  1. Headed out tonight or first AM Friday. About 8 rigs in our camp about the same place we had the Haunt Last Halloween. See you all there somewhere. Safe travels!!!!!! Oh, I can't wait, I am sooooo ready for some sand!
  2. Last weekend, last year, Halloween, it's all good. You make it your own and there is ALWAYS smooth spots, just the adventure to go and find them is the fun part. It does not matter, you got good friend, food, NEW friends and some time away from the normal hustle and bustle of what we call our Normal lives, You will have fun. Most of all, be safe!!!
  3. Sorry we did not see you. Hope you were able to make it out.
  4. I am planning already...................
  5. My Girlfriend and I were out there as well along with a friend in his Rhino, we in my Rzr. We just watched in amazement and gasp when there was NO turn, or back off. We looked at each other as just teared up as we knew what happened. :-( Very sad, could not see any real response going up but a single person from a RZR trying their darnested to get up there, bailed from the ride and started climbing with a flashlight to the top. We called in 911 and there had already been a call. We could not even imagine only but a mechanical failure or a bad call from a Dr. to send someone over the top literally. You just never know what happens and to be alone in the car? That much experience and who knows what goes on in ones life...... My last ride for the weekend was up the spine/rzr to the point of launch to pay my respects to this fellow duner. I am deeply sadended for this mans family, friends and loved ones. I have "2" kill switches on my car accesable by me or my passenger and that is pointed out to whoever rides with me. We have no control over mechanical failures but we can deminish the outcome with knowledge. Let your passengers know what is your ah sh*t button! God speed.
  6. That little sticker or hanger we all have in our window is our PERMIT as well. What his money is better that yours or mine? I think not.
  7. I have to say, I was overwhelmed with the comments and support from the Duners and tot's (trick or treaters). My family and I made this an event to keep close to us as we had workshops for our children, grown children and our grandchildren so that they could all get involved and be a part. So much quality time is lost with our familes these days and my husband and I found a way that we all could share in the haunt. Without the support and participation of our friends it would have been completely exhausting to do it alone. I have started my book for next year and have a bit more spook in store. So please tell us what you want to see, if you think it, I can build it !
  8. We may be a bit late, but will be there nonethless to help clean up as well.
  9. If I only had the something to say wth, I am with you all in spirit. Can not wait for better weather.
  10. Have your buddy haul out a 55 gal drum for them to use. Heck even an outside shower will do. but I know what your saying. It only takes a couple of runs and they won't even think about a shower~
  11. "It's a Family kinda of thing" Families who dune together, stay together!
  12. Ok, yes the dunes were a bit tore up, but we met new peeps, ran faster than normal due to lack of traffic and even with the tore up dunes, it was a good time. We all came home in 1 piece, safe drive home and now we are looking forward to the next run. Don't have no 70's but still have a good time no matter when we go! Yes, this time some wind would have been nice to clean up things, but oh well. I was not at home, did not have to deal with the home stuff and soooo enjoyed my runs that we did make. So for the next time, we will have another good time with memories............... See you all then....... Yes, thanks Ynot for the camp space. We will know your schedule next time for line up!!!!
  13. Thank you, figure we will actually arrive around 8:30 Green Itasca MoHo with a all white stacker, then my other rig is white Excursion with weekend warrior. 1 ol dog, 5 kids from 15 to 6, quads, rzr's, 2 cars, bikes and fire wood!!!!! Oh, and us 3 good ol folks! If the light is not on, we'll see you in the AM.
  14. Ok, so they are turbo!! I love to feel that speed and the g force, but there is NOT one place that I cannot go with my stock rzr with NO paddles. I have my turbo busa to get my rush. I would love to set my husbands rzr up like this, but.....
  15. We are headeed out Friday afternoon from Apple Valley. Our duner buddies may not make it this weekend and would love to hook up and meet new peeps. Let us know if you are interested in meeting some new peeps!!!!!!!!
  16. My AT&T I PNONE IS ONLY GOOD IN CERTAIN AREAS IF YU STAND ON YOUR FEAKING HEAD!!!! IN MY OWN HOUSE, I HAVE I STAND BY TH3E FRONT DOOR, I CAN TALK WITH PEEPS. NOW WITH MY RV PHONE THAT IS SERVICED BY VERIZONE, I COULD STAND TAKEING A SHOWER AND TALK. FOR THE DUNES I HAVE NOT FOUND ONE SPOT THAT I CAN NOT AT LEAST GET 2 BARS WITH VERIZON INCLUDING MY AIR CARD FOR MY BUSINESS. UNFORTUNATELY I HABVE TO WORK A COUPLE HOURS A DAY WHEN AT THE DUNES. SORRY BUT IT IS WHAT IS IS. MY WORK, MY PLAY AND BELIEVE ME I LIKE TO PLAY!!!!! OK, I AM INTERESTED IN MORE CONVERSATION WITH THE DIFFERENCE AS I REALLY AM GETTING TIRED OF PAYING FOR ALL THESE CHANGES!!!! ONE OR THE OTHER, I WILL GO WITH WHAT IS BEST FOR ME EVERYWHERE. I HAVE COME TO ADAPT TO THE IPHONE BUT IF THERE IS SOMEHTING BIGGER AND BETTER?????? OMG THAT WOULD BE LIKE THE ULTIMATE "O"!
  17. Better Start training to ride now. Before you know it they are right there with you. congrats!
  18. another show of faith in man kind. Not a real duner, just a wann be. Glad we have a family out here.
  19. Really, you don't need sand tires for your RZR to dune anywhere the large cars go or the small cars, even the 2 wheels, You just need to run with the folks who RZR with regular ol tires that come on the RZR. Believe me, My son was hell bent on my buying sand tires, WE, prooved him all wrong. We can show you how!!!!!
  20. New to DDR, but willing to go to meets too. Let me know or where to find out where.
  21. Green sticker fee is the registration fee for the toy, not the tugs that get you there or the entrance fee to a park or Recreational area.
  22. Ok, Hello all, and thank goodness we get to talk about this among all common folk who like to play hard. My family and I enjoy both dunning and trails. In San Bernardino County mountain ranges we buy a Wilderness Pass for the season for one it's $35.00 and we pay an additional $5.00 for second pass for the, you guessed it, the guest pass or day pass or whatever you want to call it. On a business end of it, when you are more general population friendly with folks, (like you and me) you will encourage more participants which in turn would increase revenue. Ok, so stop, you increase people you increase the stupidity, no not really. As one chimer indicated that he would love to have his Mom come out on the Holiday's to enjoy what she raised her children to enjoy, but lost the one soul mate that lead her and the children there all these years past! Some day she or he will not be able to come out. On the other hand, you have the up and comers to the dunes that may not want or be able to come when the rest of the fam comes out and perhaps, introduces their friends to the enjoyment of the dunes. Yep, you will get your idiots, but you get them anywhere. Oh, for the ones that think this is a crazy price to pay, when was the last time you went to one of those commercial amusement parks, that you wait in a stinking line behind other people from gosh knows where only to smell their lack of personal hygiene and on your feet for 2 hours for what, 45 to 90 seconds of a thrill? Yep that for a fam of 4 would easily set you back $500.00 when the ONE day is done! Just think, no camp fires, no smores, no fireworks (oops did I say that) yes there out there and we know it. Ok, no runs with our friends that share a common interest, no North Pole funnies, No south Pole tributes to our Soldiers. I could go on, but I think by now, you get it. Go to the River in the off season, if you stay at a State Park that would run you between $25 to 40 per night with hookups or arrive at the commercial parks and that will easily run you $45 to 55 per night. You can't run the river or lake like you run the dunes but you still have fun with friends and fam. No, I don't want to pay anymore that I have to, but if I have to, to enjoy you, me and my friends and family, I will give up something for the extra few bucks. We are all grown, you can figure it out. Thank you all for yoru time in this endeavour for our satisfaction of this recreational area.
