  2. Ill go.....but I would really like to car pool. I do need to drop a couple parts off at at bruces.... If only one person goes with me.....Ill take our honda......insight.........60+ mpg. Its tuesday......rt?or did it get moved? and the time?
  3. he has a place in barstow, but he is in big bear all the time,
  4. Any chance if I go, we can stop off at bruces house, to drop off a block/crank and pistons? Plus we can harass him.
  5. I was alright with the charge, and yes it is time and convience to me. I live in GV and its an easy drive to decatur and the 215 and easy in and out with my 65ft long rig. Plus it took probably an hour total.
  6. The banshee is blue, has toomey t5 pipes, jetted, air filter, boost bottle. It has a stainless grill, front and rear bumpers and a swing arm skid plate. With a set of paddles, and boots (size 10 ). It runs strong. $3000 I also have a 2000 polaris 500cc scrambler 4x4. Its a auto, with reverse and electric start. Its been a great bike, but we just dont use it. Its so easy to ride my boy rode it when it was 5. Anyone can ride it, and it goes anywhere. t has a new battery. It has a small receiver hitch that can go on, for moving around small trailers. I used it for a 6x12 trailer at some events to move things around. $2000. best offer on both or either as long as Bruce still has his banshee to sell me....if he sells his.....I probably wont sell mine.
  7. First, I d like to say that I went to Carter, because I pull a big trailer and they are easy to get in and out of. I never have really been a customer of thiers before, but today I was helped by a guy named Brian that really was great to deal with. They even called two other people out to help. According to the nv ohv site, you have to go to a dealer FIRST. They have to determine if you have a vin or dont and what it is. Then if you dont, they sign off on it and you head to the dmv. The dmv is suppose to complete that paper. THEY DONT, they have thier own and didnt care if I had already gone to the a dealer or not. So I new I didnt have vins on a couple, no big deal, I was planing on a trip to the dmv. THey DO NOT ISSUE VINS ON THE SPOT (like carter thought, because another guy said they did, and came back with a number stamped in, he did it, not the dmv) They handed me rivets, and wrote gave rivets to owner. So NOw I have 1. page front dealer saying there is no vin, a 2nd from the dmv saying there is no vin and that they gave me rivets to attach my new vin when I get it. One was a pepboys bought baja 50 cc quad (china) that my father in law bought in 06. They dont have a vin, but it does have a plate that says 50, baja and 2006. At one point the dmv said I d have to have the receipt from purchase, I LOL cause yea, no I dont have a receipt from 7 years ago from pepboys. They later said I DONT need it. They did look over them very well, even the china 50 cc pit bike. They had a problem with it because it has nothing on it, no name, no model etc....so they gave in and said its home made....LOL again The sandrail was the easiest. The dmv guys said this is all new to them ,and they really dont know what to do. That this was thrown at them and they didnt think there was much thought in the process. That gives you confidence doesnt it? I had to then go back to Carter. But as it turns out I probably wouldnt have if we would have done everything else on the first visit. Cater thought I would return with a vin, for them to inspect. But instead the dmv just gave me a blank vin paper a to send in and rivets. I guess carson city sends the vin via mail. ? I hope so cause thats what the dmv thinks they do. So there is no need for a dealer to do anything after you go to the dmv. I had to go back because we thought we would just do them all at the same time....I had 8 total. In the end I got 5 vins inspected by Carter and the dmv gave me paper work on 3 more. So I have everything to send in once I get the notaries done. Costs....10$ each for vin inspection. Titles help.... 40$ for Carter to do everything, as long as you have a vin. They will notarize it and mail it for that. and probably 20$ in fuel driving around. Since my bank will do a couple notaries for free, I m going that way ....and sending my stuff in. I only have two more to do, and once one runs again, Ill run them down also. I was surprised that both Carter and the dmv said they havnt really done much.
  8. Are you LE? Thats how some conduct themselves, disregard the evidence. My friends suv was stolen. It was found in nlv, with the wrong front wheels on it, they rubbed the calipers so bad it wouldnt even role. So there were skid marks......all the way back to the driveway it came from. All 300 ft........but hey just because you have a stolen and dumped suv with a clearly marked trail....why even try to catch them? Because it doesnt pay.......it costs the system to catch criminals. That was only one of the most retarded things Ive personally witnessed. I was called to pick up the suv. I have another even better one.....that isnt even hearsay.....its my own personal experience. Thats ridiculous, because "I" one person then disregard other evidence? Besides the fact that even in your quote it gives a door......"just about any" . Well just about every doctor tries not to molest, leave tools in while in surgery, mis medicate, so why should those that do be held accountable? I ve found that illegal aliens and homeless are really good people. Just because thats my experience(its not btw) doesnt make it true or that something shouldnt be done. It is well known that more leo's have more problems then the general middle class society they are part of, which raises the serious question as to why we have this system that lets them have no real checks and balances.
  9. I ve been trying to figure out a way to get this thing. SO Im gonna post one of my banshees for sale. I have a ds650 that Bruce did. It haas the gsxr motor as well, and its great. 130 hp quads is definately entertaining. If someone buys my blue banshee (t5 pipes, jetted, filter) with grill, bumpers and skid plate, i ll buy this one.
  10. Its hard to feel or get motivated for people with any prior experience. Its easy to say shut up or do something, but the reality is that most people that try to do something often waist there time. Im sure Terry feels like this at times. The problem is that most people feel (esspecially dealing with anything in california) that your like a ER doc with a band aid.....and the patient that just came in was shot 13 times.......what do you do? I would like to also go, if nothing else its probably good entertainment.
  11. Awesome I get to go to every white truck and white toy hauler and have grub.........wait is it the white lifted one? the white one with the cool graphics on the trailer? lol...... I always get a kick out of that.......cause Im easy to find. Mine is the red truck, with the really really really really LoooooooooooonG Black trailer. See you know. lol. The unfortunate topic is the staff right? Just like the united states of america, and the leo being part of that huge machine, its broken. The problem is the mode of thought, so it can not be fixed. Hopefully people like Terry can make changes, I applaud him for even trying, and putting himself in that position. The system is broken, so the things that can change are limited. Will it make our moments at dumont more enjoyable? Hopefully. But the problems will still exist. The difference between the us and I think the example was zimbabwa? or any third world country is huge. Imagine waking up everyday not knowing where your food, water and shelter are gonna be at the end of the day? Do you have time to build a road? To build a sewer system? To build homes with ac /heat and plumbing? When your worried about your next meal? There isn t anyone in a third world country thats being taken care of by thier GOVERNMENT. They all are alive because they want to be and work at it in someway. If you rely on someone in a third world country its family. In the US we have millions upon millions that RELY on the GOVERNMENT for nearly everything and expect MORE. How is that Government suppose to operate? How do they feed and clothe the poor, how , with out taking more from all the people that do work, that do produce. That is us, we are the producers, thats why we have toys. That is why the leos come after us, we are the cow that provides the milk.
  12. i use my own..............
  13. ? did you have the pick up off when you did the rear main seal? If not, and you had no pressure then, its probably not the oring in the pick up to pump connection. It was off after though>....? right to check for debris in the tube? The oring either stays on the tube or stays in the pump. Ask and see if they remember seeing it. They dont ussually get damaged unless the tube is installed wrong, then they leak. It sounds pretty bad.... Was the rear cover removed were the rear main installs? Just curious...Was it changed to a different one?
  14. Im looking for thoughts on kids and quads. I think the rule is 50cc till 16yr old? If that is true, it doesnt seem to be enforced or realistic. I seem to let my decisions be made by experience and size. Speed or power isnt really a part of my decision for my kids. I look at their physical ability and there experience and past decision making. (we have (2) 50's a 110, and 200's Just for example......is it wrong for every 80 lb 10 yr old to ride a blaster? How about a 60 lb 7 year old? What about a warrior, or a banshee? Those are lighter quads. What about 450's and raptors? I dont think kids could effectively ride them due to weight mostly. What about a 12 yr old? with ability (100lbs) and experience?
  15. aww come on , mcy D's has the play place......and subway on the way out. I hit it for dec special last trip out. 2$ meatballs.....and then if you want good food, theres the carls...... I fill up the toys in pahrump so I dont lug extra fual around. My trailer is 50ft......but I cheat and pull with a dodge with a lot power.
  16. I take pahrump, and like it much better.
  17. you probably never stick wooden dowel rods in either......when swapping cams, you can try to just stick the lifters up, or dowel rod it and catch the lifter oil groove edge, so none fall as you carefully slide one out and the other in, that way no pulling heads.
  18. thats a nice car........i ended up with quads and a manx
  19. I d probably start it....listen for noise and maybe rev it up and see if the gauge responds. You can drill a 1/8 pipe hole in the aluminum block above the oil filter to get a mechanicl gauge on it. It probably has the cooler though and that makes it tougher. It is common to damage the sensor on the firewall.... on install or removal. You could just take the sensor out.....unplug the coil packs, and spin it over....and put your thumb over the hole. If it makes a mess....its probably ok. Pete, a lot of people pinch the o ring....half on the tube and half on the outside edge. It happens mostly when people do cam swaps and leave the pan and pick up in place. Its a tight squeeze to get the pump back on and in the pick up thats mounted still. I d think in this case its pretty unlikely cause the pick up was off, and they could see the install easy.
  20. The most common real oil pressure problem is caused by damage to the o ring on the pick up tube that slides into the pump. Some people pinch them, sometimes they forget them, sometimes they put one on the tube when theres already one in the pump. Pretty common on cam swaps. If you pulled the pick up off.....(you did if you did bearings) then I d look there if I thought it was real. For the record, ive never seen a sensor do that. It either worked or didnt at all.
  21. Hey guys, I put it in general, cause its not in my trailer, its in my house. I figured someone might find it helpful. The only information I could get was reviews from amazon.....and Id find a more personal review more reliable.
  22. Last sat my water heater went out. I installed it 10 years and 3 months ago when I built the house. A couple years ago I investigated a new water heater, but the prices were pretty high for tankless, so I waited, mine was still working. Fast forward......I waited too long and the tank rotted out and no hot water last saturday. I found that tankless prices came down a bit. I read reviews, I studied, and I ordered a unit from amazon (best price) and a couple flush valves and a descaler. Total price about 700$. This was the for a 27 KW (27000) electric tankless water heater. My tank water heater was outside...and was wrapped but still outside, so I thought I hope to see a reduction in my power bill since Im not heating water 24/7. Anyways the tankless got in, I ran 3 seperate (#6) lines with 40 amp double pole breakers. I changes some plumbing under my house to reduce the run lenght cause the way it was looped. Now I have hot water. I digitally set the temp on the unit up to 140 degrees. I set mine at 120 and its almost to hot to shower with. (after a week of the gym and my shop shower it was so sweet thou) You dont mix cold water with it to get your temp, no need to. Now I get hot water in the shower in about 4-5 seconds....thats right faster then you can drop the towel and step in. No more turning it on an waiting for it to warm up. It also never runs out of hot water. The unit I put in my master closet, Its about 4 inches deep, by 16 inches wide by 20 inches tall. Like a small vanity mirror that opens. It has three replaceable heating elements. WInning so far....... If I remember Ill post up if I see a change in the power bill. Im betting on 30-40$ a month.
  23. This one time at dumont..........I went with two kids and my wife.....and left with three kids and my wife......... We couldnt name her sandy or dumont so we named her after a two stroke.....reese...her nick name is rere....or reeeee reeeeee reeeee. lol
  24. http://www.nevada-ohv.org/register.html ofcourse the first sentence says registration is not currently required........ http://www.nps.gov/para/upload/Nevada_20121009.pdf Ofcourse this is ONLY the NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE site.....and about half way down....its says... ."OHV: Any motorized vehicle which does not have the normal safety equipment such as lights and mirrors or is not built to federal vehicle standards is an off-road vehicle and is restricted to off-road use only. Recreation Decal: Nevada does not currently issue a recreation decal. The designation for off-road use is usually indicated in ownership documents, the owner’s manual or by a U.S. DOT label attached to the frame of the vehicle. " SO can we just pick and choose which a-hole with authority to listen too? Ive been told to do something about it and not just b*tch about it.....looks like I dont even need too......With just some copies you could resonably beat any ticket related to stickers. The more I explore this whole thing, just shows why crazy people kill groups of people. In this day and age, I d be afraid to be affiliated with anything remotely connected with government. They clearly can not govern and should all be relieved.
