April 26th & 27th at Coral Pink Sand Dunes At Your Leisure and Utah Shared Access Alliance are teaming up to bring you DUNES & TUNES!!! This event will take place over a 2-day period and feature live music, auctions, raffles, and much more. Food and drink will be provided at minimal cost with all proceeds going to USA-ALL to help protect your land access. A suggest $5 registration fee to go to help fund USA-ALL is appreciated but not required. AYL film crews will be on-hand to film episodes of the show, as well as give event participants the chance to sound off on land issues. One of the most important aspects of the Dunes & Tunes event is the fact that these cameras will be there. What we want is for everyone there to take a minute or two and talk on-camera about your thoughts on land issues and what you think the solutions should be to those issues. Those comments will be edited together and sent to county representatives, government officials, and elected leaders across the state so that they know how passionate we are about our public lands. This is going to be a one-of-a-kind event and we want everyone there with us. April 26th & 27th at Coral Pink Sand dunes outside Kanab Utah. YOU WON'T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT!!!!

Ok, last call for anybody wanting to ride down to barstow. I am buying the coffee and fuel, anyone have time to go?
-
I doubt that BLM would allow that type of vendor at Dumont. They had one company that they turned down just because the name of the company was offensive much less their product.
-
Sorry but I would use Joe. Have done so in the past and he took great care of me. I would highly recommend him!

As usual anyone needing a ride let me know? That would be Yes

Due to the changes in the way Ca. funded the OHV money this year grants are available again. I believe Roxie has applied for several. Last year there were no grant OHV funds available.

At the clean up I was able to give away several Hosebuddies for holding down a RV dump hose. Unfortunetly the caps were all missing and even though I handed cards out with each one nobody has called him. He wants to make it right so if you won one of these please contact Jerry at jrick47@yahoo.com and he will set you up. Please let him know you won it at the clean up. Please thank him for his support also! Terry

Ok, again I apoligize if your friend was offended by me passing him. But I saw that he was struggling to keep up and I like to run behind the leaders espically Paul and Pete because they go FAST! The further back in the line you are the slower you are going it's just plain physics. Now having said that and trying to be nice I will ignore your personal comments about me and my car. I try to be extremely safe in the dunes and I think all that have driven/ridden with me will attest to that. To say that I can't tell within 5 minutes of riding behind someone that I can see that they are squirrley and struggling after 30+ years of duning just makes it obivious that you don't know me and that you talk out another hole in here. It should be very plain to you when you look in the mirror who the arrogant d*ck is my friend. In all your posts on this site you have caused more disruption than all the others combined. I think the world of your parents and can only ask if you were adopted? Again I was not intending for this to be a fight but I don't back down from one if it comes my way. There may be snow on the roof pal but there's plenty of steam in the boiler.

Well I was the guy in the rail and after watching the 2 of you struggle to keep up I passed both of you. It was not a race but to keep up with the line I took a slightly inside turn made sure I had room and passed. I know you were never in danger from me. 2 bad things happen when you ride behind a 2 wheeler on a fast ride, first you get rocked ansd I did not feel like loosing a couple of teeth to you guys, second you were so squirrly that I did not want to come over a razor and have one of you lying on the ground without me being able to see you( There is always a blind spot on a rail when transisationing a razor. I left the south pole in front of you guys and you passed me. i was just trying to not be the one to run over you should you have bit the dirt. Sorry if I offended you but I like to let the leaders lead and keep them in sight as it makes my job of following the line easier.

Appreciate the compliment Bob, but Sunday would be the only remote possibility and that's pretty slim. Thanks for the request. :eatdrink021:

I was one of them until I found out it was a girl. Out of the respect for her trying I stopped but cmon Nick nobody can tell that she was a she with all the gear on! Secondly most 2 wheeler riders have such overblown ego's that to see one just fallover was a little humorous.

Leavin Vegas at noon FRIDAY!
-
Cat, thank you for the box of prizes I received today you guys ROCK!!
-
This was a last minute prize that we got so we were unable to do any advance sales. In turn it makes the odds better but limits our ability to sell tickets. Good for buyers not as good for us but we are very happy to have this to raffle off to raise funds for the defense against the Fringed Toe Lizard petition. I would suggest that you have a friend buy your tickets at the clean up for you. If you buy $5.00 you get 6 tickets and so on $20.00 gets you 24 etc. So buy lots! If you need someone you can trust contact me if your in Las Vegas and I will handle it for you.
-
Cat, sorry you can't make it. I had talked to Stephanie and she had advised that she would have some stuff to donate for the raffle. I have not heard from her are you guys still willing to kick in some items? I can have someone stop by and pick them up if that's the case. Terry

Kolbe Cycle sales and Yamaha stepped up this year and donated a Yamaha EF2600 generator for a raffle prize. This prize will be raffeled off at the clean up by purchasing tickets. This money will go to help FoDD fight the Fringed Toe Lizard Petition filed by the CBD. The tickets will be sold for 6 tickets for $5.00. Winner will not need to be present but would be responsible for shipping charges or transportation should it not be picked up at the clean up. Here is the links for the generator and Kolbe Cycle; http://www.kolbecyclesales.com/new_vehicle...;ModelYear=2008 http://www.kolbecyclesales.com/default.asp Our sincere Thanks to both Yamaha and Kolbe Cycle Sales. Please support them !

Steve, that's sand_snakes. Thanks so much. I was going to go buy one to replace it for him. At my age I have a tendacency to forget where I am much where i got something from!

Is it too soon to start talking about the CLEANUP?
ynot replied to SailAway's topic in Dumont Happenings
Craig has already agreed to donate again and I just have to get someone over to pick it up. He has always been a constant supporter every year -
Might make it out Sunday for a day trip. Won't make the meet and greet but hope to get a couple of good rides in. :beer_bang:

Cmon by the coffee store Nick I got some nice little valentines presents that are 25% off. You can get her a gift card or some coffee and a nice little valentine gift for her! Then maybe you can get a kitchen pass?
-
I have progrips and they let some sand in but were great for the automatic lightening/dark of the lenses. However I bought the Oakley Sand goggles and the difference is fantastic for keeping the sand out. I only wear the Pro grips on a dusk time ride so I can see better and try to lead so I don't get blasted!
