  1. Some Pix... Look how empty it was! My wife taking the buggy for a putt with the hound... The gang at the North Pole Pretty sunset on Sunday night, before the rain moved in My girls at Little Dumont Pulled this guy off the hills by camp. Brand-new car, 800-hp twin-turbo, buried it and blew reverse (out of a Fortin... that's gonna hurt!)
  2. Too bad, the weather was epic and there was nooooobody there. Even the rain held off until overnight Sunday into Monday, just enough to tamp the dust down a bit. I'll post pix up in a few, when I get the camera out of the trailer. BTW, To the guy who lost a stub axle on the hill above #10 @ 3pm on Monday: Sorry dude, I saw you stuck there as we were rolling out. Hope you got it out, there wasn't a lot of help there to be had.
  3. Nothing from the San Bernardino Coroner, there were two fatalities on T-day but both were in SW SBDO county... one a traffic collision and the other a pedestrian hit & run. Unless it was a natural-causes death, and no coroner callout was made, it'd be on their website, so...
  4. Sigh... my favorite 'Vette body style... trade you a tweenager? Good luck on the sale, if I hit the lotto you'll be the second person to know.
  5. As long as they match... Nice job guys, I like the new look. Very fast too.
  6. Coming up on five years quit for me. Hardest thing I've ever done. Best of luck to you, it's soooooooo worth it in the end.
  7. "I said DART gun!" Saw that with my daughter a couple weeks ago (2D), laughed my off.
  8. It's called "fair use," and it's been a principle of copyright law for centuries. There's a good primer on Wikipedia. Bottom line, it's probably best practice to c&p a relevant paragraph (with attribution) and link to the entire article....
  9. Yes. You're getting more air into the motor (new airbox) and allowing exhaust to escape more efficiently (new pipe), all of which adds up to a very lean condition. You'll burn the piston if you don't rejet.
  10. IIRC a 002 uses a standard type-1 starter. The throw won't be long enough for an 091 bellhousing. You can, however, put a 002 bellhousing on an 091 tranny.
  11. Two thoughts... one, is the tank (or cap) vented? If not, the vacuum created in the tank by fuel burn could (theoretically) starve the pump momentarily... or at the least cause cavitation (pumping air and liquid). Two, if the condition always occurs when the pickup side is (or recently has been) elevated, then you may have your answer. My buggy has a very cramped engine compartment, I'm using a 8"x32" spun-aluminum tank in mine without a sump. But, I'm feeding the pump with -8 AN fuel line which draws from the bottom center of the tank... So far no problems (other than chitty range ).
  12. Uhhhhhhh dude that's my car in your pic @ Comp Red frame 4-seater with the big checkered flag. The 2 RZRs and the quads were with me too. That's my friend's son Travis going up Comp on the Z400 with the American flag. We were out Thu-Sun. Little hot on Friday, Sat was awesome. Today wasn't bad either.
  13. And 1000-hp twin-turbo V8 sandrails are practical? Since when has this sport EVER been about practicality? Next I want to see a RZR with a JATO motor in it
  14. There's a house near mine that painted his garage door to look like it was open... and full of crap. I've never seen it open so I don't know if it's accurate.
  15. Nice job : I hope their legs hurt today.
  16. I heard a rumor over President's weekend that CW might be in financial trouble... store closings/BK/??? I hate shopping there, seems like they're awfully proud of their stuff (judging by the prices they charge), but sometimes having the convenience of a "one-stop-shop" makes up for it. Sometimes. :ahhhhh:
  17. Link to Friday night's story on Fox-11 (LA)... clicky Keep them peepers peeled, folks... that trailer is out there somewhere.
  18. Link to topic on GD.com Please keep your eyes open... not my gear, but this sucks for all of us.
