I'm just wondering if there is anywhere in the desert around Vegas where it is legal to target practice with your guns? :MBdance: Hopefully someone here in the know can post up what the laws are. Thanks

There is a map on the Clark County site that shows legal areas. Boulder City has a real nice public range also...

D street? :B

KIDDING! :MBdance:

Open season?????? WoooHooo!~

Quicksilver:

What part of town are you in?

NW: Head up the 95 to mile marker 103. Turn right and you will see where everyone shoots.

That is where I take the wife and kids once or twice a month.

NE: Off the 15, take the 93 turn off and head north. Approx 6 or 8 miles from I15 is a dirt road on the right. Follow in appox 1/2-3/4 of a mile and you will also see where everyone shoots

The new public range is at the end of Decatur on the far north side of town.

I usually go out to an area out by sloan on the way to stateline. There are plenty of places out there that I ha e never been harrassed. Even with my long range rifle.

Oh, so your the one I have heard out here! Sitting here at work once in awhile and start hearing gun shots, don't know whether to duck or go watch.

Lamb and Bonanza one of my fav's.

Hey, I grew up in that area. :( It wasn't so bad 20 years ago.

But I definately wouldn't get caught dead in that area after dark now.

At the public range do they let you shoot any type of weapon? Out here in Boulder City they don't let you shoot the big stuff at the range. :B

Says it will house these types of shooting areas...

covered firing points, classroom area, restrooms, and shade ramadas.

-Shotgun Center: This feature contains 24 combination Trap and Skeet fields, a

5,443 square foot shotgun center with a reception area, a pro shop, shotgun

storage lockers and a cafeteria. It also features 80 full-service RV sites, a

clay target storage building, lit ranges and shade ramadas.

-Public Rifle/Pistol Center: The Public Rifle/Pistol Center offers 30 shooting

points up to 50 yards; 15 shooting points up to 200 yards; 15 points up to 100

yards, night lights, shade ramadas, concrete shooting tables, covered shooting

areas, a 3,000 square foot building with a convenience store, a reception area,

a 30 seat classroom, restrooms and a pro shop.

"they've designed an attraction that will consist of: a hunter education center, an indoor range, public day-use ranges, tactical ranges, rifle and pistol silhouette ranges, a benchrest range, a cowboy mounted shooting arena and a 1,200-yard high-power rifle range. There will be 125 trap and 24 skeet ranges as well as sporting clays for the shotgun enthusiasts. An International Archery Federation approved archery range and four field courses will be a great attraction for Archers. Its major program features include: firearms safety and education, youth safety programs, women’s training/safety programs, public shooting, and shooting competitions. It will be open to the public 12 hours a day, five days a week."
