Look down around the river in the bushes along it. rthey will hide down there to keep away from predators and the smell of the river probably covers their scent and allows them to drink. I know a cpl found their dog after 7 days missing down there. Good Luck

I saw a Yorkie outside of a camp with no supervision on sunday. It was very near the Jeep club camp. The dog did not appear to be 12-14 lbs though so it may not have been your dog. I have a Yorkie so I noticed it. Sorry now I did not go check on it. Hope you find your dog.

yes it is the only free weekend all year. nothing better picking up trash, winning some great prizes and duning for free all weekend!

I will be leaving my seven Hills store about 7:30 AM and coming back straight after the meeting. I might stop at someplace for a quick bite on the way. We do plan on a short FoDD board of directors meeting after the sub group meeting but doubt it will be long. Let me know if you want to ride along?

I heard that just before the Vegas race last year Biffle and his "posse" were at Dumont and he blew holes in several rented Motorhomes with a potato gun. That's a high class guy right there :clown: :hatdance:

Stay away from baker, probably pahrump which is about 40 miles away will have the best accommodations and pretty decent rates.

pretty sure Pete. We only leased 2 machines and they are both at the main entrance. I could be wrong as things seem to run together as i get older but I might be just thinking I could make a mistake.

You have to buy your pass at the big dunes pass station. There are no machines at the little dunes as far as I know of. My suggestion would be to camp at the big dunes on the left side of the road and then take the kids out to the N/E side of the dunes to learn how to ride. There lots of little fingers and transitions to learn on and you can work them up the hills as they get better. You can give them an area and sit in a chair on top of a finger and watch the whole area at one time.

I will be there in my usual spot near #9 from Friday afternoon thru Sunday.

Pat, this a sore subject with me and a lot of fellow duners. I have had long talks with BLM and the LEO's about it. The problem comes down to liability. If the LEO's try to chase down a "speeder" and the speeder runs and flys off a dune or runs into some innocent kid then who gets sued? The younger LEO's are working radar on the main road and are writing tickets they also sit in different areas and see the people who ignore the rules and then try to find them in a camp after they get off of a quad or bike or out of a car and identify the operator. Because this crime is a misdemeanor they must see the crime being committed and be able to identify the operator. This can be tuff to do in a camp with a lot of people who may be unhappy that LEO are there harassing there friends etc. I don't take the bad guys side by any stretch but I do know that BLM and LEO are going to error on the side of caution. We are looking to increase information to be given out to the public but as you all know there has been a reduction of having staff stand at the entrance at all hours handing out this kind of info. As for posting signs on the flats you are just asking for a lawsuit if you post something and some idiot hits it and gets hurt. it's a very tough situation that we are working on and I agree that the ticket word does get around so hopefully we can slow everyone down until they hit the dunes instead of being "pit racers"

Do you know what Yamaha uses as a stock pilot jet?

Got a used Yoshimura exhaust system for my grandsons YFZ. The pipe suggests a 170 pilot /2.5 turns on the air screw and moving the clip on the needle to number 3 position. Any other suggestions or helpful hints for tuning it? I would like to get it installed and running this weekend as he gets to make his first trip to Glamis and I want him to really enjoy himself.

Or you can get a teapot and a French Press. Heat the water put the coffee grounds in the press, wait 3 minutes and you have a great cup of coffee. Your coffee must be ground for a french press though as it is a very course grind.
