  1. Good to read. He'll be a different person when ya see him again, and for the good., Some civilian jobs may allow him to add his Army service years to his pension plan. I did and got $400 more per mo. So it's all good.
  2. A nice, quiet, relaxing day on the river: Bring the family and join us.
  3. We're dialing in a trip to Oregon sand dunes in about 5 weeks. A drunk stopped me at the bar and claims their are 5 different dunes to camp at. First I heard of that, but just to be sociable I listened. If so, where's the best place to ride? We're moteling it. Towing the super utility trailer with all the toys. Thanks for any tips and tales.
  4. Exceptionally beautiful bride.
  5. I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2 If that fails go to COSTCO, get a new tank and only have it filled, not exchanged.
  6. Nevermind. Figured it out. Ya have to get real serious on the dunes before you even start to feel the difference in adjustments. Normal cruising didn't feel any difference, but getting air and hitting it hard the adjustments started to take a little notice. Might have to tickle the spring tension a bit. The S is a very capable duner. Streets ahead of the standard Rzr.
  7. We're out on Glamis dunes, forgot the owners manual for the Rzr S. Which way do we turn the screws on the Fox piggy back shocks for a smoother ride? Thanks for the help & tips.
  8. Driving a slow car fast: Our Honda S2000: Driving a fast car slow: Our Z06.
  9. I like the service of UTV crap, but they have theee highest prices. In many cases 50% higher.
  10. I've had very bad dealings with disputes when Pay Pal was involved. The best way to buy online is with American Express. They will back you up and get your money back. Visa and Pay Pal won't. Pal Pal is owned by Google and is starting to take over online purchasing. They will soon be the Ticketmaster of web transactions and that ain't good.
  11. Pete, though it's nice to try a new place out, we stick to places we know all about and it usually takes the gamble outta the deal. Eventually you'll fall into that routine. Lawrys Prime rib is usually pretty good and we tip heavy there. If you're going to drop a C bone on dinner, Lawrys is usually a sure bet. Ya did the right thing. Ya stiffed the bastard like he stiffed you. A waiter told us at the Macaroni grill "I get tipped if I give good service or not". I just bought a Rzr S and we tipped the Polaris Dealers DMV girl a $25 ARCO gas card because she got us in and and outta the dealer in minutes. The girl at the Polaris parts dept counter was so outstanding ordering our accessories, we gave her a $50 ARCO gas card. Feels good to tip good when the service was good. We ate at the German restaurant across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel. The food and service was horrible. The people at the table next to us had the same gripes. We ALL walked out after paying the bill, no tip, and the waitress followed us out to the crosswalk to go toe to toe with me. She was furious. We kept walking back to the Hard Rock as the Rodfathers car club were waiting at the traffic lights then driving their Hot Rods across the intersection with a cacklefest and couldn't hear a word the b*tch was shouting. My wife didn't even notice her it was such a scene. I feel really good about that, and you should to the way you handled it.
  12. If I recall, it leads to the Date Ranch, then ya take the Speary Wash route into the dunes. Some of it the old Tonapah & Tidelands RR right of way. And some of it on the power line rds. Did hear once from Hallet Dave some sections may be closed,, but I never believe that until I see it. But it could be fact. The BLM office is the best place to get the real scoop. We want to put together a ride to from the dunes Crowbar restaurant/bar in Shoshone next to the Parump turn-off. Comfortable sand runners like the Rzr make the trips fun and easy. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Revi...ia.html#REVIEWS
  13. I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2 There it is. It would be so cool to be able to take the golfcart to the Grocery store on a warm day.
  14. Thanks for the takes. Kinda overkill towing in on our buggie trailer: Geezus what a complete difference over the standard Rzr. Glad I pulled the trigger.
  15. Wow what a difference compared to the standard Rzr. Night and day. Got over $1200 off MSRP and then the 60 mo Polaris warranty for almost half price. 20% off accessories so I loaded it up. It's all good with the S. More pep in the motor, the Long Travel suspension with Fox piggy back shox is plush. It's about to get a 10 day workout in Glamis. When I was in buying it several guys were in buying the Rzr S cam and pistons to install in their standard Rzr's. Evidently a BFD enough to drop the $$$. I was driving by the dealer, glanced over and saw them unloading 5 of them. So with the discount, what the hey. All 5 sold within 48 hours, waiting list for April and Mays shipments. Kinda bizarre when I bought it a big crowd of Rzr fans gathered around me. Wasn't so sure about another SxS until we drove the S at the Polaris customer ride in Gorman. The stability, ride and more power and fun-to-drive factor sold us.
  16. Took the cat in to the Vet emergency room. Why do these places attract so many lezzies? So many they were hanging from the rafters.

  18. We want to do that NY party. Looked excellent.
  19. As a kid, I lived in LV with my dad who worked at the Nevada test site. We moved to LA when he got a promotion. My first adult gambling trip to LV was with friends after we had all bought early Z28 unmarked/unbadged Camaros. The Z28 trim came in later production. Early Z28's are unmarked. Performance and suspension options were avail before the first Z28 hit the showroom floors. 800 CFM Holly and a improved cam, posi, 411 screws and an aluminum flywheel. Paid about $3400 OTD new. They were screamers. Great desert runners. Probably why I find the SB 427 LS7 so appealing in our Vette I guess. Anyway, we all drove our Camaros to LV and stayed at the Union Plaza. We walked over to the 'Shoe and met Benny Binion downstairs in the Coffee shop where he held court at a booth. My friend Steve asked Binon if he knew Jack Ruby and he said: "Yes, they were friendly competitors back in Texas." Miss the old school cheap-o 'Vegas, but if the town didn't advance into the town it is today it would'a suffered. Still love the Green felt jungle.
  20. Amazing how many people have never heard of the Dbbl Down. Lively video poker, and a really friendly musicians hangout kinda vibe. Wife hit a big jackpot recently at the dbbl down,, but doesn't remember. We're good tippers and it's appreciated there (and PT's). Tip pooling places couldn't care less how much you leave it seems. At least compaired back to when dealers & bartenders kept their own tips.
  21. The Strat. We were having a drink at one of the Strats bars and a couple told the bartender the place sucked. The bartender said their is no shortage of customers to take their place, and as long as it stays that way the owners won't improve anything. What got us was the peeling paint and moldy walls and ceiling in our room. We're spoiled by the Hard Rock and Palms I guess. Our favorites. The top of the Strat bar is excellent though. But a PITA to get to. We own a home in Summerlin and will probably move into it when the last kid finishes High School. I've always loved LV. Stayed in LA because of the much higher pay and bennies.
  22. I hope so. He has always treated me well. Talking to him he really seemed on the ball and dedicated to his customers. Banshees were 90% of his business. Maybe with the popularity of thumpers his biz has fallen on hard times.
