Do you DUNE your truck?
Richard Cheese replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
you COULD call that a trophy series truck jump with a toilet bowl series truck. What idiot would even consider doing something like that on a bone stock truck, let alone a beater???? too bad that cut didnt happen about 4 inches higher and to the left for a free lobatomy, as I have a feeling hell attempt to make it into the running for the darwin award again hope that guy doesn't produce any kids, as that is the part of the gene pool that needs to be thinned, imo -

I think that is at silver lake sand dunes in Michigan -
I think it is funny that people who had some crap happen to them ove Prez weekend come here to try to find the instigators Personally, I don't know anyone that irresponsible (exept the copy-paste fairy ). I haven't personally met everyone on this board, but the ones I have had multiple interactions with online seem to be consciencous of them and their surroundings while duning. Also, You are probably gonna take this the wrong way, but, do you not think something like this is gonna happen with 50,000 + people at a riding area on probably THE biggest weekend of the year? That is the reason why I stay away from the big weekends. It amateur night x 10 on the big weekends, and I don't feel too good on the chances my family and I have of getting hurt with all the freekin idiots that roll out there for Prez Day.

car audio preferences....amps
Richard Cheese replied to Richard Cheese's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
i ended up going with a phoenix gold octane series 4 channel amp. I will run the highs of the front two channels, and the bridge the back in mono for the two 10" subs behind the back seat in the crew cab. -

I have had 4 systems in the past. two ran by alphasonik power, the third, rockford fosgate, and the last one I had was US acoustics powered. I was wanting to know what some of you are running, as I am wanting to run a new system in my d-max i liked the US acoustics the best out of all of them, but they must be having financial trouble, as all their equipment has tripled in price recently, and cannot be found, except for a couple of places. thanks for your input

compared to some of the other tires out there, the sand star tends to be heavy. although I have seen them run on DS650's (sand pigs) and do good. you shouldn't be getting stuck like that, as the bike isnt all that heavy, and you have sand tires on it. do you get stuck often, or once in awhile?

I agree with 99 percent of that!!!!!

copy and paste strikes again gee, why aren't the duramax's found in commercial applications??? BECAUSE THEY ARE FAIRLY NEW!!! why is it that a CONSUMER diesel is kicking the commerical diesels AZZES in the 2500/3500/4500 applications? transmission relatively good? what an azzhat... is that why both dodge and ford scrambled to copy the allison with their crap-shift, and Dodge with their transmission de jour??? gee, whoever you stole that from Chase isn't biased.....not one bit and why was it again he doesnt sell gm products?????? because he can't get a dealership, so he hits the 6 foot bong a few too many times, and makes some stuff up. dude, ya gonna eat that twinkie??? :mc_smiley:

of the war being waged inside your head??? you two gonna have your diesels @ piss-mo right???

Dumont Dunes TRT meeting
Richard Cheese replied to SailAway's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
thanks for the replies does the TRT board recognize that not all the people that recreate @ dumont live a couple hours away from Barstow? I know people from as far away as Oregon that recreate there every year. Are the people that are travel challenged (i just made that up ) allowed input as well, like letters, emails, satellite conferences and the like? -
Dumont Dunes TRT meeting
Richard Cheese replied to SailAway's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
I am sorry. I don't understand a couple things. if the agenda is already planned, where is the chance for input from the duning community? if "they" are on our side, then why do they need our input? How are the agendas for these meetings organized? is input from the duning community allowed for that? thanks -
