They are grading the road on thursday and BLM will be out there this weekend selling passes. It would really help with traffic if you can buy your pass from the local vendors before hand. The way that BLM is required to do credit card transactions is very time consuming and may cause a line at the entrance. If you have your pass beforehand they will waive you around. Check the BLM's web site for vendors and if you are in Las Vegas you can get them at Johnny Walkers RV #3 at Flamingo and Boulder hwy in the parts dept. They just signed up yesterday and are not posted on the site yet.

I get Sunoco 112 for 6.25 a gallon from the sunoco dealer at the off road races. If you want his name and # PM me and he can tell you when the next time he will be up from Ca. to do a race.

Will you allow farm equiptment?

I listen to Sirus radio. If I am forced to listen to local it's either Jack or KKLZ but they play a little to much motown for me. Of course i am over the "target" age group in age.

The machines are not broken. They are not functiong as they are owned by the previous vendor. BLM is trying to work out a deal with them to buy them but as of kick off weekend that has not happened. I am going to the TRT meeting on tuesday and will bring the subject up. Anybody else want to go?

I think there is one called "track on" but have not heard much about them lately. I believe the guy who owns the KTM shop on Boulder Highway is a member. You could try him. Although the Dunes and Trails is a little bit older crowd they have some terrific knowledge about trails. There some avid duners in the club also and then there are the old fogeys. I would join them just to learn the trails they use but "they" don't like side by sides or at least some of the club is adamant about them not being allowed. Otherwise I would but if they don't like my "farm equiptment" why should I spend the time and money?

I wouldn't want you to have to run over any rocks so I will be glad to rake a path for you. Look at it this way you have to come over to get me for a ride anyway don't you? At least I hope you will be coming over!

I could be persuaded to make the trip from bathroom #9. I may have to stop at the official DDR camp to refuel and get lunch but I should be able to get there. You guys don't mind if I drive over there with my left turn signal on do you? :dance:

Sorry guys I had to be at a Dunes and Trails ATV club meeting to go over the latest and greatest about our favorite place. Sorry I missed it but there's always next week!

I got 45,000 miles out of each of the last 3 sets of BFG radials. I wouldn't buy another brand. I like to stick what works!

I heard about the truck break in. Did they find the guy(s) that did it? I know they were searching a camp near ours on Sunday morning. I heard that some guys broke the windows out of a truck while the owner was asleep inside. Heard that they got a stereo but got some bumps from the owner in the process. Is that right?

Mine came with my car but is in car only. I would have to get a different system and go to a push to talk since the wind opens my mike at about 35-40 mph. I have considered it and it would be great to have more eyes while running.

The sounds of the turbos spooling and the bypasses blowing off excess pressure do it for me. My car is loud even with the headsets on, the wind after about 40mph breaks the squelch on the mics. I love all those sounds! Otherwise I would listen to my music which is classic rock. Maybe some CCR, some of the harder stuff that CSNY did and lots of other geezer rock. :worthless_without_pics:

Pete, I had a great weekend and also came back in a great mood. I had put the incident behind me but after he bought it up and then blasted B370 for saying what he saw I felt the need to clear it up. I am done with it and we all should be also. Jeez can't have a little bashing around here anymore ?

Pete I owe you a beer for that post! I thought the road was better than it was when it was just dirt. Is it a freeway, no but has it ever been a freeway? It will continue to get better once they get more material from the I40 rebuild. I have no problem going slow down the road. I have found that after 30+ years of goning there the dunes are still there and I m so glad for it and I like them just the way they are. No Shirt No shoes No Problem!
