sMitty Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 With the understanding that POS scumbag thieves can not be stopped only hindered, is there any tips for securing my rhino in camp that may assist w/ seeing my beast when I wake up in the morning? Aside from the standard cable, is there any supplemental security (save the 2nd ammendment) that I can apply ???! THNX ALL Quote
offroadracer Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Chain it to your hauler or truck even if it has a antitheft no start ,they still can push it away and load it to try and start later...best /most cost effective assurance...Chain it up at night... Quote
MAXDOUT Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 yep, thats what i do. kill switch and chains baby. then if i hear something outside...watch-out Quote

Good tips ref security....kill switch seems to be a good plan......has NE1 heard of sum kind of ATV audible alarm that would meet this purpose??? Quote

Dunerocket Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 This may sound stupid but, I was once told to let the air out of one of the front tires. makes it hard to push out of camp. Quote

OGP Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 sometimes what i do, Besides using a cable, I nose my rhino and sandrail up against my hauler then park my duramax behind it. makes it almost impossible to steal. Its cheap and easy. Quote

Configured for competition shooting, and one of the smoothest .45's I have shot. For chaining things up, I like the cables that Pete has on his hauler. Bolts to the trailer frame and is retractable. rhino king Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I take out the motor and battery every night...thats how i roll Quote
high octane junkie Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 have you tried to push a rhino in the sand? very difficult task. chain it up and make it difficult. if someone starts your rhino to drive it out, you'll probably hear it. and if someone does push your rhino out of camp.. if they ever get caught or if you ever find them, take them out for a beer before you beat 'em. they deserve atleast that. anyone steals my rhino out of camp, they earned it. ash Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I love mine, it's the first 45 auto I have owned. The XD is a great pistol. I happen to have the XD 45 Service and the XD9 Sub Compact. Although they are not my daily carry, I still like shooting them. Cannot go wrong with the .45 Quote
ash Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 When I lock everything up at night, I use a cable and I nose everything in towards the trailer, then park my truck along with flatbed trailer and my wife's Yukon behind/angled. Quote
