  1. I'll see if the DSD Crew can make it. I can't say that everyone will, but I know a few that will make it for a or two.
  2. The DSD Crew will be there, some rolling in Thursday night, the rest will be there Friday.
  3. Nice clip!!!! When I first saw it, I couldn't believe that YFZBob and I are in there (Bob, blue helmet and green jacket; Me, my old flame helmet and grey pull over sweater). I'm not sure who took the video of the dunes rides, was it offroadace (Steve) for DSD?
  4. I have an onboard Onan 5500 in my rig but I got one of these portable generators last month. I wanted something to run everything in the rig but not use up a ton of gas like the Onan 5500. This is Kipor KGE3000ti and it’s basically a Honda generator in a yellow rapper. It’s very quiet and it can run for about 10 hours on a tank of gas. I picked it up for $800 delivered off of eBay.
  5. Updated mine Pete, I should have 8 or 9 quads in my group.
  6. We also had a great weekend. I think I saw GirlWithHorns at Comp on Saturday too, can't mistake that helmet. But you left as we pulled up so I never got a chance to introduce myself. From DunePilot's pictures, I think I saw him at Comp on Sunday, that's if he has the pink Z400. We were the only other family at the bottom of the hill and the wife was on the white/red Z400 going up Comp the same time you were. Here's the Gunz Family at the North Pole. Gunz Family camp site And we did see the ultra-light buzzing around Comp Hill.
  7. Still working on it. I know some are heading to Glamis and a few to Dumont. The ones that make it to Dumont will be there for the ride.
  8. We'll be there with a small group.
  9. Here's a map of Dumont's bathrooms. Yes, they are numbers and pretty easy to find.
  10. Yup, three weekends in a row, back to back. When mama says lets go spend some time in the dunes, I don't ask questions. :fart:
  11. We'll be there Pete. Mabye I'll bring my knobbies and make that run with you.
  12. Sounds good Pete, I'll look for you. I think we're solo next weekend, not sure if any other DSD guys are going to make it. We plan on being out there the next three weekends in a row so I'm sure we'll hook sometime for a .
  13. We'll be there, early Saturday morning and staying to Monday. We'll be at the normal DSD campsite, several hundred yards north/west of crapper #3.
  14. Looks like I'll be out there Saturday morning to Monday. Not sure if any DSD peeps will be there so I'll be looking for you guys during our rides. :monkeedance2:

  17. Copied from www.plantsand.com 4 Stroke Challenge Race – Four Stroke Wars VI We, along with Planet Sand and Mark Tozer, are pleased to announce the first race in the 4 Stroke Series 2007. Welcome to Four Stroke Wars VI. The race formats and classes leverage the efforts and build on the previous Four Stroke War events. Due to the registration process at the Imperial Sand Dunes it is not possible to run an event for January 2007. The 2007 MLK 4 Stroke Wars race will be held this year at Dumont Dunes. As we prepare to run the first ever Official 4 Stroke Wars race, the opening race of the 4 Stroke Challenge series, we are optimistic and actively working to secure 2008 back at the home track that built the 4 Stroke Wars heritage in Glamis. We have secured the insurance binder for 2008 and filed for the 180 day waiting period to secure a use permit. We are proud to be apart of the Planet Sand Drag Race Association and be supported by Planet Sand. Please look for updates and discussion topics on www.Planetsand.com under section 4 Stroke Challenge Series. Pre registration is highly recommended as this event to secure your position. 18. We'll be there with the DSD Crew.
  19. I went back and looked at that guy's post on GD.com and he edited his post. He has changed his rwhp to 75, not 85 that he first posted. With all the mods I guess you can hit mid 70's but that's more than I need. I just need a quad that gets my big butt around the dunes without a problem. With that said, I like my suspension, it fits me and the quad just fine. I soften it up just a tad and installed a steering stabilizer which works great. I would guess that with my extra weight, yea I'm over 200 lbs, it makes the suspension ride just fine for me.
  20. I just got one, 2007 GYTR Edition. Like stated above, stock is in the low 40's. I've got the pipe, computer, and intake (lid removed), and I might be pushing 50 rwhp. He must have a lot of work done to his motor or he's hitting the crack pipe really hard.
  21. Thanks, going to make a special trip out there.
  22. Where can I get some of those? Most of those pictures are of the DSD Crew, my kid and dog are on the second page.
