my group 24 batteries on my hauler crapped out back in july, and I replaced them with 2 costco 6v in series.......best freekin mod I have done to my trailer. It has been sitting on the side of my house now since the middle of february, with no shore power, and the battery level has stayed at full, even with the co2 sensors on. my group 24 batts would have crapped out withing 4-5 days. freekin amazing :ahhhhh:

I wanna see a duramax or powerstroke do this
Richard Cheese replied to 1bad4fiddy's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
you wanna play with the fast toys, you gotta pay the big boys it all depends on how fast you want to go, and how much money you have. I'm pretty sure that could also be done with a powerstroke and a duramax. Also, the cummins might be the quickest...but d-max IS the fastest wha-choo talkin bout willis??? -

Warranty issues with 5th wheel company
Richard Cheese replied to CaptNkllm's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
this is what I have found that works better than dealers fixing your th find a repair only facility. not one associated with a dealer. the sale is how the dealers make 90 percent of their money...their service department is an afterthought for warranty repairs.. frankly, they don't give a rats azz what happens in their service department, from my experience the only way a repair only facility makes money is on repairs, and they want you back for that, sothey do a good job. call your manufacturer, tell them you want place X to do the warranty work, and they should ok it. good luck -
cool. you will enjoy them!!! i need to get the pads for mine

I have the predator, and I am happy with it, but several of my friends with d-maxes have the hypertech, and can have it set on the highest setting, and still tow to the max without jeopordizing their egt's. while my predator, otoh, can only go level 1 and still tow full load, level 2 (65 hp) only 4 thou lb towing, and levels 3(85) and 4(120) no towing recommended. also, when I have had the predator on level 3, i will get codes on my tranny, and go into limp mode, where, my tranny wont go into od :eatdrink021: Now, I just roll on the 65 for daily driving, and go stock when towing I have seen the Banks thing, with the PDA, and yes it rocks, without needing to put an egt gauge in-cab, and change programs on the fly....i like it but as said before by someone......I forget who stock...the dmax does just fine.......(although i really do enjoy roasting my rear tires from time to time....at the cost of 500 bucks......... )

my wife's tahoe has a percent thingy on the DIC....if I were to let it go from 100% to 0%, I would estimate that it would be around 7000 miles :worthless_without_pics: i do it at every 3000 miles, or sooner, especially when we were towing the hauler with her tahoe :worthless_without_pics:

pete, why is that d-max in the shop? pistons? -
i was talking to a polaris errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr farm equipment rep about the side by sides, and he CLAIMS that there is a law/regulation, that stock, these things are limited to 40 0r 50 mph IN STOCK TRIM! I know that with the efi, polaris is being stingy, and not letting anyone buy the rights to the programming for their ecu's, like the diesel tuners use, to hop up the rangers.

are you telling us that ford cannot tell what damage is done by a tuner/chip and what isn't? GM dealers can tell, if they know what to look for... Im sure ford does too ford stops selling superdutys -

summertime is time to go to pismo beach, and ride the (very tiny) dunes of Oceano. We also head up to the Bay area when the Dodgers play the Giants to watch that freekin ugly rivalry (i'm a dodgers fan, and put up with a lot of shiat from the sucky Giants fans) We also hang out by the pool a lot, and go to shaver lake with our friends that have boats. Some day, Havasu will be our destination
