  1. We used near stock size Sand Stars on the wifies KFX 700. Way way TOO small. Fullerton sand tire offers a teriffic 24 x 11 x 10 rear that is the way to go for the heavy kfx 700. My wife with her KFX 700 w/ the stock size Sand Stars in action. Click on pix to play movie:
  2. Pro Com has a nasty rep too: http://forums.atvconnection.com/messagevie...adid/462527.cfm
  3. www.maximumrpm.com has a CDI or some are simply pulling the grey wire. No feedback on the Maximumrpm cdi that I've found. http://www.maximumrpm.com/atv/parts/zoom/CDICAN-AM.html In the quad and side by side aftermarket everyone lies to you. No supplier seems honest.
  4. Those deferments are the only thing that make the plan work, and the only true retirement many of us have. I gotta feeling the average person will suffer under the Dems. Republicians havent been anything to brag about, but this move by the dems would be really bad.
  5. I took my wifes Honda S2000 along with friends in their S2000's on the 50th aniv. James Dean run up the Pacific Coast. We stopped at the places Dean got gas, bought apples, recieved a speeding ticket, (some debate on that, but we take the CHP officers word on the location), the Porsche dealer where he (and my dad) bought their Porsches. We finally ended up at Deans famous fatal car wreck site in Cholome (pronounced shaalamm), Calif. I was contacted by a French writer who asked if she could accompany me and my friends and it was a really good trip. She was quite a character. But that's another thread for another time. My wife wanted me to take her on a historical car run too. So: My wife an I had a few days off and we decided to do a Clark Gable tour, and mix it in with a trip to Las Vegas in our new 2009 Z06 Corvette. I grew up in poor mans Encino Calif, but not too far from our tiny tract house, "South of the Blvd" was Clark Gables Ranch house. I'm guessing he had about 40 acres in citrus, nuts and some other fruit. Since sub-divided and sold off by his second widow. We drove up near 4580 Tara Drive to the still standing Clark Gable home. From here our adventure began. We took off for Las Vegas. Off the I 15 just before you enter Vegas,, we headed up Blue Diamond Hiway to the Good Springs tavern. You can spot a huge metal cross on the side of the mountain (southside of highway) just before the tavern. Legend has it (as told by the drunks at the bar) Clark Gable has it errected in memory of his wife the popular actress Carol Lombard, who's fatal plane crash was a few hundred yards away. Legend also has it (as told by the drunks at the bar), Gable drowned his sorrows at the "Famous Goodsprings Tavern" while the authorities brought down the remains of his wife. A piece of the DC3 wreckage was displayed at the tavern the time when we visited. You can hike to the site of the plane crash atop Mt Potosi. Molten aluminum, radial engines, and the landing gear of the TWA DC 3 still are at the site. It had just burned from a wildfire revealing a scattered pile of cool old airline aluminum serving trays and other DC3 odds and ends. We then headed South to Route 66. We stopped off at Oatman Arizona and had lunch at the Oatman Hotel. Different operators run the restaurant kitchen from time to time, so it's a crapshoot on the menu and quality. Every time we eat there it's good, and good entertainment anytime the restaurant and bar is open. If you open the side doors next to the stage, the Burros will walk into the restaurant. The bar owner will get sore at you though. Walk upstairs in the hotel, you can visit the Gable/Lombard honeymoon room open to the public. The couple stayed there the nite they got married: At dawn the next morning they left for LA, Gable had a late call that next evening to start filming Gone with the Wind. Final stop Forest Lawn Glendale Calif where lots of stars are burried: Clark Gables (former) home today:
  6. I found letting the wife pick her quad was the best and I stayed outta it other than negotiate a deal. Amazing how many guys pick the quad for their Wife or GF. The guys usually pick the quad they want, not what would suit her best. Wife settled on the KFX 700 w/ Elkas and she loves it, and the sun came up the next morning. 10 x 7 rear tires are essential: http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f18/tpc1...ke2NewYears.flv

  11. We've been ordering aftermarket parts from them and the service has been very bad. Plus the customer service stinks too. Just a warning, avoid them. AKA Escondito Motor Sports.
  12. Any feedback, pictures tips or tales of this event??
  13. We register for ours already. Now if Polaris would address the weak electrical system.
  14. I just installed Electric Dump Valves on our trailer. We had the cable remote RV dump valves, and they suck. Ya get a lot of sand in your tanks like it or not, it can jam up the valve and sand gets into the cable and they gum up and become difficult to use real quick. In addition to other issues ya get with the manual cable remotes. The valve bodys themself location are too awkward to replace with the simple common RV dump valves, so I had to go elect/remote on the black water. Three mfgs of elect RV valves on the market, and I took advantage of Camping worlds return policy to try them all. The Barker 3" and 1 1/2" valves don't have a knife edge style valve disc, and that can be a problem with tissue jamming the valve. It's a big deal believe me. Also, the Barker doesn't have a remote control. But, for the grey water 1 1/2 " valve, it fit my needs even without the remote switch. It works fantastic. For the 3" Blackwater I went with the Drainmaster. It has a remote control with the all important indicator light,, powerful motor, and a guillotine blade for a valve disc. The drainmaster 1 1/2 inch requires an adaptor kit that requires awkward and hard to get at cutting the pipe and installing. I'm not that ambitious, especially when other options are avail. The Valterra is simply an add-on motor to a standard Valterra waste valve. Avail in 3" and 1 1/2 inch. It is popular, and a big seller, but kinda Mickey mouse and clunky in operation compaired to the others. But, might be the valve set-up for you. In some cases, you can adapt them to you existing valves. I'll try and shoot a video and put it up. It's very difficult to post pix & videos on this site compaired to V bulletin sites, but I'll give it a try.
