  1. I see and understand your right honorable opinion. May I add though: GM/Ford/Chrysler has to survive: 1. Their gripe that they have to be joint-venture build to do business in other countries, yet no law like that forcing the foreign companies to do the same here is a legit b*tch. 2. Foreign governments cover healthcare and retirements is an advantage that the big three don't have in the USA raising their cost of doing biz here is a legit b*tch. 3. GM Ford and Chrysler pay 40% more on average in US taxes compaired to Foreign makers on their own home soil pay to their home Govts is a legit b*tch. They have to be helped. Yeah, very bad management, but the economic meltdown caught us all with our pants down. Too much is on the line. I need parts for the 'Vette and GMC is my selfish interest. Only the big three make towing vehicles that fit our needs at an affordable price. Pete the Dunefreak is vested with GM & his future and job depend on the company landing on it's feet. What was his crime to deserve this? GM won't go Chap 11 bankruptcy,, GM/Ford/Chrysler will go Chap 7 liquidation without the loan. It's a loan, not a freebie.
  2. When Pete first put the DDR site up their was some discussion about 2 different companies that made a combo twist / thumb throttle. Any takes on these? Anyone remember the brands? We got a new internet service and lost our links. Thanks.
  3. Plumb forgot the name of an independant quad shop in Las Vegas. They don't sell any major lines of rides. They are teriffic with tires and wheels and accessories and performance stiuff,, awesome staff and service. It's been a few years and we forgot who and where they are. Large building, back off the main drag nice showroom excellent shop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We'll be in Vegas soon and need them to so some work. Much appreciated if anyone can help us find them. We're unlocals and can't remember the place.
  4. One thing we have discovered is most the UTV suppliers lie to you. They are sup-Liers. Anyone have any takes good or bad on the Hypercarbon Beadlock wheels? Appreciate any info before we drop a grand on them. We'll be putting them on our Rzr.
  5. It's called the 170. Berts is supposed to have them this January. Polaris has them on their website.
  6. Wheel spacers are as mandatory as 5 point belts. Glad you guys are ok. Thieves everywhere.
  7. They added a Jimmy Buffet and Elvis channel. The vibrasonic Rock and roll 50's and 60's works when crusin' in the Vette and racin' Magnum Hemis. Wolfman Jack is good for the Soul. Perhaps ya need to suppliment with some CDs' or the iPOD.
  8. Good reading even if you never touch the tools: http://www.amazon.com/Keep-Volkswagen-Aliv...p/dp/1566913101
  9. Missed it. Love the HR. TRU has another good program on called the Investigators. A real eye opener.
  10. A few friends own body shops. They say the happiest customers have AAA or Progressive. Best service.
  11. 2002 GMC Crew 4x4 2006 Honda S2000 1996 Buick Regal 2006 Toyota pre-runner 2009 Corvette Z06 2002 32' Prowler Travel Trailer $1800 per year maximum coverage/$200 ded AAA. Look at Geiko closely. Heard of some monkey biz with their costs. It may be cheaper, but the payments sometimes extend beyond the policy coverage time. Eyes wide open.
  12. I believe that is the easily overlooked idle jet that needs to be blown out. Also, jumper the low oil shut off deadman switch.
  13. I'm starting to wonder how different the 90cc quads really are from one another. The Polaris, Kawai, Can Am, and now the Yami all look quite similar under the tupperware. The enclosed, fan cooled 2 valve 4 stroke. The Zuki 90 still quite unique though, and the Honda 90 heavy, clunky, and long in the tooth. But, maybe it's just me. The Yami 80 ran the best IOHO's of all the 90 and under quads, and hopefully the new 90 will be a bit better. We're buying one as soon as it arrives at our dealer. Some of the 90's on the market offer CDI kits, which lifting the RPM limiter is essential before any mods should be done. A DDR tip: If you have the Can Am 90, look under the right fender, locate the CDI box, and smartly pull out the grey wire. It's a simple bullet connector, it'll pull right out. The RPM's will rise noticably, as well as a more correct timing will thus be allowed. If we don't sell the Zuki Z90 maybe we can get Pete to do a shootout test on the Yami vs the Zuki. That would be worth some smiles.. The 2008 Can Am 90 is full of problems that hopefully will be corrected in the 2009's. Lot's of angry parents we talked to, and especially so because the Can Am is $1200 more that the other (Japan) 90's on the market. We talked to 3 parents on the internet that got their Can Ams lemon law'd BTW.
  14. Make sure to check back how you like them and how well they work. Wife also has Elka shox, but they cost as much as the quad did. They change the ride quality 300% for the better. Probably knocked 30 lbs off the weight of the quad too.
  15. Yeah, they mounted a fan outside the window to blow in to make the curtains look Hollywood scary. Huge waypoint for M/C's heading to Laughlin or doing a Route 66 run. I'm good for about an hour there, maybe once a decade. The town is starting to get cluttered with eyesores, loosing it's character. Another teriffic M/C stop is Fox's floating bar in Parker. Covered MC parking, great food on weekends. Owner is Spencer Lowe former Nissan off road champ. He gets out his Chevy V8 boss hoss and will do burnouts from time to time:
  16. I want to see the Iraq war ended as do 72% of all americans. McCain ignors that and it's why he'll get beat. Screw the Iraqis, they can go to hell. If Obama succeeds with his agenda, all we will have is another socialist monarchy, socialized medicine, gun control, high taxes, lower incomes, new carbon taxes, nurtured mediocrity, and increased pacifism. Going to the doctor shouldn't be like going to the DMV or getting an all day long oil change at a Chevy dealer.
  17. Is it plug n play or did you have to program it?
  18. Seen quite a few of them in use. We'd love to find a cheap one. Diesel fuel and cooking oil work teriffic in them. Reminds me of the movie where they lit of thousnads of them to the move earth outta the way of a deadly approaching asteroid. I wanna see pete stand there & lite his Cigarette with it.
  19. Yep there it is. Unocal is also know as Sunnoco.
  20. Doghouse at Dumont and Crazy Kevin at Glamis to name a few we like to deal with. Their are some good vendors there. I think I read a post someplace Unleashed will be making some vendor row appearances too.
  21. Every Mustang GT we see seems to want to race(and get beat). Be careful, some of these exhibition and speed contest tickets are worse than a DUI.
