  1. I generally dont run without a wideband. On a carbed application, changing boost is hard sometimes. A wideband, egt, and water/meth system are all pretty good additions. Heres a stock 5.3 with a t4......I did..... and I also built the red camaro in the last video.....that was about a year ago. I d change out the aluminum an fittings for steal also. In all the offroad stuff, aluminum an fittings should be tossed out. Vibration kills em.....you can get hurt, kill a motor or turbo with just a broken feed or drain line.
  2. I ve had a laminectomy and later a l3,l4,l5, s1 fusion. That was more then 10 years ago by the most sued doctor in NV history. I ve been pain free and more active then ever before in my life. About 95% of recovery is up to the patient. I now do ironman triathlons, and run marathons.......... Ive worked with Dr Thalgott many times in surgery many years ago. If I had to make a choice today I would see him. He has no bedside manner and could easily be called many explitives, but HE does a good professional job when your cut open on the table. He expects the best from the people around too.
  3. pm some prices.....he 1.6, harness and computer and the auto trans.... I mightbe interested in some other stuff too.
  4. I have two ofna 4 wheel drive nitro cars. Both with 2.1 motors, spare wheels, street tires, wheels, controllers, starters etc etc etc One needs a rear diff rebuild..... all of it......$420.00
  5. I thought you were talking about last night? I ran two cars last night. 12.69 in a nice 68 camaro street car and a 10.06 in a nice 442 street car. The 442 's dist cap cam off and killed the rotor, so no 9.9 yet for it but probably in two weeks.....hopefully...
  6. For the same price as a rzr you can get a decent mid travel rail........ You want a side by side.......for four......go get a samurai or a tracker.
  7. I have a complete 03 4 wd trans.....It was behind the 360. I thinks its a 47re or something lke that.
  8. e85................................
  9. I can do it tomarrow........prob around noon.....215 and warmsprings if your in vegas. 277-5110.....on saturday, im gonna turn the phone off soon
  10. I d spend the money on good rings (total seals) , small cam (265-275 advertized) air gap intake, 700-750 cfm carb, short headers with 2.5 inch exhuast to x pipe to two dynomax's (not slow masters).
  11. I d look for the ones that have a cummins. There was a guy in town doing swaps, but I think he retired. I was told that he did about 15-20 of them. The only ford I have personal experience with is a 04 f250. It spent more time at the dealer in a year then my dodge did in 11 years. The ford had injector problems, egr, egr, egr....trans, trans, trans, trans issues, and an intercooler replacement, and boots replaced.
  12. I ride an old raleigh every day. I do 15-25 miles a day on it. Its old big and heavy, but I use it for training for triathlons. I also have a few other bikes, but my tri bike is a Zipp carbon. I ve even been pulling the kids trailer around with the mountain bike for the load. I pull an extra 150 bs now for the work out. The zipp is a dedicated tri bike, it has a hard enough time with a smooth road. I ride the lake loop, out to boulder etc etc on it, and occasionally out to overton and back via the lake. Ill ride anywhere if I have time, but thats in short supply.
  13. i was just on pass time running a red camaro ss. My kids loved it. I glad they didnt make me look to funny. Not a bad street car.
  14. You only need a class a (or can get one) if your gcvw (truck and trailer) is over 26000. Over 10000 on the trailer is a J endorsment isnt it? You would need a class a if your truck is 13000gvw or more. Is it?
  15. Yea Joe, Does the gcvw of your truck and trailer go over 25999? Did you take the test? yet?
  16. I use ram proline too. He does ceramic coating also, for headers, turbos, pistons coats for the crowns and skirts etc..... I take all my turbo systems to him for coating. He can do chassis as well, and car trailers....I saw a trailer he did.
  17. $30 a person? I heard they were turning cars away cause they had radials on...I figured if they charged to get in, it would be like $2 or $3 bucks. Figuring most people wouldnt even expect to be paying......wow $30...Whats it cost to enter a car? I was at cars and coffe on sat and got flyer for the western states corvette convention. Mind you, you had to pre reg by april 1st, and this was the first I ve heard of it, and Im at c nd c nearly every week. Its rediculously expensive, they charge for everything you might want to do seperately. Its weird, cause I did the Buick west coast nationals (race/show) for 5 years. It was a small deal in comparison and I paid nearly everyone with like $35 entry fees. If you won first round you gotyour entry fee back....I even paid for 24 hr security for cars at the host hotel, and a few comp rooms for guys like Dutweiler......(I ll never do that again)
  18. i need a bug guy (or girl) like pronto for a small apartment building.
  19. An 03 tahoe is about the easiest thing in the world to steal as it is. I doubt they need the key. Even the door lock is useless. I can take your tahoe with nothing more then a flat blade screw driver in about 60 seconds. Dont waste your money on re keying. If anything go buy rear door handles and replace the fronts with no key hole. While they are out, disconnect the lock rod on the front doors. Then interrupt the fuel pump circuit . You can interrupt positive or negative. I ussually do positive switch interrupts but you can get fancy with some negatives. Its ussually the purple wire....I think ....a multi meter probe finds it quickly anyhow. You could also interrupt the crank sensor, pretty easy...but thats risky since if something goes wrong your pretty stuck. Fuel pump iterrupts can ussually be bipased pretty easy, but thieves dont ussaully have the time or take the time, cause there are so many easy victims.
  20. The hot rod fabrication business is good for me. I thought it would slow way down. Instead, it seems people are becoming more knowlegable consumers and seeking out better work for their dollar. In the shop.....ive got 1934 ford dual quad 409 th350 swap 67 mustang vert new 347 ss silverado 402 ls 2000 ss camaro for a cage in the wings....(waiting list) 2007 ctsv turbo build factory five 33 entire car build 383 for a camaro t56 swap a possible 66 elcamino lsx build etc etc I hope for the slow times, cause were manufacturing thing like motor mounts, strut tower braces, lca's, exhuast for 2010 camaros and other stuff that we need to keep on the shelf now.
  21. I know several people with them. They all like them, but say the empty (Not towing)mpg isnt that good. I know a guy that got a 2010,and they deffinately incoperated a lot of nice things into the new truck. The mpg is down on them Ive heard due to emmissions....but I have no other evidence to support it. I run a 12 valve (98) and they are known for the gooood mileage, so Ill be keeping it. Besides no payment for along time now.
  22. Thats a 65......and the show was at the race track. There were 3 orange 65's I think. I took a silver 82 elcamino with a ls1 4l60e, and a 64 vette lt1 t56. I raced the 64 on the auto cross course on sunday. Great fun.
  23. the irony...... QUOTE (50caliberracing @ Sep 23 2008, 05:45 PM) I think thats how it should be in a place like that anyway. Why waiste tax dollars on it when everyone can just take the sh!t home with them. (this part was someone else respomding) I agree with you 100% but you and I both know that it doesn't work that way. Now all the douchebags will just leave it where they camped, or the clever ones will drop it 100 yards away. It's a good idea to make the funds more usefull but I think the trash situation is going to be really bad after the "easy use" dumpsters are gone. Just my 2 cents. my two cents.......well a helicopter is about 500 hr to operate. I have several friends in that business. It was a waist of ca tax payers money for chp to conduct such a sting. On the up side, someone learned who NOT to camp with......
