dual sport, but I think it is more like a sand car than a desert car. Has anyone else been told similar?
  13. I am glad to hear he`s on the road to recovery. Glad to see the DDR peeps to the rescue, this is really a great group of people always ready to help.
  14. Glad you are OK, the car can be fixed. Nice car looks like the frame held up well. How flat was the landing?
  15. So what is the solution? We have discussed alcohol use, liability and possible intent. I can’t believe anyone intends to hurt someone else, bad things just happen. Sometimes bad decisions or bad judgment contributes to these incidents. How do we safely mix Rhinos, RZRs, quads, motorcycles, cars and what ever else someone brings to the hill that are all traveling at different speeds? Sand cars tend to stay to the right and travel toward the middle of the hill as they get closer to the top. Sometimes quads don’t want to yield and let the cars in at the top of the hill. Sometimes the cars are being unreasonable, any ideas?
  16. I don`t know of anyone in Dumont, Las Vegas has a buggy rental company located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex. Good luck.
  17. Glad to hear the kid is ok. Wheelies up comp are diffinately questionable. These cars are so fast they close in on others very rapidly. The drivers aren`t planning for these incidents, sometimes maybe just bad judgement.
  18. I would like to start off by thanking those who helped us after we rolled our RZR down comp hill. I was with my wife Saturday night around 10 PM when we decided to take the RZR over the top of comp. Sounded like a great plan, sand was wet and we had great traction on the way up and over. The RZR got sideways at the top coming back over and rolled 8-10 times before coming to rest. Fellow duners promptly responded to aid us getting out and moving the RZR down the hill safely. We are both ok, just a little banged up. I am disappointed that during this scary event someone took all the parts that came off the RZR. While some people were going out of their way to help, others saw an opportunity to steal. The important thing is no serious injuries and minor damage to the RZR. Thanks to all who helped out, we are truly grateful.
  19. I have a Subaru 2.5L four seater and I use 5-10 gal. a day of VP 110. Race fuel is one of the things I would reconsider if I was getting another car. High octane fuels are expensive and kind of a pain in the a$$ to store.
  20. These are sad times when a fellow duner falls; our thoughts are with Jeffrey`s family and friends.
