sand chick Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Your a "Rider" Sand Chick. congrats. After seeing some of your posts I thought you were a Rookie!!!! Your no rookie, your a star!!!! Thank you! I have been riding for most of my life.. just not dunes and sand a great deal! Considering the fact that this time last year I was satisfied being last in a group and never getting out of second gear.. jump? NOOOO WAY! Roll a razor?? NOOO WAY!! I was scared of the dunes.. I was scared to do anything besides putt along in the smaller dunes on the way to the North Pole. I just kept trying new things, little bits at a time! I finally found someone (Cory KR350) willing to take the time and show me how to do things. I didn't have anyone really to ride with that was a "mellow" rider.. I wanna ride but I don't wan to slow everyone down, so bit by bit by bit last year I worked on different things! When we went out on off weekends and summer trips.. I would practice rolling razors on the finger dunes and the small dunes! Now I want to see what I can do with my quad.. starting with front "dune tires" The only thing that kept me from keeping up this time was turning ability!
sand chick Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Pic time... Sunrise on Sat morning.. Prepping for the day ahead.. Dunes.. Camping area... WHAT'S THIS??? A Wild Dune Beast!!!!! What a good kiddo you got there Paul! Out and about in the dunes... Is there anything more romantic then a dune dinner by candlelight?? Make sure you get your pass.. they have already started popping people.. Dune Dogs... I liked this one of Mike.. Now to pull a few off of Mike's good camera!

I just thought the whole production process was cool.. Its amazing to me all that work all that way to produce literally the last 30 seconds of a music video!! AND I REALLY FELT LIKE THE PAPARAZZI!! Just Mike Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Ill post some pics when I get home. It was nice meeting you guys It was good meeting you as well Adrian. I am looking forward to hitting the sand with you in the future. We are more or less always camped in that same area. We saw you guys out there ya looked great!! Nice having the dunes un-crowded. Thanks. I was actually blown away by how many times I had to change my lines because there were so many big groups coming through. I was great to see people out there duning. I had a great time. Got to hang with some of our good friends and go through all the little shake down issues on the cars, mine I am happy to say did awesome. No problems to speak of. Even got to take the quad on a Jodi and Charlie. We saw some crazy a$$ group of quads, bikes and rails coming straight down the dunes then strait back up and over again. Gotta love off weekends.
