Everyone was glad that you were alright. Not gonna lie I was concerned when we ended up at the north pole without everyone. I started to assume the worse until we caught back up with you. Glad your ok. Sucks that you couldn't finish the ride with us.

I'm gonna blame the riding boots for my horrible balance.

When Eric and I rolled in about 7ish Eric made a comment on how cold it was. When I checked the thermostat in his truck it said it was 35 degrees. I hate to say this but for once in my life I actually was warmer than someone else for a change! Minnesota is having a drastic effect on me. The ride where we lost mike was a bitchen ride. I needed to blow off some steam and that did it for me. It felt like we got so many runs in and we didn't leave any dunes uncovered. It was just what I needed to complete the perfect vacation. Despite Steve only having one paddle installed properly his side by side does very well out there. When we lost him (mid beer) Pete made a comment "I hope he isn't broke down out there cause if he is I'm not going to go look for him." About 10 minutes later we see Steve walking over the finger dune and we started laughing. It was a great day at the dunes!

I have only ever ridden in a LT rail and never a VW so I can't compare. I'm sure the difference in the ride between the two is substantial. Horse power I'm sure is also substantial. I've gone over time and time again on what I will get when the time is right. I need a larger truck and a hauler first though. I think I would start with a light busa rail first. Pete's was a workhorse from what he said and the motor always seemed to run strong. The price on the busa rails seem very reasonable as well.

I guess I have to ask this but if you keep up on the service and maintain them well are they really that much more work? I'm one of the cheapest bastids you've ever met but I don't want to sacrifice price for quality. It seems that when the long travel rails break it can be heavy on the pocket book.

Not sure exactly how far NW in Vegas you mean but the only bar I really made it out to once in a while out that way was Sierra Gold in Aliante. Good beer on tap, ok crowd and some of the cocktail waitresses from the Aliante Casino stop in there frequently after their shift and you can't go wrong with chasing after girls who shake their for a living.

Aside from the accident on comp it sounds like everyone had a good time. Where are all the pics and vids that usually follow a trip report?

If you can borrow the pass from someone else. You certainly could borrow the receipt as well. How far can they go with it?

My buddy Eric and I got out there way early in the morning. We didn't waste anytime either chit chattin cause we unloaded and hit the sand within 10 minutes or so of pulling in. That sand was epic, weather AMAZING!! I wanted to take some pics but my batteries were friggen dead. Sorry Pete, no pics this time. We seemed to do a lot of riding on the south side of the dunes for some reason. The lines were steep and full of razors on that side and it made for some killer runs. Unfortunately this might have been my only trip to Dumont this season. We made the best of it by riding all freaking day until my body had enough. I had a lot of fun and am so glad I could make it out.

We will be arriving about 6:30 in the morning on Saturday. It looks like this might be my first and last trip of the season unfortunately. Gotta make the best if it.

Dayumm dude that place is gorgeous!! My nephew is serving a mission there and loves it. Glad you guys had fun.

Looks like my buddy Eric and I will be out there this Saturday for a day trip. We will have to hook up for some runs!
