Dave, DDR consists of more than just everyone in our camp. We've got over 300 members! Hopefully anyone else that made it out last weekend came back okay. Oh and JJ, just get in touch w/ me about the paint guy. I'm sure he'll hook it up. As for fabricators, there are many. Josey did an awesome job on my car, but he's really busy right now. Maybe try Mike @ Sin City Sandrails. His work looks very nice and he also specializes in fixing other buggies.
  5. I should be down to go. Hopefully my spindle will come by then. If so, it should be a go for that weekend for me.
  6. Sure but I'll have to wait till tonight. I am at work till 5ish. I'll get em up though, they look pretty good.

Yeah that jump is pretty sweet. I found it shortly after I bought my car and usually hit it every dune trip. Its pretty easy to find too, just right behind the superbowl.
  8. Overcast almost all weekend. Little bit of sunshine every now and then. It only rained late in the day on Sunday. Pretty windy at times too.
  9. huh? Whachoo talkin bout Willis? Thanks
  10. Yep, both his kids were in the back seats. Luckily they were ok and took it pretty well.

Landed a bit hard on the left front and busted my spindle. :angry2: The car pitched down in the front landing on the the front left wheel at such an angle the spindle snapped. I guess I shouldn't have hit that jump on an angle or that fast either. Time to give Larry a at SSC. Oh well. No biggie other than my buggy driving was cut short for the weekend.
  12. The dark overcast skies made for some interesting pics... FMFLover taking a snapshot (Angela/ PaulyPaul's girlfriend)...
  13. Here's the pics of JJ's sandrail. He just bought the car and brought it out for it's maiden voyage. As he came down this hill.... (note you can kinda see his tracks on the far right) ...the car slid sideways and pitched in a way where the left front tire just stuck in the sand and flipped the back end of the car right over. Luckily everyone was ok. The car sufferred some damage, but can be fixed. Sunday morning they managed to get the roof back to almost normal for now. I couldn't beleive how straight they were able to get it! They just used a bottle jack and some wood and look... Don't worry everybody, he's gonna fix it right though. That was only a temporary fix to be able to go cruise around a little bit. JJ, sorry about the rail. That really sucks, but like we said before- cars can be fixed or replaced and people can't. I am glad you and everyone was okay.
  14. Don't sweat it Terry. I have my lazy days too. Like today. I didn't go out into the dunes once. I was sore and hurting Next trip for sure, we'll hook up for a ride. :angry2:
  15. Dumont was fun of course. When I showed up Friday night, I decided to get my truck and toyhauler buried deep in the sand. The spot that PaulyPaul had was soffffffftt. Jim (Sand~~Snake) got stuck then I pulled in and got stuck as well. It was quite annoying because it took us about 2 1/2 hrs to get us completely unstuck. :angry2: Oh well it was entertainment at the very least for ynot and the tres hermanos. . After getting both rigs out we moved camp over to harder packed ground. Weather was nice on and off. Mostly overcast the whole weekend and windy at times, but not real bad. There was no late night movies on Friday, but the weather allowed for movie night on Saturday. After a buggy ride w/ everyone on Sat am, we stopped and jumped a bit with the cars. :angry2: I hit the jump a wee bit too hard on an angle (not squared up) and landed on the left front at a very bad angle breaking off the dr. side splindle. Wheel went flying but the landing was still pretty soft. The car immediately got kicked around 180 degrees, but we were ok. Thanks again to Don, Joe, & Tim for helping me get my car back to camp. Tim (Originalpimp) had some breakage on his car as well. His crank trigger reluctor broke somehow. But that's not all the bad buggy news. JJ (LVNALOLIFE) flipped his sandrail. Luckily everyone was ok. He came down a hill where we were filming some video and he got crossed up a bit and the left front tire stuck and the whole car catapolted end over. Sad part is that was his first trip out with his car that he just bought. At least the car is fixable and no one got hurt. I'll post some pics under a new thread about the rollover. All in all a good trip though. I had fun and Sat night was a blast like usual. I think my head still hurts a bit from this... , and the champagne, and the god knows how many beers I had. Happy Freakin New Year!! :headbang:
  16. Ok, cool. Tell me what exact size etc in the thread under DDR gear/ custom DDR stickers.
  17. What's this you guys sh*t? :mc_smiley: I'm not worried abut the weather one bit. If its sh*tty, its sh*tty. The sand, duniemonkie, friends, beer, & myself will be there regardless. :DDR_rocks!: Can't wait.
  18. whatever, I just talked to Don and he said it has been beautiful out there since he has been there. He said it doesn't even look like it will get sh*tty either.
  19. JJ, Baker is over 30 miles away. Shoshone is like 17 miles away. I think Shoshone would be more accurate.
  20. Nice car (and jump), 1sicbuggy :DDR_rocks!:
  21. I think it is gonna be beautiful. At first the report said rain (which you still can't go by), now it says only cloudy on Friday & Saturday. Showers Sunday, but I bet it doesn't rain. Shoshone weather report
  22. I found this on thedeiselplace.com. I thought it was kinda funny. :DDR_rocks!: It has 24.5's on it. Notice that they are 10 lug! Pretty goofy if ya ask me.
  23. He left pretty early for the dunes. He's already at Dumont right now. (Wed)
  24. I'm there rain or shine. I haven't driven my own car or ridden since Veteran's Day! I'll be there driven or riding rain, shine, snow, or hail. I need to get my fix of sand damn it! f*ck rain. It didn't stop us on Pres. day 05. Just cover the firewood with plastic, get a HUGE fire going and kick it under an easy-up. :DDR_rocks!: :mc_smiley:
  25. That's a badass motorhome!! I'm sure I can spot that one out there! :DDR_rocks!: Hope to see ya on the DDR ride. :mc_smiley:
