  1. That looks sweet! Are you gonna have it ready for the test run at SM? I oughta run up to Jamestown and check it out in person!
  2. Fixing a fuel line while smoking? Uh, OK! Or is that an optical illusion.
  3. We always bring Doritos and rice krispy treats for humans 110 for the honda and the rail 92 for the Kawi and the genni Iams for the dogs Diesel for the truck
  4. Lets see. If Yamaha builds a rhino in 08, that would mean at least 5 model years for Yamaha and the aftermarket to make all sorts of modifications that improve the ride and durability of the Rhino, let alone all the other useless stuff that people buy to keep up with the Jones' Rhino. No wonder a Rhino finished Baja and the RZR did not. If the RZR is successful, then the AM products that will be available will make the RZR that much better. As it did for the Rhino. I do not own an S by S, and really have no opinion. But from the RZR slams in the posts, there seems to be some concerns that there will be some competition for the rhino in the coming years!
  5. http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Ran...RZR/Experience/ It looks even more BADAZZ on the site!
  6. I would like to think education would help. However, you can't teach common sense. Check out the other threads on idiots riding through people's camps, not cleaning up after themselves, taking over a finger dune, the list can go on and on. I have my opinion on who goes out of bounds an regular basis. Its the same people who ride through camps, don't clean up after themselves, etc. The majority of regulars and responsible adults know where to or not to ride, or seek out the info. If they do wander out of bounds, they realize it and make it back to "in bounds". A fence is more likely to be an effective solution to the problem. I am fully against the fence. I like the look of the wide open desert. Save for a few out of bounds signs that I don't ignore. But if a fence is gonna keep DD open, then so be it. The idiots will find something else to piss off the BLM.
  7. If you have an extended warranty, and plan on keeping the rig past the warranty periond, AND you know someone at a dealer, THEN you have the oportunity to get "spare parts" for the future and take full advantage of your warranty. You just have to play the game. Dealer techs may know what I am talkin' about.
  8. There is one very lucky person! My wishes for a speedy & full recovery. I can understand some of the injuries like the arm, ankles, etc. However, I wonder if how the seat harness was mounted contributed to the back injuries. Another thread had pics of a LT that landed on its roof. I took a look at my rail and made some frame reinforcements and repositioned the harness mounts to the recommended angles by harness manufacturers. As a result, I believe my passenger and I are safer. I also will avoid riding in a rail that has "this will be OK" harness mounts. I also will NEVER let anyone start, ride, drive, try out, putt up to vendor row, any of my toys! (Unless I trust them with my life. A very, very short list) Whats the saying? An ounce of prevention....................... I am sorry if this offended anyone.
  9. I think I found the solution! Check it out! http://www.thetoyrack.com/index.html
  10. I HAD Carlisles ( load range D) as OE on our Blaze'n. Had one start to fail within the fist 1000 miles. Did some research and determined Maxxis or Greenball were the best. (IMO from the research) The few Maxxis dealers could only order what I wanted. Not good if you have a problem to fix now. Discount/America's tire had the greenballs in stock. Load range E. I replaced all six on our trailer. I kept the best for a second spare. (bought a wheel and another spare winch and mounted it next to the oe spare. Extra insurance for triple axle trailer) Have been to Dumont and Oregon dunes and have 6K miles on them and they look like they have little wear. The Carlisles were wearing relatively quickly. I have the aluminium wheels rated at 65psi, so, I do not run the tires at the rated 80.
  11. This is What I was looking for. I thought I have seen this kind of rack before but it must be made out of unobtainium. Maybe someone knows the source.
  12. Its been a great 2 years! Some awesome stuff has been brainstormed and Lots of info on legal issues and how we can help keep Dumont and other areas open to ride! I hope the comraderie stays as strong 10 years from now and beyond! Congrats to Pete as well for 2+ years of dedication and hard work to keep DDR.com the Kick-Azz site it is!
  13. Here is the deal. The wife says we can get one of those mega fivers with lotsa slides that has a 14' garage. The catch is, she thinks only the quads will fit and we can only get the rig if I sell the rail. OMDB!!!!! I can drive my buggy better than I will ever ride a quad. (I have only been on quads for a short time) I do love riding quads though. Anyway, I need to find a way to put a kfx 700, trx 400, and a beam car in a 14' garage. Ease of loading/unloading is important as well. Any info would be great! I have no probs getting the toys in our Blaze'n. I am no rv snob and am happy to have what I have. Just want to call the bluff. :gayboy:

  15. I wonder what the weight carrying capacity is? Not mine I bet!
  16. Got an extra 200 grand layin around? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-F-350-...125639555QQrdZ1 IMO, A waste of time & money. At least he used a ford! Lots of time and money wasted on fords!
  17. Man, I figured the flyer was triple-quadruple spell checked! After this final find, any other miss-spell is up to someone else to find. I feel like I am piling on the Prez! Borrowing is missing an "O". (borrwing) Sorry Pete! Thats it, I'm done! Got a question, after you fixed "responsibility", the word kids' is hanging off the border. Will that have an affect on printing? Thanks! Sorry to make you work more. ( Just the anal speller in me)
  18. Hey Pete, Need one more "I" in responsibility. "responsibilty". Not that I'm checking or anything. Thanks for all the work on the flyer!
  19. Did you click on the link on the home page or in this thread?
  20. Fantastic! I am surprised this hasn't been done sooner! Great job! Jumping on the grammar/spelling wagon. (Responsibility) is miss-spelled........ "responibilty"? Just trying to make something thats perfect, more perfect!
  21. A paved entry will be great! They should make a big turn around at the pay booth too, for all the looky loos who want to check out the dunes and leave.
  22. The new tetanus shots are painless. Had one a few months ago. See the doc. Better safe than prosthetic.
  23. I have replaced two intercoolers on 05 dodge trucks with 5.9 diesels in the past two weeks. They had the plastic tanks at the inlet and outlet ports. The tanks separated from the main section at the seam. Both trucks have 5th wheel hitches on them. Neither had any hop-up kits. I checked mine and it had plastic tanks. I replaced it. (Warranty) The new intercooler from Mopar has aluminum tanks welded to the main section. If your cooler fails, you will lose power, NOW! There is no recall or TSB on this. This is just a "heads up" to all Dodge diesel owners. Don't run to the dealer and want the cooler replaced. I replaced mine because I could. Just be aware of the potential. All trucks were 05s including mine. FYI. (Factory intercoolers are 700 bucks)
  24. Shooting pigeons is illegal where we live. So is poisoning. I don't know about trapping them and "disposing" of them. people have used fake owls to scare 'em. There are spike strips that go on where they land. Making it hard for them to land/perch may help. Poison some bird food near where they hang out. And if anyone asks, you The cat idea can work too. But then you have to find pigeons to feed the cats once all the birds are gone! Find out where they nest and take that out. http://www.critterridders.com/pigeon_trap.htm
