That shiat happens at just about every vacation spot where there are lots of people. Even at small campgrounds. :shoot: Just glad the LEOs had no serious confrontations. When you get to the sand, release the tension on the WD bars. No need to remove them. The WD bars transfer weight from the trailer to the truck. You may sink in the sand if you don't. JMO.

All this crap about rider age and atv size brings back memories of when I was 17 and still had to go to a fuggin PEDIATRICIAN for doctor visits! It so sucked to sit there with nuthin to read but Hilights, Dr "Seuss, and rug rats runnin around seeing the same Dr! Just because of my age, I was still a "child". I had a job, a car, responsibilities etc, but had to see a kiddie Dr! There are children who can ride a high powered atv better than some adults, and there are some who should stay on a 50 for several years. (Parents too) If there is adequate skills, training, and common sense, there should be no restriction on who rides what.

I carry an inexpensive metal detector in my toyhauler. Not just to hunt for "treasure", but to assist in finding dropped bolts, screws, keys, wrenches, keys, washers, keys, lug nuts, sockets, etc. Oh yeah, did I mention Keys? When a few people get together and indulge in the liquid courage, you never know what will happen. I Always carry extra keys for everything, but not everyone does. It has come in handy in the sand on a few occasions!

I agree with the above. But, I would spend a little extra and get the propane model. Will last longer, and saves fuel for toys!

The 6.7 Dodge has O2 sensors, Cat convertor, each injector has a calibration code that must be programmed into the PCM, Its a delicate system and crap fuel can really mess stuff up. The older mechanical injectors are more receptive to the bio. Its all the computer controlled systems that make runnin hi % bio a pain. There are bad fuels that can cause problems with any diesel.

JUST A WARNING. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR DIESEL TRUCKS FOR FUEL. SOME NEWER TRUCKS CANT HANDLE OVER 5% BIO. UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR TRUCK CAN RUN ON FRENCH FRY OIL, FILL UP WHERE TRUCKERS DO. THERE ARE AND WILL BE MORE SCAMMERS SELLING LOW BUCK DIESEL THAT CAN F.U. YOUR TRUCK IN A HURRY! SAVING A FEW CENTS A GALLON COULD COST YOU BIG!

Have you talked to your friends about this? would they be willing to sign? I would discuss the matter BEFORE any further trip plans are made. Can your friends ride? Have they ridden in the sand or wherever you plan to go? Are they familiar with the atv they would ride? Anything can cause a problem. In my opinion, if an agreement to release liability, repair damage, and thoroughly detail the atv after the trip can't be done with a handshake among friends, then they are just an acquaintance.

Yeah, your right. I just made a little rant about the situation my dealership is in. Everyone is nervous as hell as no one knows the status of thier employment.

Another reason being a dealership tech can suck. The dealership I work at was owned by Chrysler. It has been for sale for 3 years. It was just sold, and we were lucky enough to have 30 days notice of the change of ownership. We are (were) hourly union and have been for years. Now we expect the new owner to oust the union and go flat rate. We lose all the vacation time we have accumulated ( basically start a new job at a different dealer) probable loss of some/all bennies and now may have to snub coworkers that we used to assist on jobs because we won't make time. That sucks! I enjoy fixing cars/trucks. I emphasize FIX! Now I may have to sacrifice a quality job for the sake of the almighty dollar!

Its a high tech world in the "mechanic" area. I hate being called that. Nowadays thats like a put down. Technician is the name. With all the computer controlled "everything" on cars and trucks, diagnosing a mechanical problem can be very difficult because the computers can make adjustments to make an ailing engine run better. The changes that have happened in the last 20 years, just like your PC, a 2003 car has half the technology of an 06. Keeping up is a pain.

At 4 bucks a gallon, it would cost me about 400 bucks round trip to dumont and back. I was bitchin' a few trips back when I paid 2.11 a gallon! Sure as hell aint gonna do any 4 day trips to the D any time soon! Living in Modesto, I am 240 miles from Pissmo , 285 miles from Sand Mountain, NV, (never been), 440 miles from Dumont, and 550 miles from Coos Bay, OR. (Oregon Dunes) and Glamis.(never been to glamis) I will have to make some decisions when it comes time for sand fixes! I envy all the duners that live less than 150 miles from sand. Must be nice!!!!! How about the price of Propane! $3 a gallon! There will be more people who can't afford to enjoy offroading or boating anymore. There will be a lot of atvs for sale There will be a lot of RVs for sale There will be a lot of trucks for sale. There will be a lot of boats for sale. Bottom line, There will be a lot of people changing the way they recreate.

Probably use it as an anchor for small ships.

What a waste of my tax dollars!!!!

I was going 60 the speed limit is 70, trucks and cars were going 60/70. WTF! So if they drove into a tree, you would too? I was waiting to get the Les Schwab tires. So driving on 2/32" of tread while towing a loaded 40' toyhauler is ok? Took out 600 yards of guardrail. I would be friggin proud too! A quarter mile of guardrail! Yes! I kick Azz! I think the WW is totalled. The frame is damaged. Really! Anyone with a welder and a hammer could fix that thing right up! The van should be repairable. Even drove it from the scene. Wow, safety sure is high on your list! So is stupidity. To matter of factly describe the accident, almost proud of the damage you caused. Oh yeah, pat yourself on the back for possibly saving lives because the road was closed for 3 hours. And take pictures! I hope the insurance Co. really makes him hurt in the premium dept! Fuggin moron.

Sweet ride! Just beware, those 700s are heavy and scary fast!
