  1. That's why you go to OTD cycle and nothing is discussed besides- price, heres the cash, heres the quad, thank you come again!
  2. Seems to me that from what I remember from my first trip til now the entrance was much narrower in only a few years time. I don't know for sure though since I almost always go the back way from pooper 3 during the day and only go through the whoops at night and only to get there.
  3. 100% for me. a hardcore conservative. You believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense. Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.
  4. I agree. Maddison was on Jason Ellis' show on sirius faction today and said his next goal is 400' and after that he's hoping for eventually 500' but that's just crazy.
  5. Hate to tell you this but Maddo just did 350+ in a distance contest in Australia and hit 378 in practice. EDIT- here's the link Clicky
  6. One MAJOR problem I see with bio-diesel is that it uses food to make fuel. Not just food for people but food for cattle, pigs, chickens, turkeys and just about every other animal we eat. I wonder when all the feed the children people will start protesting the tree huggers?
  7. It's not that it needs it, the bags just help level out the truck with the trailer hooked up.
  8. Hey Capt, sorry I forgot to take pics but it's fairly easy to explain. on the left side of the glove box it narrows down to just a few inches front to back and the gauge and switch plate fits almost perfectly. Drill a hole about 1/2 inch through the back of the glove box for the air line and the power wire for the compressor. Mount the switch plate to the back of the glove box with the supplied screws. Personally I mounted the compressor under the hood on the passenger side fender well, there's only one place it will fit there so it's not hard to figure out. I then ran the power wire and the air line to the gauge inside the top of the fender into the A pillar and then behind the dash behind the glove box. I ran the air line to the bags straight down to the frame and back along the passenger side frame rail to the rear axle mounted the tee so it goes straight to the passenger side and tee's off to the driver's side. Just make sure you keep the line away from the exhaust and leave enough slack for the suspension to move and not pull on it. Lots of zip ties work wonders for keeping it up out of the way of everything.
  9. They can't and they don't. The charge you to use the compressor. I know it's retarded but all gas stations are required to supply air at no charge but the law doesn't say anything about the compressor.
  10. I do! I just hate changing tires...
  11. I check the pressure on every tire on the trailer and truck the night before leaving. I also go around and "thump" and look at the tread of every tire every time I stop. Guess it's a habit from my job as a truck driver. I have lost one tire coming from Dumont and it musta been flat for a while because the next time I stopped was in Beatty after checking them when I got to the pavement and had a 2" ring of rubber on one wheel. Never saw, heard or felt a thing. Now I stop when I hit the pavement and when I get to 95 at Lathorp Wells and in Beatty and when I turn at the Cottontail (Hwy 168) and..... kinda got anal about it after finding that rim.
  12. I'll have to take some of the gauge install tomorrow when it's light out, damn digital camera doesn't feel like working so I'm stuck with the cell phone camera for now. Oh and just for info it is way easier to install the bags with the bed off the truck. Just so happened that when I decided to get them I had also decided to go with a flatbed and after I helped a friend put his on a couple months later with the bed on sure mad it tight even with the wheels off. Just pull the bed bolts and there's a couple plugs behind the bumper and it's off.
  13. I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2 That's where my group usually camps, almost to the end of the finger past bathroom 3 out from the finger by a hundred feet or so keeps people that do get that far down from going through camp. Although the finger isn't right next to you it's close enough to walk over and let the kids ride.
  14. I have an '06 F-350 dually and a 40' Warrior. I recommend getting the air bags not because it pulls funny or anything but on the 1 ton trucks there are 2 sets of springs, one for empty to be smooth cruising down the highway and then the actual 1 ton springs that are more like overloads you would add on. The weight of the trailer will drop the truck 2 or 3 inches before it gets to the stiff springs and your headlights will be way high. I didn't think I needed them until I made a trip at night and in about 60 miles got flashed for bright lights 43 times, so unless you want to adjust your lights every time I suggest you get them. They're not very expensive and super easy to install yourself. Also if you do get them I would suggest the onboard compressor to fill them, it isn't needed but makes life sooo much easier. A good place to hide the switch and gauge assembly is in the glove box on the left hand side where it's narrower to keep the dash clear. If you'd like I can post some pics of how I did it.
  15. That's the bitchin' thing about the increased fees... We actually get 50% of the money no matter what but they doubled the fees to allow the eco freaks to still get their 14mil a year to close down riding areas.
  16. If I remember right there was a LEO from Glamis on gd.com that said that they were writing tickets for "improperly" installed rear seats such as not having a cage and not having seat belts and not being secured safely to the vehicle.
  17. I figured NV would be better than CA for registration but I guess I was waaaayyyyyy off. Just before I bought my hauler 2 years ago they changed the law for registering toy haulers. Used to be that if you had a certain percentage of "storage" space to "living" space you could register it for $25 yes I said $25 for 5 years. This year my registration was $225 just paid about a month ago.
  18. Just saw a station about 20 miles out of Bishop at $4.99 a gallon on the way home from my easter trip to Crescent dunes.
  19. $4.099 in Bishop yesterday morning. Put a little fuel in my roll-off truck and barely got 80 gallons for $350 bucks.
