  1. When a friend of mine came to fix our garage door, he saw all the toys inside and said "I wish I had cool parents like you!!"
  2. I understand your point cheese, but don't neccessarily agree: "to be able to pass the great sport we love down tothe next generation, and be RESPONSIBLE about it." Not my #1 reason for having kids. That's just been icing on the cake. Throughout the years, I have met many people that wanted children desperately, but were not able to for whatever reason. Then there's the flipside, TOO many of the "wrong" people pumping out kids right and left and not capable of being good parents. It's difficult for us parents to understand why non-parents have chosen that path, because children fill a special place in our heart that we did not know was empty!
  3. Ya know Don, with the foster care system in such crisis here in Vegas, I have been SO considering doing this! My problem is I would get so attached I probably wouldn't want to let him/her go.
  4. We have 2 of each. My oldest (son) is from my "previous life". Davey is the only dad he has known and I am very lucky he took him under his wing. I did always want a girl and I got my way twice over. I know whatcha mean about horrormones, they run rampant in this house! Despite the emotional issues, I am really enjoying my girls these days. Not interested in boys YET, 13½ and just turned 12. We have a good time together and our conversations have reached a new level. I'm sure boyfriends will be a HUGE issue with them so close in age. Our youngest, Little David, well I would definately not accuse him of being easier!! You know that curse our parents put on us, "I hope you have one JUST LIKE YOU!" Well my mother-in-law got her way and he is a whole other thread all by himself!
  5. Here too, well, Davey anyway!! Best decision we made after #3 in 4 years was born. Phewww, whatta relief!
  6. If you have seen it, maybe this will jar your memory. Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty (the "squealer"), John Voight, ummm, and I think d*ck Sergeant (the 2nd Darren on Bewitched)....canoe trip gone WAY BAD! My long term memory still works, it's the short term that's scary!! :jester: Dang auto-censorship.....d*ck as in name, not a certain body part!
  7. I had the bed in my new shop truck sprayed to protect the paint. I haul all kinds of cargo and the bed was already getting banged up inside. The lining is not slip-proof, so I have a rubber mat on top of the liner to keep said cargo from sliding around, thus it's for my protection, too. Don't want pallets shifting in the bed and this combo is working out VERY nicely!! Even brake drums don't budge.
  8. Now I can say I know TWO people that have never seen that movie! Before tonight, I would have figured it was like the Wizard of Oz, everyone has seen that movie more than once in their life time! P.S. Once upon a time, I could play that little diddy on my guitar, well, the beginning solo part anyway.
  9. Then is on the ground!! Seriously tho, glad to hear of the postponement!! If they do decide you "get kicked back for being all busted up", maybe they'll find ya a cushy desk job pushin' paper somewhere....anywhere but there!! In a perfect world, no more souls would be sent over there, but it's not a perfect world.
  10. Did ya notice the license plate?? Utah, Hendertucky, same smell.
  11. I got that in an e-mail the other day at work and was gonna post it up on here, somewhere, but ran out of time. I knew DDR peeps could appreciate the fabrication on that one!! Just add some airbags and that puppy will be ready to roll!!
  12. :mc_smiley: I declare you President of the Titanium Team for that little diddy right there!! You earned it! Glad you can laugh about it now, bet it wasn't funny when it happened. P.S. Thanks for the , I really needed one.
  13. Just thinkin' about it. Gotta get daughter to school by 4:30 a.m. Sat for the Advanced Choir trip to Disneyland. Spring cleaning is overdue around this house, inside and out. Will have to pick her up from the school around that same time Sun morning. So I doubt I'll be very productive come Sunday afternoon. Crystal ball predicts a loooooong nappie somewhere in between.
  14. O.K., now that just plain PISSES me off!! Every year, we get screwed BIG time. We pay fees based on $8500 MORE than we paid for our rig. Something about that just ain't right. :mc_smiley: P.S. Dani, that statement is not directed at you, but the system!! Just goes to show ya that it pays to know the right people!! You are one lucky b*tch!! :mc_smiley:
  15. The ironic thing about the refund we received, arrived just in time to turn around and send it right back to the DMV to pay the renewal fee on the hauler for that year. SO, was that like the DMV paying the DMV?!? :mc_smiley:
  16. DAMN dude!! I can't believe I didn't see your post before tonight!! Honestly, I hope they reject you, at the very least keep ya stateside! I feel the same as everyone else, can't say it any better, can't say it at all. Stay safe.
  17. I must say, there has been many an occasion when the line to use the dump station wrapped around the whole park. Of course, it was at the close of a MAJOR holiday weekend. I remember a time when the line used to form out onto the roadway, from both directions! Then they got smart and started directing the rigs into the park, "5 miles an hour, no trash in the dumpsters, and dogs on leashes." Anymore after the big holidays, we don't bother going there, Davey takes the hauler to the Flying "J" and dumps for free.
  18. We've always had a good experience, LOL, as dumping goes. There's the little ol' man (a resident) that kept us chatting for quite sometime, coming home from an off-weekend trip, so he must have been lonely. And on more than one occasion, the guy collecting the $5 fee hung around our rig shooting the breeze while we were waiting in line. Our last 2 trips out there, the park was not busy so I took the fee over to the little store so as to save them a trip across the street. (One of those trips duniemonkie busted me standing on the street corner, oh wait, that's another thread ) A year or 2 ago, we were informed that we were not to leave our garbage in the dumpsters, so we obliged. I must be a 'cause I need someone to explain "Flatbillers" to me. We thought the very same thing!! Until Davey was at a TRT meeting and learned what Terry explained in his post. Question: now is the extra traffic through Pahrump gonna be a problem in the future if we all decide to take thatroute instead? Are they gonna b*tch about us too? I should hope not!! We ALWAYS spend $$ on our way thru town, been going that route about 3 years now. Top off the truck, fuel the trailer if we didn't in Vegas, and a fuel and potty stop at the "quickie" mart always means drinks and munchies for the road. OR there's McDonalds for lunch, Burger King on the way home, well, you get my point.
  19. I guess there's a new club on board.....The Titanium Team!! Joking aside Steve, glad surgery went well. Here's to a 100% speedy recovery! Take Care.
  20. I'd be a bit worried goin' thru the airport with you!!
  21. Actually, I thought it looked more like, " "
  22. You wook marvelous!! I hope Prom was marvelous, too! Anxious to hear about it. B)
