wingnut Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 My observations from todays trip!! 1. Dumont rocks when we are the only peeps there. 2. Thank goodness the Prez brought T.P. for our bung holes. 3. Ken likes his new paddles. He told us after he rode with them for ten minutes. 4. Yamaha's aren't all that bad. 5. Brakes on quads are a good thing. 6. Not buying filters doesn't mean you can't be friends. 7. Two wheel drive Colorados get stuck. 8. Pete's knee likes reverse knobs. 9. Pauly didn't eat sh*t 10. Jason likes foo foo drinks, and uses a straw!!! 11. Stopping for one beer can turn into hours of enjoyment!!!! 12. Ketchup and mustard. 13. Pauly likes pink elephants. Finally, never good to pass someone going down a mountain when two troopers are on the side of the road!!! Good times fellas, nice two meet the new peeps!!!!OUT

Pauly's CR250 is an OH OH 16. pit toilet bathrooms smell like something beyond a$$ in 108 degrees 17. Pauly has a patch of hair on his lower back that doens't make sense, lol 18. mushroom chairs freakin suck to fold up (like we didn't know that yet, right? :headbang: ) 19. YFZ450's with kick-starts suck to start 20. Dumont dune riding in July with decent weather actually is possible!

Meeting everyone was great, now I have people to ride with. to keep the list going 21. Flatbed trailers can be towed at 100mph 22. No camping fees during the summer 23. Suzuki finally makes a nice bike 24. Meeting someone for the first time you talked crap too on the internet can be funny 25. Finding out that filters you sold will never be paid for

dunefreak Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I'd have to say it was one of the best day trips we have taken! The sun was behind the clouds for the most part all the way up until about 10AM. Good thing too, because that made it much cooler and bearable to ride. It was about 99 degrees on my thermometer on my mirror of my truck when we got there at 5:30 ish. The sand was smoth as hell. There were no tracks anywhere. We were the ONLY ones out there. :smoker: The dunes were OURS! No injuries to report other than racnjason's dislocated shoulder from hitting the witches eye. He was able to get it back in place and still ride with a little bit od pain, but he was okay. Then I hit the same damn witches eye about 45 minutes later! I thought I was gonna eat it pretty big, but thank God for Raptors being the tanks they are. It soaked it up pretty good other than my knee slamming into the reverse knob on the fender. ouch! Here's the witches eye that we both hit... All in all it was a great day and was cool meeting and riding with a few others from DDR....lindernglamis, Ocean03, and crd450. Good times...good peeps.
