  1. i always wash my rig with a 50/50 simple green and water solution, and never had a problem with black streaks not coming off
  2. the cheese version We had 7 people using our facilities for the 4 days we were @ Dumont over superbowl weekend. We didn't have a problem with black, grey, or even fresh water, and everybody took at least 2 showers! Black tank- mine is 40 gallons. I personally would rather use the pit toilets, then have to dump my own waste, but that is me. Heck, the toilets in the pit stalls, imo are more comfy than in the trailer anyhow, with more room on both sides for, ahhh, ummmm, stretching out. After the second day, the other people in my trailer noticed that I was riding to the toilet # 3, and they started doing the same. If you are worried about prez's weekend, then this is an alternative to filling up your black tank. Grey tank-I carry a 55 gallon drum that is usually reserved for fresh water, but have been using it more for grey water. I just dump the grey tank into the drum. Also, all grey water comes from these sources, sinks and showers. you cannot avoid the water from the shower, but, instead of washing your hands in the sink, get the anti-bacterial gel to do that. I also have an outside shower, where I will rinse my hands, instead of inside the trailer. To avoid water in the grey tank from dishes, use paper plates and plastic throwaway silverware. I only wash the dishes from cooking in the dinner, and minimize those by cooking what I can on the grill (meat, garlic bread, potatos, vegetables like zucchini and carrots). I also plan our meals around this. I hope this helps. btw, I dumped the remaindeer of my fresh water Monday after work, and I had about 15 gallons left :monkeedance2:
  3. when did you put the crack smoker up on the emoticon list Pete?
  4. if there is one thing I can tell you about toy haulers, is go as big as you can first. Space starts disappearing FAST. that 18, you can fit maybe 2-3 dirtbikes, or 1, MAYBE two quads, depending on size I know I'm hurtin for space right now with my 19 ft and what SCB says, go used to get the best value. the mattresses (which all suck anyway) can b changed out, and whatever else, with all the money you save, you can fill up the rest of the toy hauler. good luck try rvtrader.com and rvtraderonline.com and I know you are on glamisdunes, where I have seen some sik deals over there, but they don't last too long, so have your finances in order BEFORE you go shopping
  5. I don't care if I am in a circle or not. I like the door side of my hauler to point north when I am at dumont. That gives a great deal of shade without the canopy up. I bring 2 ice chests. one for drinks, and anything that doesn't fit in the fridge, and one for just ice......for iced adult beverages, and also for adding to drink ice chest, when it gets low. funny though. we were the first ones in camp last Thursday, and by Friday night, we did have a circle goin on
  6. off topic that so reminds me of Sam Kinison talking about the staving people in Africa "you see this? you know what this is? its sand. DO YOU KNHOW WHAT ITS GONNA BE IN 1000 YEARS? IT'S GONNA BE SAND. WAIT, DON'T FEED HIM YET...HE'S GOTTA LOOK HUNGRY!!" some funny shiat.
  7. we already have a toyhauler forum @ rv.net. got it like 4 yrs ago now we are workin on dieselplace.com, as many of us tow with a, dare I say, CHEVY
  8. just my opinion here, so don't get all bent outta shape. I can't stand any of the hollywoodites. Granted, they look good, but ....... 1. they are given a false sense of importance. 2. When their looks go, then they begin politiking, which is bad news for us. 3. They are all pieces of sh*t, imo
  9. is that graphics package and fag, errrrrrrrrrrrrr flag available Pete?
  10. how many pots of coffee did that one take Bob?
  11. we have been lobbying for a t oy hauler area there for awhile. if you are a member, please go to the forum operations area @ dieselplace.com, and vote in the poll for a toyhauler forum area it would deeply be appreciated thanks
  12. oh, ok, now pete knows my intentions :jester: gettin a little cynical Pete?? dude.....you need to go RIDE!!!
  13. trust me, the chop we were in Sat and early sun was in Dire need of the W
  14. a little nepotism is a good thing now and then
  15. inside the circle, outside the circle...I fail to see the difference since both positions are STILL AT DUMONT. Tell your family to chill the effe out. Lay the smack down if some of them crack back. sheesh. the ones that do the least b*tch the most
  16. Sorry I couldn't stick around and ride with u pete, but the ladies wanted to get the freakshow on the road, and get the effe home. a couple cool things came jout of this trip. my wife really enjoyed herself(not counting the day she lost by polluting her liver ), and wants to come back again. Also, our friends that came with us who don't have a hauler want to now get one before SB weekend next year.
  17. Well. things went really well this time. I got to meet girlwithhorns (hard to miss that one), and danuckler, with his son, Anthony. For awhile on Friday, with a view of the road from our camp, it looked like a hauler a minute was coming for well over a couple hours. It didn't seem much more populated than previous SB weekends though. Its funny, I don't really like the wind blowing while I am at Dumont, but it took me almost 38 years to realize that the wind is needed to heal the dunes after a day of taking punishment from the people who recreate @ dumont. It is an evil necessity, so I don't get beat up by all the chop. There was a vendor's row for the first time on SB weekend. What was up with welding guy?? too much crank, and cracking cold ones @ 10 am, while trying to weld doesn't yield a good end product. Saturday night, my entire camp migrated over to Comp hill to see the sights, and when we got there, the entire 12 people that were there, were leaving . Mike and his son found us, rocked out to Lynyrd Skynyrd, and watched Aceisback's Son, Casey, roll people on my bike up Comp. , while Aceisback wrote DDR in gas, lit it, and then jumped on his bike and roosted through it His roost was all flames I also want to say what is up, and thanks to Aceisback for wrenching on my bike this weekend. The performance from before is night and day. Now, I am only 7 lengths behind him after halfway up the hill :jester: We had a good group this time. I don't know about everyone else, but in the past, I have had some A$$clowns in my group, which made some of my previous trips not so memorable. and, in closing, I learned that when I hear my wife telling the camp bartender to make her drinks stronger, and I see her smoking a cig or 12 (she used to smoke when she drank before we hooked up), that it is time for me to quit drinking for the night, and start babysitting
  18. the place that did my tires has free internet for it's customers, so anytime the wifey starts ridin my arse about something "I've gotta go get my tires rotated"
  19. I am assuming the toyo's are 40,000 mile tires??? do they have d and e ratings?
  20. I should have categoried my earlier post the pipe sticking out of the dirt in the back of the ultra, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Valero
  21. sme here. used to worry about filling up somewhere else, got a better tow vehicle ,and don't haveto worry about it the only thing you have to keep an eye on, and its only in extreme temp swings, are the clamps for the fresh water pipes coming loose, and losing your water all over the freeway easy repair though
  22. the ultra mart, or whatever it is now will do so too. they also have an RV dump behind the store, where the fresh water is
