I just read about the new HD yesterday when I was doing some GM web based training. 35,500 lb towing capacity is insane. It'll be mated to a 10 speed Allison. I'm not looking forward to working on this thing though.

Quiet weekend at little D.

At Dumont the weekend before president's weekend possible progress on cell tower workers on the hill good sign!!

Lot's of windstorms have been blowing in from the Southeast in the past year. Makes big changes on the dunes and really replenishes them.

Were headed out for the weekend looks like a little rain but that will never stop the running hope everyone has a safe trip super pumped

update! Thanks to a heads up from @raspadoo, Chad and I picked up a couple of these around Christmas time on a 4 day only sale for under $300 with a 3 year warranty and tax. Score! I ran it last trip and it worked great. It is just as quiet as the Honda.

The weather is a major factor in my plans to go. I am ready for some warm weather and dry sand!

Plan to be there if the weather holds up.

I should be there if all go well. The brother will be there and my daughter,husband and grandchild.

Hmmmm, I owe my family a desert trip. Let me crunch the numbers on this one.

Played paparazzi & met lots of new friendlys during an awesome MLK weekend in Dumont🤙Special thanks to "Skippy" for giving the kids their first ride in one bad a$$ rail and even more so, to the single BLM officer working without pay who went camp to camp just to do us a solid! Much respect guys!🇺🇸👍

Got out there Friday night late woke up to some awesome weather got the car down tires switched and had some friends show up later and the car was running great then took a trip to North Pole to check it out was cool to see a nice big group hanging out over there then headed back grilled up some lunch later that night did some s’mores for the kids Sunday did an adult only ride took out some friends that have never been to Dumont. Took them up comp in the car and a ride out to South Pole where car started to act up again. Met up with Pete and some of the other guys headed back to camp and did a temporary electrical fix so I could take the all the kids we had in camp to Comp for some fun. Had a little fun back there all in all was a good trip can’t wait till presidents weekend

Even if it was only a day trip. MAN it felt great to have my 2 wheels back in the sand

MLK weekend was great trip. Although the sand was a little damp, it was still pretty good duning conditions. We got a bunch of fun rides in and had a blast. The weather was perfect all weekend except for Sunday night. It got WINDY. Friday night smudge pot action Saturday morning, the buggy was dialed in and ready to rip! Group run Saturday night we headed up to Sunset Hill Then back at camp we streamed the hockey game and Supercross to the projector. Sunday morning we had quite an epic run going until I found out my rear hub bearings decided to go south. We stopped out near the south end and hung out for a bit and then I limped it back to camp. Luckily I brought my dirtbike. When the buggy is down, it's always good to have a backup ride. The skies that night were full of color. That night our friends, Steve & Becky, cooked up amazing dutch oven feast. We grubbed and celebrated Steve's 60th birthday. They had lots of good dune stories from back in the day. Later in the night, we sat out in the dark taking pics of the eclipse and listening to space themed songs on Spotify. haha It was pretty damn cool! I grabbed a handful of moon pics and put them into a sequence photo collage. It was a perfect cap to the night and badass weekend.

So @dunefreak I figured out the issue with my bike and why I couldn't turn worth a sh*t! Checking everything. Bearings, brakes, bar position and just a full once over. Pulled the front wheel off and went why was I able to squeeze that tire so easy. Ahhhhh fk I never checked the front tire air pressure. Checked the rear but straight up forgot the front. Was rolling on a flat front all day like a n00b!!!!! Dee Dee deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
