I keep reading about some of the stupid thieves that steal things. It seems like if the thieves want it, they'll do whatever it takes to get it. We have those heavy chain locks on our toys and we always camp with other people. We had an incident where some guys were snooping around our camp this weekend and we suspect our billet gas cap was stolen. Almost all of us have a dog (or 2 or 3) in our trailers, but since Dumont is so loud, not one barked. What are some of the things you do to prevent the a$$wipes that steal?

I think it's good that they post things about people driving unsafely. However, the posts on the blue funco thread about vandalizing the guys stuff are out of control. Glamis or Dumont???? DUMONT!!!

We had a great time over New Years weekend! The dunes were all tore up until yesterday. Having the option to ride the Rhino vs the quads was awesome. I love our new Rhino, but I love my TRX450, too!!! We had a few crazy things happen this time. On Sunday night, some drunk guy ran into our friend's flat bed trailer. He must have flew 20+ feet. His YFZ was wedged under the trailer and he took off the back ramp of the trailer. Luckily he hit the trailer and not someone in our camp. He tried to get away and claimed he didn't have any money to fix the trailer. About that time we'd had enough and had the BLM come get him. He got a DUI and they confiscated his quad. We must have had 5 or 6 rangers at our camp - they were really cool! On Monday we discovered that our billet gas cap was missing from our Rhino. Mark went looking for it around camp and in the dunes. We figured someone must have stole it because those things don't just come off. Luckily he brought the other gas cap or we would have been SOL. What a bummer, though. I just bought it as a Christmas gift. At about 3 am on New Years morning, our friend caught some young guys snooping around in our other friend's truck bed. She thought it was someone from our camp until she called out to them. They were supposedly looking for a tow strap because someone got stuck near comp. She told them to get out of our camp! Besides the crazy things that happened, all in all it was a super fun weekend! We had an awesome time with our friends. I'm glad Pat & Maryann came out this time! Thanks Taylor for getting our YFZ back from the baby dunes! It was great to see some DDR folks yesterday at the North Pole! We can't wait until President's Day weekend! Here are some pics:

We saw them - they were pretty cool! I liked the Christmas tree lighting on the dunes on New Years. Did anyone ever go back and get the tree? Looks like it was still there yesterday.

Ok, Mark would kill me if he knew I was still up (but I am doing laundry and making sure our RV list is updated). We're leaving early tomorrow morning. I thought about doing an all nighter, but then I'll be super tired tomorrow! This is what sucks - After all the stupid research I did on the web and DDR on our toyhauler, we cannot get our 2 quads and Rhino in the dam* thing!!! We don't have wheel wells, but there's this stupid metal part that sticks out where the quad tire is supposed to go. Push it foward and it's too close to the Rhino, push it back and the ramp won't close. Plus, my Honda is wide. After all the fun we had tonight, we're putting a quad in the back of the truck! Oh well!! I guess we'll have to get a new trailer - just kidding!!! Ok, maybe in a couple years!!! Hopefully, we'll see you all at the Meet and Greet tomorrow. Have a fun and safe weekend!!!

I'd still have them fix it. Otherwise, you'll be stuck trying to explain it someday when you sell it.

I just caught Sketch eating out of the litter box. I'll make sure he gives you a big wet kiss this weekend!!

We got the long flag pole from Poles and Holders. It's really awesome! I got Mark a flag and light, but he's never used the light. He has to figure out how to wire it. One of these days we'll get it on there! Our friend zip ties a rope light to his flag pole. it's great because we can always find our camp at night!

Our Raptor is having issues with the front cap warping. We also had some warp issues with the siding. Keystone is going to take care of it in March.

I'm bringing my thermals! Apparently, it's snowing right now near the Spaghetti Bowl - crazy!

My dogs are always in the trailer, all snug and warm. Bear hates the fireworks - he's EMO!

I got all kinds of stuff for Christmas. One thing that was funny was that I got 2 sets of knives and my aunt is also supposed to be giving me knives! I wanted really good knives because ours suck, so my sister got me a really cool set or Henckels, but we didn't like the handles. Mark got me a set too (he said that's what I get for talking about it on DDR). We're returning those, too because he got them at Costco (easy return). I'm exchanging my sisters for another Pro set of Henckels with better handles. I also got a nice set of front dune tires for my quad. Rocky Mountain sent us the wrong set of rims - Mark was p*ssed, so he ordered them from somewhere else and they arrived FEDEX today. Yeah!!! I also got a new set of goggles, a really cool So Cal jacket, a Fox beanie, socks & playing cards, dinner and movie gift cards. Mark also got some WE gifts - like bling for the Rhino! The most hilarious thing was that we each got each other a California Duster and wrapped them identically! We're definitely meant to be together! My mom got me a Coach purse - yeahhhh!!! - and some jammy pants from Abercrombie! All in all, it was a great Christmas! We made an awesome prime rib, creamed corn (Gulliver's recipe), salad and lots of wine!!! My parents came out, so we got to spend time with both sets of family! It was GREAT! :xmas4:

3 more days for us! I don't know where we'll be camping. We can't wait. It'll be our first weekend with the Rhino, now with blue plastics!!!

You can rent several lanes at bowling. We do that all the time when we go in groups. It doesn't really matter. since my parents are coming to town and Mark & I have been feverishly trying to get our downstairs bedroom ready for them (and get the house clean, presents bought & wrapped, etc, etc, etc), I'm not 100% sure if we can go. We will be at Dumont for sure New Years Eve weekend! Yahoo! :dance:

Yes, variety! We've been to Pismo a couple times. It's nice there, though.

That's cool. What are the camping conditions up there? Are there hook ups or it is dry camping like at Dumont? Are there a lot of riding areas?

Bowling sounds like fun! We used to play in a Friday Night league at Sunset Lanes - not at Sunset Station Casino, but the more ghetto one on Sunset (Alleygators). They're actually pretty cool there and their drinks were pretty inexpensive. Al's Garage is cool, too. I like it better when the weather is warmer, though. You can sit outside and hang out!!!
