love the pics thanks for sharing. So many beautiful cars and trucks ruined by crappy paint jobs... LOL I like the simpler paint, the crazy detailed flames and textures... yuck. Like those motorcycles for example... jeez!

I always go straight to the doghouse to find parts. He even found some exhaust gaskets that work for a KFX. I bought like 8 of them.

Awesome pics so far guys! Not a DSLR but I took this vid-cap from one of the slo motion videos. That big camera makes some sharp vid-caps. Not as much color as a real DSLR though.

ooohhh love that one, look how crowded it is.. and I thought 04/05 was packed. When do you think the big crowds started to come to dumont? I know people have been going there for decades but I wonder when the word really got out...

open them in MS paint and save as a .jpg So far Pete has the oldest pic 03. Can't wait to see some older... I know if anyone has some, it would be the DDR crew.

this is my oldest pic of dumont... my first trip. Didn't even have paddles yet. Sometimes in 04. I could go everywhere, just not very fast. this is actually a vidcap from an old video. this was in 05.. EDIT, sorry I am mistaken this one is 06, i just liked it. presidents day 05.. that was the year it rained for 2 months and wouldn't stop... If you look close at the last picture under the fender of the green bike you can see the 2005 off road pass.

I loved the crowd actually. I still camp as close to the mouth between comp and banshee hill. I love the constant buzz. If it were possible, I would camp on the backside of the hill so I could sit back and watch the racing all night.

I know feels like yesterday even more so if you think of a movie that came out in 2005 that you remember seeing. Yet in those 4 years the whole scene has changed. The biggest difference being the size of the crowd. Not even a third of 2005.

2005? I was there somewhere... I love love old sand riding videos. I subscribed to you. I have pics of 2005 at dumont and what stands out besides the number of 2strokes is the complete lack of rhinos, it's all golfcarts.

No we missed the 08 season experimenting with ways to get an 840 to hold together with KFX heads and cylinders. We changed one thing at a time hoping to get it to work. Turns out there just isn't a way even with o-rings so we changed everything over to bruteforce heads and cylinders. Should be good to go, another bike doing the same thing said the brute force parts held (they are slightly bigger). 840 is just slightly too big for the KFX parts, 820 would have worked but I didn't want to give up on the 840. I missed this race but we should be at all the rest.
