    Sweet! We'll be leaving the gas station on Blue Diamond & Red Rock turnoff probably around 4am. Once at Dumont we plan on parking off to the left by the base of the big face hill and superbowl. We can meet u either place.

    I've just heard of drag racer guys being harassed about their pipes in the past. I though it was because of the noise levels, but it was probably more for spark arrestors. They fit that certain profile though and were probably doing something else illegal in the first place.

    ^ there you go. Most super loud pipes don't have spark arrestors. I think there still is a noise limit, but it's a CA law, not Dumont/ BLM.

    I think we're going to have some nice weather Sunday! High of only ~100 instead of like 109 or 110. That's not bad at all. We might end up making this a whole day trip.

    Welcome to the site, Doug. DB levels aren't really highly enforced at Dumont unless you are already busted for something else they'll probably write you up.

    d*ck LMAO Yeah we always do and get little feedback from FB. Most duners who actually dune/ ride, especially those who are die hard summer runners, are here on DDR.

    It's only $99 for the whole kit. The website seemed to start lagging shortly after I posted this. It was right after I got the email about it from Go Pro. Maybe it's popularity has draw a ton of traffic to their site. ? It says on their site the wifi signal is good up to 600 ft. It works on the Hero 1 or 2 according to the website

    I'm pretty stoked about this. Gotta order one up soon! This will come in handy capturing photos on a ride instead of having to grab still frames from videos wasting battery life and card space.     From my experience in hosting events at Dumont, I was told by the BLM if you are advertising it in any way, collecting money, registering participants or giving out prizes you need a permit. IMO, these races are borderline organized. Informal, but still organized and competitive in the LEO's eyes. They really arent much different than people talking about going out on Presidents Day and racing each other up comp hill. Again, many other factors come into play when citations get written.

    Doesn't really matter unless you are trying to fight it in court. I've come to realize it's up to the ranger, his/her mood, how cool or uncool he/she is, the conditions surrounding the gathering, your attitude, how many laws or rules your breaking, etc. There's alot of factors in a LEO's decision to cite someone regardless if it is actually a valid citation.

    It is no secret the BLM watches the forums. They have been doing it for years. Hell, we even have some BLM and San Bern Sheriff Dept as members on here. As far as the BLM's definition of "organized event", it is usually based on how involved it is and how big of a crowd it brings. Also whether or not everyone that shows will be playing by all the rules determines if they send out rangers. What were they ticketed for?

    Good man, Randy. I am sure just about everyone else on here would have done the same. We're all hard working, honest duners like yourself and hate to see other people lose their toys that they enjoy so much. Sounds like this is going to turn out to be a great outcome for the owner.
