We camp over in front of where they have the jeep and drag stuff. Not sure of the exact names of everything. At the end of vendor row to the right, past the entrance to comp hill. You are more than welcome to camp with us. Not too loud at night, but we have fun.

Customer service at resturants. I hate it when one person takes your order and someone else brings it out and makes a grand annoucement and asks who got this, who got that. Drives me nuts because it usually interupts your conversation.

Got to do what you got to do to get to the dunes. I think I would do that with a rental car but not my own car. But then again I've only owned trucks.

Hubby got a ticket this summer from the CHP doing 70mph on the 101 fwy on our way to Pismo. $410.00 ouch!! Usually cruise about 60 on the way to Dumont and CHP passes us by. Have to get a running start at some of the big hills till I buy a bigger truck. We need stickers too.

listen to who? j/k he doesn't want a new trailer. if I can get rid of this golf cart I can get a sandrail. I know they fit cause we took our friends rail to Pismo. I'll tell him. Can't wait for Halloween weekend.

Hey does anyone know the name and phone number of someone that will come to your camp and fill your water and dump your tanks? I've heard there is a guy in Purhump (or however you spell it) but can't seem to get a number. Thanks for the help.

I totally agree. Whether you are in Vegas or the OC everyone gets stupid when they see a truck pulling a trailer. Sure we can stop on a dime. Or the fact that they sit right at the back corner of the trailer and if you speed up, they speed up or if you slow down they slow down. UGH! Usually I turn on my blinker, count to 3 then start moving over. They get the point.

I'm sure a lot of people know this, but I wanted to share it anyways, just in case you didn't. If you live in California and are planning to vote for a new Governor, DO NOT vote for Steve Westly or for Phil Angelides. They are sponsered by the Sierra Club. I sent an email to Governor Schwarzenegger to see if I can get a response on how he feels about the CBD and the Sierra Club too. Hopefully he doesn't agree with them. I figure anything is worth a try. Pismo and Dumont are my two favorite places in the world to be. Does anybody have any other ideas of who to contact about this? Ride Safe! Sandqueen

These buttheads need to think of how many people they will put out of business if they keep closing all the riding areas. How about the "family" times they would be wiping out. Everyone complains that they don't have enough time to spend with their families and buttheads like this is taking away the little bit we do have. Really how do the lizards in Dumont or the birds in Pismo or the weeds in Glamis help the economy? Are they going to support all the people that lose their jobs because nobody is riding anymore? They need to think I mean really think about how many people and businesses this affects. Sorry I just needed to get this off my chest because they really piss me off.
