  5. Just a few months ago for my birthday all my friends got together and bought me a 2.0 subaru motor and the adaptor plate, clutch and pressure plate as a suprise birthday present .I couldn't believe all those guys got that pulled together without me or my wife knowing anything. That is a great bunch of very good friends my dune family. Thanks again guys it will be in and running by next season.

  8. Nice to see you finnally upgraded from the weekend warrior. I like the toy parking area on the roof behind the bedroom your rhino and 450 will look great parked on the roof
  9. After riding in Petes car I definitly would look at Short Sand Cars first Petes car rocks that thing is very well balanced, for such a small car at speed is very stable. Not all cars handle the same the next one I would look at is Tom Pro Designs haven't been in one but heard a lot of good things
  10. Big summer plans for sand rail 1/ Install 2.0 subaru w/ turbo 2/ install bus trans 3/ 3x3 rear arms and coil overs in rear 4/ fab radiator brackets and install radiator 5/ Build new console and dash fiberglass 6/ Build new subwoofer box in rear fiberglass 7/Drink lots of beer
  11. There was an article in Pahrumps newspaper just recently concerning Dumont dunes and the groups and local towns like Tecopa and Pahrump and even Amargosa trying to shut the dunes down due to waste dumped on roads, trash overflowing dumpsters in neighboring towns and eccesive dust and it was mentioned that groups like FODD were trying to help by doing a dune clean up and dust control.Anything these tree huggers can use to shut the dunes down dust, bugs, plants they will try anything. We are lucky to have people like Vicki and Terry trying to stand up for our rights as off road users. The road will never be smooth but if we can show the tree huggers we are trying to work on a fix to their concerns it holds them off from shutting down Dumont like they did to part of Glamis and Pismo. By the way thank you Terry and Vicki for all you do with TRT and all the abuse you take on here for trying to help us all. :no_no:
  12. That sucks to hear ,broken bones are never fun. Get well soon Now more time for this
  13. Drinking bowling and drinking :smoker: sounds like fun were in see ya there
  14. I will be buying a seaon pass including holiday weekends its a very small investment for the amount of enjoyment we get from it. Just think about it for a minute I have paid up to 30.00 per night to stay in a campground in the mountains with no hook ups so your looking 90.00 for a 3 day weekend 120.00 for a whole season thats a great deal if we don't all kick in and support Dumont and stop bitching about 120.00 bucks I spend more than that taking the family bowling for a night. If you can't afford that to do something you love stay home more room in the dunes for me. :smoker:
  15. The bad thing is now I have a visual of Ken in that outfit :monkeedance2: :mc_smiley:
  16. Wow very powerful just reminds me of all my great friends my dune family that I would do anything for and they the same thanks for sharing and bringing back many years of good memories
  17. Same thing happened to me 3 5 gallon cans of race fuel stolen from the side of my house right after a dune trip. I feel your pain that sucks.
  18. Congrats on the new toy I think you'll be a lot hapier with more power
  19. My personal view on buying a quad or toyhauler or anything look down the line as your riding area or abilities change you may want more power or features than you do today I always go as big as I can first time out if the 700 grizzley is not to much bigger I think you would be much happier with a little to much power that you don't have to use.At Dumont with the bigger hills you will want more power. Have you sat on a kawi kfx 700 lots of power don't have to shift and not as big as 4wd quads and climb well in dirt trails. theres alot of people on here with all kinds of different quads find out what you want to try and I'm sure we can find somebody that will let you ride one before you buy one. :dunce: :dunce:
