  1. We'll just be gettin started around 10!
  2. Anyone else coming out tonight? Can't wait, myself. Should be a blast.
  3. You are in the right thread, anarchist. Very nice ride. Props to you for being able to all your own fab work. Wish I was able to do mine.
  4. I don't think so, ISBB. SandYFZ used to have a YZ426 and we were almost the same up comp. He'd get me by about a half bike or so sometimes. The 426 DOES have the torque to turn a 10 cup. Hell my 250 will turn a 10 cup and go everywhere, but not as good as an 8 cup. You are right about the 8 cup spinning it more. That is what you want though. Paddles work best when there is tire spin. It keeps you on top of the sand rather than just digging down. Too much wheel spin (for instance if you put a 6 cup paddle on) would hurt it. It's trying to find the right amount of tire spin to get the bike dialed in for bect traction AND floatation on the sand. Tony, I personally think your bike would be slower w/ a 10 cup. Stick w/ the 8.
  5. Last night I got my car stripped down to get ready to be fixed. I took off the whole front end and then got sick to my stomach after having to WIRE WHEEL the powder coat off. I also got him to fill in some holes from some previous crap (who knows) where there were 2 bolts in the frame. He did an awesome job. Can't even tell there were holes there.... I figured what the hell, I have to get a bunch of other spots touched up already, why not fill that them in. The cracks were tig welded then gussetted with steel plates to make sure this doesn't happen again. They came out pretty nice. Now not only having added support, there are 2 more spots for some more driving lights too. Now to get the paint guy to try and match the powder coat as best as possible. Shouldn't be TOO bad when it's all said and done, but I think after this season I might strip the car down to the bare frame, do some more mods, and then have the frame completely re-powercoated. The car should be like brand new then. Oh and BTW, Josey informed me that my frame isn't chromolly, it's mild steel. Shows you how much I know.
  6. :headbang: I've seen that video before. That chit can't be real! :headbang:
  7. I don't think a 426 will turn a 10 cup. It will, but you'll get more pull & speed out of the 8 cup. The 10 cup will make you wheelie the hell out of the bike. Like Don said, the 10 cup paddle tires are for even bigger cc engines than you've got. Hope this helps. :headbang:
  8. I love those jumps at Coral.... :headbang:
  9. Don, you're bored as hell aren't you? :headbang:

  11. eeehhhh? I'm confused, ISBB. You've got 125 grand in your pocket? Or did you buy a 40K car? WTF you talkin bout Willis? I don't know if you saw the pics, but I see every bit of 125K in that car. (or close to 125K I guess) Just my .02 B)
  12. :headbang: ah we're all guilty of it from time to time. :headbang:
  13. FREAKS Christmas party?????? :headbang: You talkin about Freaks of Nature car club? Chris, your still in one of those? :headbang:
  14. So after unloading my rail from the toyhauler last weekend, I found a few small cracks in my frame in the front end. It must have been from when we slammed into that witches eye (giant hole) behind the superbowl. We hit pretty hard, but we didn't get slammed too hard and everything seemed ok so we just kept driving. The cracks are in 2 tubes and some welds across the front end. The worst part about this now is the fact that I am gonna have a huge eye-sore on the front end. I know a pretty good touch-up painter that might be able to match it pretty close, but it will be hard being power-coated and all. Oh well, can't have something nice forever if ya wanna play hard. :monkeedance2: I am extremely impressed with the car so far. I have literally beat the crap out of the car driving it HARD for a little over a year now and no major problems at all. I gotta hand it to Larry Short (and Josie/ Sick Sand Travel). They can def. put together a sweet car. Speaking of Josey. He is gonna hook up the repairs on the car this weekend. He said if I bring the car in Sat AM with no suspension on the car, he can V notch, tig weld, plate, gusset, etc and take care of whatever needs to be done. Here are some pics of it on the trailer tonight before I rip the front end off for Saturday. The pics show the spots of the cracks.
  15. :monkeedance2: DAAAAAYYYYYYUUUMMMMM!!

  21. I'll tell you what degrades a Rhino- flashy paint jobs and stereos!!! OR, not putting stuff in the bed of it for it's original purpose (hint hint Kenny) J/K Kenny, your sh*t looks nice, but I would have to wheel the hell out of that thing and USE it. Basically I would beat it up and use it like my Grizzly. :monkeedance2:
