The sand did seem weird to me and the main dunes are HUGE. Much bigger then I am used to. Can't wait to go again, hopefully before it gets too hot this year. Quote

They were pretty intimidating to me the first time I saw them, that was back in 2004 and now I know them like the back of my own hand. Were you able to find someone to show you around? Quote
Adam @ GTP Off Road Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 There weren't many riders out there when we were there, so we had to explore ourselves. It wasn't too bad. Would have been nice to have someone with knowledge though. my nephew will be here next week from Oregon and he said he wants to go. He's not to adventurous but if he wants to go I will take him, it's a good enough excuse. Not sure when we will go, but maybe Tuesday or Thursday. I thought the drive was going to be farther, but it took us about 2 hours. we went through Tecopa and down. My escape does well, and I got 18.8 mpg at about 65-70mph. I can also see why you don't ride at nellis after riding at Dumont Nellis really sucks. Quote

If you do end up going out with your nephew, we will be out this weekend Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. We could show you around, sounds like everyone we know is heading to Glamis this weekend, so it should be a quiet one! We camp by BR#6 and have a Nomad hauler and a grey Seirra. Quote
