  1. It's like anything else thats a market leader today, does not mean that it will remain a leader tomorrow. As mentioned by White Rhino, it's a business decision that was miscalculated, and the leadership made some bad decisons based on who knows. It has nothing to do with the product. For those of us who purchased a WW which I'm still happy with my 08, and look forward to many years of use, it's still a solid trailer that although right now, it may have marketing issues, with the closure of the company, as long as there's parts to be had, the market will bare the resale of these trailers no less than those who are still manufacturing. For those of us who purchased a secondary warranty, that will get us past the base 2 years, and then were in the same game of those who are out of warranty with any other manufacture. Yeah, it sucks, but thats the way it goes. Sorry for the soap box
  2. We've had both, and like most of what's already posted, its really what works for the type of stuff your into. Moho gave us the ability to tow either the desert toys or the lake toys. It's totally cool to have the wife grab you a cold one, and something to eat while your hauling across the road. As mentioned, if you run into bad weather or get stuck where you can't or dont want to unload your toys to sleep, Moho are great. The issue we also ran into was it was not until we got a Desiel Pusher that we had enough power to pull our boat, (28ft) so we were limited to just Desert toys or a second vehicle. We had a 35ft Moho, and it had a big 454, but it was still under powered at times, but when we got a Moho with the pusher, not an issue. These may not be an issue for some, but for us these were our deciding points to run with a 5th, which is very legal to tow if you have two-way comm, although I cant get the wife to ride back there, she cant tell me how to drive apparently :shout: No kids to haul anymore Could haul Quads and Jet Ski same time in garage. Setup Camp - still have a travel vehicle Rescue vehicle to get toys 5th allowed us to get into places (4x4) tow vehicle that I had trouble or could not get into with Moho Got hauler with a sealed garage, so no more gas or oil smells in the 5th and can sleep or use the hauler at any given time. If and when truck beaks down (had this happen last season) AAA towed 5th to nearby trailer park, truck went to shop, we stayed in 5th for 5 days, all our food, and stuff was with us and at $35 a night, it was less painful than hotel, especially with dogs, and we still had a decent time. 3. :freakin_nuts: Happy Birthday Pete. In China at the moment setting the last plans in action for the Olympics broadcasting in a few months, but could not just let your Birthday go by without a shout.....should be home in a few weeks, maybe we can hook and I'll buy you a beer..... SP2 Mike
  4. Dude - you got to save me two of the quad stickers, I'm stuck in New York.....this sucks.
  5. Danielle - I went to the factory last weekend to get my trailer back and they gave me a can of what they use to stain the trim and cabinets - same as yours....I fixed all the cabinets in about 10 minutes...if you want I can get you hooked up with the name and type, I thinks its something you can purchase locally here too, works excellent. SP2 (Mike)
  6. Truck started running really rough coming home from Cali last week pulling the TH, when we came up the final climb on the Baker Grade into Vegas. Was able nurse the truck home drop the TH and after changing fuel filters, no change, so took it to the local ford dealer here in Vegas. Got the truck back today, and they found two bad injectors and decided to replace a third one. They also upgraded my progamming and sent me home with a $100 deductible on a $1483.00 bill. Thank God for ESP this time....I've got service records that shows I replace those fuel filters ($85.00 set) every 15K miles, which is twice what Ford says to do it, so I thought I was being safe. Apparently not, but they could not give me a specific reason for the injectors failing. We originally thought it was bad fuel in Barstow at the Pilot Truck Stop, but they check the fuel for contamination and no issues were found. Just seems like a high dollar amount for 3 injectors....Must be the mechanic's big bucks for labor
  7. $1K for the 5 star viewing Hotel and full blown catering of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, plus your invited to the Pilot Party afterwards. :no_no: $150 if you want to have seating in the bleachers on the shoreline dead center of the course each day. :beer_bang: $ 15 for general seating per day. :beer_bang:
  8. Hey Pete, paid $4.27 in Barstow Sunday, paid $4.49 in Rancho on Saturday....it seems to be 18-28 cent more per gallon in So. Cal. Indio and that area is typically higher than most So. Cal locations kind of like Desert Center and Needles. Were dragging our TH back to Barstow for the Slash-X run, not looking forward to filling up at all. Given a choice, 15 would be faster, due to the multiple lanes and no so many curves and whoops.
  9. I'll be there, working the shoot. We start setting up on Thursday the 1st and I would not miss this event for nothing. If you've ever been up to the Reno Air Races, these are the extreme of air racing.....it's a different format, timed thru pylons, but the flying is unreal. For those of us who are pilots, its just unreal to see what the aircraft and pilot must go through in order to make the times. The event is broken into three days, although the WEB likely only shows Sat and Sun, but Friday they will be sitting up and you'll see some of the teams shooting speed runs, G-Banks, and it's also when they are taking up the VIPs, and Media types. One of the best seats is if you have a boat, you can launch at the public ramps, and get really great spots to view the races. If you get an oppertunity to go....it's worth it. SP2
  10. I scored 93% which means I am a hardcore conservative, and a proud member of the John Birch Society.
  11. Hey Bill - Weve got some friends from Victorville that are coming up too, but getting together would be good. Since most of us have Dog's, were likely to camp off to one side out of the main stream, just to protect the pups....We'll keep them in the TH with the air going while were gone, but we tend to let them run in camp while were all there. Good Dogs, nobody's got any pee on your gear dogs. Yeah PM me and I'll send you back my numbers as well.
  12. Historic Texas Town for Sale... Albert ,TX http://cgi.ebay.com/Historic-Texas-Town-fo...1QQcmdZViewItem Yep you too can own a chunk of Texas....Bids at $19K right now.
  13. Woody - you likely just come up for the day being so close, but do you know if the camping area is fairly large? SP2
  14. Hey Bill - Looks like we may have a few peeps from DDR coming out, when we get closer, maybe we can setup a time to meet everyone....
  15. Pete - Cant say the I would not like to attend the music festival instead, so hope you and Anna have a great time. There be more times to hook up and ride. Vikki and I were thinking that maybe we should get together for a day run here on the lake with the boat, and soak up some sun and a few beers...
  16. Wait you forgot to pick us up .... :surrender:
  17. Anna are you guys like picking tomatoes or onions or something? :surrender: The Slash-X ride is excellent....
  18. Hey Brian, maybe we'll see you out there, were still gathering some local friends to see who's all going too. SP2
  19. Just wondering if anyone is going to the Barstow Slash-X Poker run on April 26-27th.?
  20. Your Right, and that's why these young guys get the backup from Red Bull and others, its all about the money, and tv like all other media is based on capturing the consumer market. Like I've mentioned to some on the site, working for ESPN, we never would have shot this type of event 7-8 years ago. If you remember when CBS shot Evil at the fountain, their share holders went nuts and pulled that off the air so fast it never made the nightly news. The papers published it, but not until years later did they again show it. When we first started, NASCAR wrecks were shown up to a point where you could make out the car, but that's it. Now, we'll show the drivers, car, and sideline help getting nailed when a wreck happens, because if we dont, somebody else will. Just a few months ago we shot the cliff divers in Mexico, including the exetreme ones who hit the rocks....and last year although we'll likely not go back, but eventually we will, the extreme freestyle base jumpers in Colorado in Golden who take off from 2200ft and have less than 3 seconds for any correction or they eat it into the rocks...several did, and although the final edit didnt show them up close afterwards, some of the outtakes were right up to that point....but they will eventually I'll bet in the next 2-3 years. The general public see's so much of it these days, that it pushes the next guy to go even more extreme to get his 15 minutes of fame....sorry Great Jump - You got to give that to him.
  21. Hey Ash, I just left from there about 2 weeks ago, so there should still be beer in the frig. Dude you should take the United Flight from Vegas to San Fran, direct to Hong Kong, and shuttle to Macau it's only 13hrs over, and 15 hrs back. Enjoy, Macau is excellent...be careful of the .99 Cent DVD movies, the Customs A$$hats in LA are breaking down on bringing those back in from China....take away plus $250 per each DVD.
  22. What the hell are these people eating.....must be a cousin..... and the family pets I know back seat of the bus...damn Hell here we come...
  23. That is too bad, sounds like a great time. It's the same weekend as the Barstow Poker Run at Slash-X and were already hooked up for that. :poop_hittin_the_fan:
  24. Anna with all the damn gear we bring, another suitcase would likely go unnoticed - come on!!!
