  1. I watched! That show's pretty cool. Sharon's a frickin tough one! I can only imagine having to deal with that croud.... But it sure would be fun.
  2. Besides all of that.... Nobody even knows if he is actually a natural born citizen of the US! He still refuses to release his birth certificate and has placed court injunctions to prevent anyone else from revealing it. Even if he was born in the US, as he claims but won't back up, the Muslim school he attended overseas required all students to be a citizen of the country the school was in. Had he actually become a citizen of that country, when he came back to the US and became a citizen again he would then be a naturalized citizen. That would still make him ineligible to be President as well.
  3. That's what I was thinking... But hey, Robby Gordon's race driven NASCAR car only sold for like $73,000.
  4. For sure goin' out Wednesday thru Sunday or Monday. Only get one or two trips a year to the D so gotta make the best of them.
  5. The stretch of the river from just south of Tecopa through Sperry Wash and through the dunes that I think is a 15 miles long is being labeled a "recreational" designation, North and South of that section will be designated "Wild and Scenic". I looked into it the instant I heard Armagosa River when the bill was first announced. As far as Boxer goes she's nothing but a lying sack of *^&$!!!! My mother is Inyo County's 3rd District Supervisor. The Inyo County Supervisors are 100% against this bill and have done all they can to fight it. Unfortunately the Mono County Supervisors are mostly in approval of it. There were meetings held in Bishop and Independence by the Supervisors for public comment on the issue since Boxer and McKeon broke the law and decided not to hold public meetings in the effected areas. There was an overwhelming opposition to the bill. Senator Boxer appeared in front of Congress's Natural Recourses Committee to propose the bill, the Supervisors had a live feed from the hearing, Boxer claimed that the bill was necessary for saving the wilderness areas of CA and more importantly was completely unopposed. The AAPL group has been working very very hard to prevent such a designation from happening. They have come up with a designation that would be much more appealing to the majority of people. The designation is called "Semi-Primitive Recreational". Here's a link to the maps of the proposed wilderness Clicky Edit-- Apparently they have updated the maps for the Armagosa River since they initially announced the bill. The original maps showed from Tecopa South to 127 as recreational. Now the maps show the section of Sperry Wash that is in the Kingston Wilderness as "Wild" but North and South of it as "Recreational" I don't know how that will effect the trail.
  6. Funny stuff right there........ :black: Oops
  7. I can honestly say I have never noticed excess heat in the passenger compartment of my Rhino. :shrugs:
  8. I removed the flap that shuts off the vent in the MBR because every time the heater kicked on the surge of air would shut it on it's own. Luckily I don't have kids so whatever friends stay in the back get to freeze while the MBR is perfect.... "Don't mean to sound like a jerk but I'm the one that paid for it so I get what I want! " One friend that crashes in the rig on most trips learned to bring and extra blanket after the first trip in winter. To answer your question I think if you don't want to get a replacement vent for the bathroom you could put a box or something on top of it to block it off.
  9. What do you think about Bravo Burger by the baseball stadium? For me it's a tossup with In-n-Out.
  10. Did you purchase an extended warranty??? If you did then you probably still have a warranty until that expires since extended warranties are usually backed by independent companies. The null and void warranty is the factory warranty only.
  11. Ummm yeah..... did you forget you already posted this????? Clicky

    Recycling

Just look at the top of a few cans on either side of the tab and see if it has a CA CRV stamp on them, if so you're golden.

    Recycling

As long as the cans have the CA CRV stamp on the top then you will get the $1.70 a lb, however if they don't they are worth scrap aluminum value which is roughly $1.00 a lb less. The CRV is nothing more than a way for the government in CA to get people to recycle cause they think they get more money. Not really the case, when in CA every time you buy a drink in a can you actually PAY the "CRV tax" so you basically just get the money you spent back. My family business runs a recycling center and being so close to areas like Tonopah, Hawthorne, and Fishlake Valley we get lots of people with lots of cans that aren't worth sh*t.
  14. Some guys that my group was camped with one trip had some ramps made similar to Bob's but higher and fit 1 Rhino, 1 2 seat mid engine buggy, 2 adult quads and 1 kids quad in a 37 ft WW fifth wheel with I think 17 feet of cargo space. They put the kids quad in the front of the kitchen, backed the rhino in put ramps on either side of Rhino, one quad sideways in front of the Rhino, pulled buggy in front end first above quad and hood of rhino and one quad sideways behind the buggy. When they first said they were going to put all of it in the trailer I laughed and said no way possible. I was wrong...
  15. A friend of mine has an 01 WW and I have an 06 WW. The quality of the workmanship in my trailer is much better in just that short time period. The only problems I've had were my fault, frozen toilet valve and frozen fitting under the kitchen sink. Other than those little things I've had absolutely no problems in the last 2 years. I just don't see the "cut corners" people always talk about.
  16. Honestly... His feet sticking out from under the tarp is pretty messed up.
  17. What exactly do you want to improve? As far as tires go I thing the SkatTrak 7 paddles and front smoothies are awesome. For performance I have a K&N precharger intake, Two Brothers dual exhaust, Dynatek CDI, KMS sheave and duner kit. Runs great in the dunes, goes pretty much everywhere without too much work. If you can get around pretty good but want stability I would say LT is the best route, although wheel spacers or offset wheels work great too for much less money.
  18. And the Sierra Clubber's wonder why people are so against this bill... That's the sad part.
  19. There is currently a bill in the works by Congressman Buck McKeon and Senator Boxer that includes the Armagosa River and its Wild and Scenic designations. Although I believe the Armagosa River part of the bill is a great thing for the duners but this bill is being fought vigorously by the AAPL group and a majority of the residents in the primary area affected, the Northern Inyo County and Mono County areas. Just for info I am extremely against this bill in its current form, a large majority of the proposed "wilderness" areas in no way fall under the definition of Wilderness per the Wilderness Act. This bill will essentially lock the gate as far as access to the mountains to anyone who can't walk there on their own two feet. Although they are "cherry stemming" roads into the maps history has shown that once the bill passes the roads are closed shortly thereafter citing people not sticking to the roads. Here is a link to the bill Wilderness Bill Edit== I should add that per the maps the Armagosa River section from Tecopa through the dunes including all of Sperry Wash is to be designated Recreational use.
  20. The fake yawn seemed to be the same clip over and over and over again. The wonders of editing.
  21. That guy was very cool. When we were hangin' at comp on Tday he stopped by us and in a very stern voice asked my friend what she was drinking, she said Tecate, told her do dump that crap out and get a real beer. "Anybody have a Bud Light for this poor young lady?!" I was literally . Then he have her a sucker.
  22. The spindle may not look bent, but it sounds like it is from past experience. you can't really tell just by looking at it. Do you have stock wheels or offset wheels? The easiest way to find out is to measure the distance from the ball joint on the tie rod to the wheel on each side. If it's different then typically the one that has the shortest distance is the one that is bent.
