Hi guys...My wife and I are currently with Sprint PCS b/c I get a discounted rate through my employer. We both are tired of the dropped calls and dead zones. My buddy has Verizon and gets service at the dunes....I was amazed. Comparing the 2, they both have their pros and cons...I want to get some of your experiences and comments on these 2 carriers. Thanks.

Not too handy with the welder...where do you get the bungs?

I just installed the Curtis Sparks X6 headpipe and exhaust on my 700 R. The stock heat shield is useless and I don't want to use header tape. I've called Quad Tech and some other carbon fiber manufacturers but they don't make them. Do you guys know of any local businesses that can fabricate a heat shield or coat the headpipe w/ some sort of heat retardant?

Dr. D stuff is cheap and there are a lot more higher quality exhausts which rev higher out on the market.

St. George wasn't the most cooperative dealer to work with. I drove down to Cucamonga Yamaha (3 hours from Vegas). Roc was the salesman, he treated me well and gave me a hell of a deal OTD. After shopping around for 2-3 months, Roc beat the lowest price whic was Parker Yamaha in AZ by $350. With more seat time, I really like the 700. It soaks up the whoops a lot better than my Z. The only gripe I have with it is its weight. I hope I don't roll it! Coming soon> Power Commander III. Best unit out!

Thanks guys...it was either the 700 or the new suz. 450. I liked the suz. wide stance, suspension, and you don't have to put a lot of $$$ into it to make it scream. Plus it jumps better... I chose the raptor b/c it's an all day bike and more user friendly to the 210 lb.'ers. Gotta good deal so couldn't pass it up.

A lot bigger than my 2005 Z. Definately going to take some getting used to.

Cole, Skid plates? I haven't gotten that far yet. Are the stock ones ok for those trails? I don't want to add aftermarket skids b/c we do dunes most of the time. But yeah, pm me your email address b/c a co-worker and I want to do some early am trail rides when its not super hot.

Ragdoll, How do you find the Hidden Valley specifically? Where's the start and finish of the trail? Is it really rocky (will it damage my brand new Raptor)? Thanks.

Can someone give me specific directions to the track out at Sandy Valley? Are there any trails or "sand" out that way? How about from Jean to Primm...anybody aware of some riding spots through that neck of the woods? Thanks in advance!
