ltr450rider Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I am so tired of hearing all this about bailouts and stimulus that I figured I would pitch an idea of my own, since the last stimulus check that we recieved really "stimulized" the economy. Instead of just blatently giving every single taxpayer cash money which WE would almost certainly spend on "foriegn made goods", and WE did back in may and june. I think the good ole' Government should use that money as a rebate on every American made product or service that WE buy. Add it up with our taxes next year. Buy an American car, get a cash rebate. Buy an American made piece of furniture, get a cash rebate. Use an American cell phone service, you get the idea. What I'm saying is that with the money that we are given, we use it to bury the economy even further by sending that money oversea's to foriegn economy's. This idea keeps money rolling around in the US economy and would create jobs and new businesses by creating a demand for American goods. Tell me what you think about that.
