Putting new grips on the Quad

First time I've put grips on the ATV.

Any tricks to make the task easier?

Do you use any adhesive ?? Anything to make it slide on easier?

One side is a Motion Pro Twist throttle BTW.

i use the air compressor with the blow gun attachment.

start the grip on as far as you can.

put the air nozzle right up to the grip and bars.

then shoot the air under the grips while you push it on.

i never have used any lube or glue. just a little water if they are real sticky.

compressed air, no glue

1. Cut the old ones off.

2. Put the new grip up to the handleber.

3. Apply compressed air to the other end of the bar. The grip will slightly inflate and you can slide it right on.

4. For the other one, just poke a very small hole in the end of the grip and do the same with the air.

Works THEE BEST over any glue.

Do youself a favor and next time get the ODI grips, the slide right on and a ring holds them in place, I use them on my YFZ

I have always used hairspray.... cut and clean the old ones off then put alot of hairspray in the new grips and slide them on.. adjust and let them sit.. dries tight tight

I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2...ODI grips are awesome, have them on all the quads.

I use dish soap if I have a hard time getting them on, never had a problem with grips staying put.

i use brakecleaner something about the chemicals in brake cleaner that starts to melt the rubber and makes its own adheasive.. but tahts just me. All the methods mentioned above work great. If you find them a little loose for your taste a wrap of safteywire and your solid

I use glue and safety wire in two spots per grip.

If they get wet any method be it glue, hairspray and espessially compressed air they will spin and slip on ya.

Ive had grips slip before and it just plain sux, since Ive been doin the glue+wire thing no more issues ever.

Oh and the renthall dual compund half waffle grips RULE
