i know that, but all 2 strokes purchased after 2003 have been red stickered, and the newer ones, I BELIEVE, can't be registered at all to ride in CA So, all two smokes from 2003 and up, and the thumpers that didn't meet CARB certification will be outlawed people from Las Vegas that go to Dumont need to get involved with this issue too, as it could affect you

SB 742 in the brainchild of a committed anti-access legislator in the state of CA. it is very long, and I will leave a link to not take up bandwidth. if it passes, and is implemented, it will have staggering effects that will reach ALL CA riding sites. it will also impact the amount of money we have to pay to get into riding areas, and they want to charge us up to 75 bucks a year to register a green sticker bike....this senate bill is SOOOO BAD for off-roaders please call your CA legislator and beg them to vote against it when the time comes. it's long, and some parts are hard to understand, due to legal-eze but you need to read it

that was exactly the angle I was taking on that one Pete. My family was there, as well as our friends, with their daughters. they were also having some drama with their trailer on their first trip. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about boot'n idiots when they need it, and I can hold my own against anyone but a bunch of roid monkeys, and I even carry when on dune trips, because you just don't know what is going to happen, but that isn't a first class ticket to be an azzhoe yourself...

Our close friends just got their new toyhauler. For the shakedown trip, we decided to go to Pismo for the weekend. We get there, I set up camp perimeter with PVC pipe and caution tape. Not too big, just big enough for our two rigs, tow vehicles, toys, and a small kiddy track for my 4 yr old....it was roughly about quadruple the size of just our toyhaulers. we ordered pizza, had some drinks, watched the sun set........ in the middle of the night, i wake up to a turbo spoolin, a lot of cussing, and people hollaring. I step outside to see WTF is going on, and smack dab in the middle of my son's track, with broken caution tape STILL on the grill of his duramax, is this AZZCLOWN with a 36 ft raptor....and he is stuck. I go to talk to him, inform him that he is in my camp...that there is plenty of spaces further down the beach, and that I would appreciate it if he left my camp, and replace my caution tape that he tore down. "dude, unless youre gonna pull me out tonight, I'm crashin here, and I will move first thing tomorrow morning" fair enough, I said. The next morning, I am up @ 6 am, go fetch all the firewood that the daytrip people left on the beach for our own fire, and come back to camp. DAMMIT....that azzhoe has his 2 stroke blender, hooked up to a throttle on a set of moto handlebars, mixing drinks!!! :freakin_nuts: I go over to remind him that he was to leave, and that I don't aprreciate him in my camp...."dude, i've been drinking, I can't drive" I finally had to go to the ranger card, which fully got his attention. all the while him and his buddies are smoking cigarettes and throwing their butts in the sand. I told him he was littering. the fine is like 260 bucks, and that if he didn't move, I'm calling the ranger (have the # on my cell phone). I thought I was gonna get my azz beat!!! after they cussed me for awhile, they started packing up, and by about 10am, as they gave me the finger, they got pulled out and went on their merry way. I have always seen toyhauler owners as responsible people. this, due to the maintenence required on them, and not to mention the price tag too.. no wonder the anti-access crowd wants to shut us down....if people like that represent the duning community....we all have a lot of work to do

i don't give a rat's azz about that beeeeeotch, but I think it is malicious prosecution...here is why... When an illegal alien gets pulled over, they have no license. most of the time, their car isn't even impounded, they get a ticket for driving without a license, they don't show up for court.....change their name, and go about their merry way again....... but then, here is this WHITE girl, who does basically the same thing, but everybody knows where she is all the time, because she is on TV....she showed up to court......gets caught for driving without a license, and the DA, who just happens to have a latino surname, wants to put her in jail?????? where is the ACLU when a white person needs them??? no, i'm not racist

they are decent...the guys who have done all the dyno work, and have the high hp stuff for the DS is mr. hp, but i have heard they are having people reliability issues, like not returning phone calls, not shipping stuff, etc...

i am sure aceisback will chime in here too. pretty much, all the ds650 people are isolated around the country. there is mr. hp back in kentucky, on dunes somewhere in the western US, woods racing, and a couple others like pami etc check out atv connection in the can-am forum, as well as the on dunes dot com forums, as that is where the ds650 big boys hang out. they would be able to give you a wealth of information on the subject. i know ace went with a high comp piston on his son's bike... and i havent heard the end result yet...

there is also this thing quickie flush i had it installed after my second trip. makes it easy to dump the black tank. just hook the hose up to it, turn it on, and it sprays all the, um, material, yeah, that's it, material off the walls, and down the drain. makes it easier to put a few gallons it to travel, too. best 60 bucks (i had them install it too) i spent on my hauler

search RV.net...it is a method to use when draining your tanks/getting ready to go on a trip. i have been using it for 2 years, with no smells, no clogs, and makes dumping a breeze

i like to go to the dunes over holiday weekends because all the flatbillers are at home
