I never had logged onto any forums untill I saw an ad for DDR when I was browsing through Duneguide.com last year. I have now added my self to a couple other sites and check them out every once in awhile when I'm bored. There is no better site than DDR.com. This is my homepage and I check out just about every thread there is everyday. The peeps here have fun and that is what it is all about. I have found no better entertainment on the web than what gets posted here. It really feels like a close group of friends here rather than just a place where you can anonomously (sp?) speak your mind or write whatever you want and not worry about people knowing who you really are. Look at how many showed up for the night drags this year. These are people we have only met through the keyboard yet we are willing to drive for up to 4 hours for some for one night of fun with more or less complete strangers. Awsome! I love DDR because I dont have reliable friends who I can count on to drive for 3 hours to go camping and duning with me. I have been able to stroll up to complete strangers and ask if I can park and camp with them and I had one of the best times I've ever had with those people. Dunefreak, ISBB and all of the Admins have worked thier azzes off to keep this great site running. DDR is not just a website but a community.

As much as I dont like polititians, I can't place all of the blame on them. I mean, were you thinking of where we are today 5 years ago? I'm sure they weren't. Everyone was living good, making and spending expendable money. I say sue the crap out of the people at the banks who approved of these bad loans. They were too busy making a buck for themselves rather than follow the general guidelines of approving loans. They didn't care if they issued a loan to a homebuyer where they knew if the rates went up the homebuyer wouldn't be able to make the payment. That's just plain irresponsibility. The loan officers made money before this fiasco and I think they should be the ones to give some of it back to help fix what they caused. By the way, this statement is in no way intended to offend any loan officers or those of you who manage banks as long as you are running your business in an ethical manner.

So I try not to get too political other than determinig who I am going to vote for (Turd Sandwich or Douchebag ) I am really pissed about this plan our fantastic gov't came up with to supposedly help "The People" in this economic "downturn". They want to print $1 trillion from scratch to buy out bad mortgages that the idiot banks approved. Yeah, that's a great idea for a U.S. dollar that is already way too weak, just flood the economy with more money that you cant back up. Look what happened to Germany after WW II and Iraq when the banks were looted and cash flooded the economy, It took a wheelbarrow full of cash to buy a loaf of bread. I'm no ecnomist but this is the stupidest plan I have ever heard of. You know what, let the banks fail, its thier own damn fault for approving these bad loans. I'm all for the gov't helping out failing businesses to have some control over the economy, but these are large corporations that got greedy and ran thier own companies and our national economy into the dirt, oh well, too bad for you Mr. Big Bank. There are people who just sit around and think all day long about anything and everything and get paid for it, can't these people figure out a better way to help the economy? This is such a bad idea and we are all going to be paying for other peoples greed for the entire next generation. :rant_on:

Auto dealers are dropping like flies here in so cal. My brother lost his job about 6 months ago and has applied with at least 5 dealerships that have closed down in the same amount of time. It seems to be mostly Ford dealers but it could just seem that way because that's where he has worked for the past 20 years. He finally got a job at Chevy dealer in Fullerton, just not very busy there though.

I picked up the Quicksand 5 dvd and it's just ok, nothin special or exciting. There is still no video better than "Pegged", best boating video ever.
