  3. Do you have power to the truck side of the plug in? If not I am betting that you have a blown fuse in the truck. I know on Ford there is a big fuse under the hood that when it goes out the brakes work but nothing else does. If you have power to the back of the truck then it's in the trailer and I got nothin for you there.
  4. I have the hard case I thought he was referring to a soft carrying type case. I will look for the cards after the holiday crazy's all leave the stores:)
  5. Where's the best place to pick up a cpl more cards for them and what's your case look like Randy?

  7. BLM already has a "cell in a bag" that is for use out at Dumont and they are going to put a banner up with the emergency phone # on it so you can program it into your cell phone. They think they might already have a VHF? radio that could be used in conjunction with our race radios. We just have to pick a frequency and they will see if they can program it in. Anybody up on that kind of stuff chime in and I will put you together with Larry at BLM to discuss channel's and such.
  8. Nick, the next meeting is the sat. meeting. the agenda usually comes out about 10 days before the meeting but I will check with Dr. Presch about getting it sooner. Although he will not be attending the meeting due to a conflict on his calander.
  9. 80Grit, Nick is right. You have a period of time at the end of the meeting and somewhat during the meeting to ask questions and understand what is being discussed. the voting is left to the members of the sub-group but your input does have an impact. Also your head count does a lot to show BLM that there are people interested in what is occurring at Dumont and how they are taking care of your land.
  10. Ok, we got the next meeting set up for Feb. 6th 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Barstow Field Office. It should be interesting as some fencing topics and other "hot" issues will be discussed. As usual I will be leaving my shop about 07:30 if anybody wants a ride down. We need to show a strong show of support of these Saturday meetings so John and I can continue to get them on the calender.
  11. I think this is a pretty good topic for the meeting on Tuesday. I will broach it with the sub-group. I think some of the questions can be fixed by signage on the road such as freq. #### is monitored by BLM or something of that sort. I will let you know what the discussion is after the meeting. Terry
  12. Try these guys. They are the manufactuers. They also were kind enough to donate to the DDR/FoDD poker run so tell them thank You. http://redartdev.com/index.php?option=com_...t&Itemid=22
  13. Well I am sorry that you took offense to it. It was not a slam it was just a warning about posting signs inferring that the shop is a "Starbucks" I had no way of knowing that you were not the owner or whatever so I was just telling you to be careful when dealing with them. I have had dealings with Starbucks and they don't fight fair nor do they play nice, it was just a head's up. That's it nothing else. As far as being an "annointed" one on this site I can tell you have not spent much time here. I get blasted when I need it just like everybody else. It is a fair site meaning that you normally don't get slammed for stating an opinion as is done in some other sites. But if i am annoited I guess this is as good a place to be as any:)
  14. You may want to rephrase that message and remove the starbucks banner. They get very picky about who uses their name and since I will bet dimes to donuts that your not a corporate store and went to Sam's club and bought a bunch of bags of there product it does not make you a Starbucks nor the right to state that you are and display their banner as if you are a authorized store. You may want to reconsider this line of advertising as Starbucks will shut you down in a heartbeat. You can sell their battery acid coffee and other drinks but they will draw the line on the way your promoting your shop. just a word to the wise .
  15. Hopefully we can set it up for the meeting after this one.

  17. Not going to make it this year but might try to do a day run friday but unk. for right now. Probably next trip for me will be between Christmas and New years.
  18. Get him an LT80 Suzuki. You can't go wrong with those bikes, dependable and hold a good resale value when he out grows it. Joe Duner has a nice one for sale at a fair price.
  19. First of all I want to thank Pete and Anna for co-sponsoring this event! Couldn't have done it without your help and this site. Then a great big Thank You to the volunteers who hung out all day at the checkpoints, I got nothing but great reviews on everyone of you. I can't say how much it means to me to see people spend their dune time helping the cause. Then the people who spent what it takes to get to the dunes and then reached a little deeper to do the poker run. Thank you all and I hope you had fun. Lastly a thanks to all the vendors who donated stuff for the raffle, what started out with 4 prizes ended up being much more and thats all due to the vendors at Dumont so please support them along with Butch's speed shop, Red Art Inc. and Performance Rhino, They came through with some pretty expensive stuff and gift certificates and they deserve your support when you need parts etc. The run was great this year and the mystery checkpoint was a great idea (thanks Anna) and we will have to work it into next years plans again. I had a great weekend, got some nice dune runs in, sat at the campfire with old friends and got to spend time with my son in law, my grandson and the trunk monkey Thank you Walter for everything. :ahhhhh:
  20. What are you a DEMOCRAT? :B
  21. Joe, you can call this guy. He did the plumbing at my store and is a great guy tom deal with however I don't know if he does residential. Gary Phillips 400-5097 tell him I sent you.
  22. Yep I do, but I laid out the run so that anybody including the young, old and slightly infirmed can make it to all the stops with any machine. The secret spot is more in the dunes but actually very accessible to a rhino or any other kind of ride. You will just have to look for it.
