  1. Cat it is hard for some one to tell you what to buy, it depends on you, when we got ours the first thing we did was get every thing for the kitchen that way you wont forget things to pack (utensils, coffee maker, toaster, ) and one of the best thing to buy is a note pad so when you find some thing that you need just write it down so you have it next time. Some one in camp will have it to let you use this time. Happy camping
  2. I 2nd that, thats the best place to start and if you find that you do need more then you can get the tuner.

  6. This is not a matter of smoking or not, we have freedoms pulled away from us daily, wear your seat belt, wear a helmet, you cant own that gun, don’t talk on cell phones while driving, only cross the street at cross walks, there is a new law in New York that just past that if you own a restaurant you can not cook with saturated fats, all bad for you? Maybe? Where do we stop? If you have a problem breathing cigarettes smoke just drive down 95 from Mt Charleston look down town that brown haze you see is more deadly then ten people smoking with you in a 5 foot room but you still drive your car and make me breath it. Should I make it illegal for you to drive? Whether I smoke or not is not important to this thread if some one is bothering you with cig smoke you should be able to ask them to put it out and they should as a courtesy but that doesn’t happen any more. $.02

  10. I two would be willing to come out and clean up the road any time you guys would set it up, as for stopping and picking up trash as you drive by, As a D.O.T. employee I would not suggest this as there has been many people hit on the side of the road doing this, the best way is with lots of vehicles and warning signs, I my be able to get some of those reflective vest to help. Just let me know how I can help too.

  14. I bet that was the same a$$hole that was charging the little hill in front of comp!!! We were hanging out about that same time, next to the last row, when this jerk in a dark gray pickup almost rolled it, then decided to haul a$$ around our group, kids and all, (quads, a couple of trucks) and charge that hill again! Took off like a bat out of hell headin' for the whoops and camps! Where's Ranger Bob when you need him! The 'Mrs', again

  17. My observations of T-day weekend: 1. Pete is taller than me 2. DDR camp is a must visit when at Dumont (Thanks guys for the great welcome and Pete for the use of the BR) 3. Sobe bombs are the BOMB (better in person than on video) 4. No matter how much money I spend on my banshee I’m still always last 5. No matter how big your trailer is “sleeps 8” is still crowded 6. Someone in your camp getting hurt is a real bummer 7. The South Pole is easy to find 8. The Ice man is lonely at Dumont (loves to talk) 9. Joeduner is a quiet kinda guy 10. The ‘road’ to comp hill is VERY DARK when you are one of only two quads on the way out there
  18. that would be there last time in our camp :smoker:
  19. All in all, it was a GREAT weekend for our group, too! However, our no-injury trip record is now broken. :fatdance: My 2 daughters, an older gal (Judy) that camps with us, and myself (Mrs. dinicolada) were heading to vendor row about 11:00 Sat. morning. We were right at B-9 when I slowed to check traffic and I feel this thud to my quad. I look back to find Judy on the ground with her foot pinned under her dumped Kodiak; heavy son-of-gun quad. I jump off mine, run over and shut hers off and tried to free her leg. By that time 2 guys and a girl camping nearby were there and heaved that sucker up on 4 wheels. I sent #1 daughter back to camp to get her hubby and the four of us tended to Judy till the medics got there. Her foot was fine, she was complaining about her shoulder and arm. Within about 15 minutes I'd say, we had two medics on quads show up, then the rail with the backboard arrived, and 'bout the time they had her strapped to the backboard, the truck showed up to transport her to the aid station. (The truck had just finished transporting a broken femur patient). She couldn't move her arm, so it was decided they'd take her via ambulance to UMC so she could be x-rayed. The hubby (Steve) packed up and headed back to Vegas. Turns out the shoulder was dislocated, they popped it back in and sent her home. Judy would be the first to tell ya she was not paying attention! We were just puttin' thru at maybe 5-10 mph, but didn't realize we slowed to almost a stop when she hit #2 daughter's quad, jerked the "wheel" and hit mine on her way down. Luckily, nothin' was broken!! I got the chance to talk to one of the rangers and asked about the broken bones. He said there were A LOT but no fatalities!!! I said that was great and we chatted about the Halloween loss. I filled him in on the ultra lite pilot's condition (thanks to all the info posted here). He was pleased to hear he was O.K. Those medics are a great bunch of people and the rangers are pretty cool too, IF you don't piss them off!
  20. Hi there y'all, this is Dave's wife, Kelly. Just addin' a couple of landmarks to look for. There will be a white Ford duelly with a 32' Ragen attached; an "older" Sprinter with a plain white toy box attached to it, and at least one diesel pusher with a loooooong toy box attached to it. Hope you get a chance to cruise by!REALLY looking forward to this weekend!!! About 18 hours and counting and we'll be Dumont bound!
  21. We will be in our usual spot around B-6. Look for the big blue ford dueley and 33ft tahoe transport stop by if your around.
