  1. How many people will get it and the symptoms won't be bad enough to go get checked out? Its here.
  2. This is some scary schit. So far the disease seems to be affecting people of Mexican decent the worst, but no one is sure why. Many people have only reported a scratchy throat and have recovered just fine. The child that died in Texas was Mexican. So where can I buy some quality masks while they are still available?
  3. The first US fatality has been reported: a 23 month old child in Texas. Supposedly this new strain is related to the H1N1 strain that killed millions in 1918.
  4. Are you guys going in the back way through Cane Beds, UT? I'm just wondering what the condition of the road is?
  5. Was it ever determined who was at fault for the wreck? The kids on the quads could have been at fault and the parents of the LT rail still get the bad rep here.
  6. Just a question for you guys. What kind of registration tag do I need on my quads up there? One of my bikes has a California green sticker on it, but will I be OK with a CA non-resident sticker for the other bikes?
  7. Even better. I was driving a "company truck" which happens to be a tractor trailer. But now I have resorted to driving the truck to work everyday instead of my small car. I don't feel safe driving in this crappy town anymore. At least with the truck I have a better chance of surviving an accident. Well, the douchebag fought with the cops and gave one of them a bloody nose.
  8. If its your first trip BE VERY CAREFUL. There are lots of drop offs up there that you cannot see. A friend of mine rode off a 60' dune a couple years back and he is a seasoned rider. We'll be in the campground in space 4 with a Rage'N toyhauler but may be hanging out with the neighbors since a few of our friends will be out there with their families. I'm sure the liquor and beer will be flowing at our place as well. BTW, we don't have a DDR sticker yet. We do have a GLAMIS sticker though.
  9. "shave my azz?" :?: I know...my cell phone pics suck. My old Motorola cell phone took clearer pics. This LG Camera sucks balls.
  10. We'll be staying in the campground.
  11. It was a '93 Pontiac Bonneville. Hopefully he gets deportation when he gets out of prison. His car cut up the tires and most likely bent the wheels. There was some body damage to the trailer as well. I'm just happy it was a company truck and not my own personal vehicle. I don't think my daily driver would have held up so well.
  12. Yeah, I guess I'm lucky the guy got caught. You hear about hit and runs all the time on the radio but I think they usually get away. I'm thankful a co-worker and another car witnessed the accident and tailed the guy until he stopped. Here's a pic of the guy's car. Yes, the front end is gone and it is dragging the right rear wheel. He was spinning in reverse when he hit me.
  13. For the second time in four years I've gotten hit by a drunk driver. Lucky for me both occasions I was driving a big rig, so I made it out OK. The guy was was going way to fast, tried to pass a car on the right and lost control. He spun out and came over the island and struck my trailer. The real kicker is that he fled the scene in his wiped out car but was chased down by witnesses to the accident. He didn't get too far and parked in a business two blocks down the street. The police showed up and of course he failed the sobriety test. He then proceeded to try to fight the three officers there but they took care of business. Turns out the guy had no insurance, no license and the car was not registered to him. Oh yeah, I'm thinking the guy is here illegally too. Hopefully he gets deported after he gets out of prison in ten years. I give LVMPD big props for how they handled this situation. They had units out quick and a helicopter was out in minutes. I wish they woulda let me get some free hits on this douchebag though.
  14. That's the same weekend we're going....May1-3.
  15. I have a couple ideas: 1. Take the lug wrench away from your little brother. 2. Don't let your Ex work on your quad. 3. Any more?
  16. I used to have to worry about having to charge my batteries before every trip out until I put a solar panel on the roof of my toy hauler. For around $75 at Camping World (or some auto parts stores) you can get a small panel that trickle charges your batteries. Mounting and hook-up are really easy. Now everytime I go out to the trailer I know the batteries are fully topped off and ready to go. Its the best $75 I ever spent. I'm guessing your generator problems are battery related.
  17. I've had a plastic gas tank crack before. It was in my old 78 Dodge van to be exact.
  18. I got the tank back yesterday. I had Affordable Radiator do the repair on it. Superior Radiator said he could fix it too but he didn't have the welder set up in his shop yet, so he'd be sending the welding out to another shop. Yes, I did post over at GD.com. It was ISBB's idea that I should post over here. All this drama is his fault. I'm going to put the fuel pump back on the tank where it was and I will be bracing it so the weight of the pump isn't all on the bung that it screws into. It was a half-assed setup to begin with and IMO that was why it broke. But I can make it right with some redneck-engineering.
  19. The three times I was up at your shop no one was on site to show me what you wanted to do to repair the tank that was worth $275. Yet I brought it back to you to repair and now you won't touch it because I said the price "seems a little high." I said nothing else nor did I badmouth your business. I'll be down to pick my tank up as I've already found another shop to repair it. Its your loss. I haven't posted over at rv.net. But I will take a look over there to see what they've done on their tank. I've got another tank set up in the toyhauler to run the genny that I put in for my trip last weekend. It worked just fine. I might do away with the fuel station altogether because we never used it.
  20. The tank cracked right around where the fuel pump mounts on the top of the tank. I'm trying to find a shop that can fix it right for a decent price. Motor Mission in Las Vegas wanted $275 to do the job, which seems a little high. Here's a couple pics of the damage:
  21. I have always wanted to tour through Carrol Shelby's automobile factory out at LVMS. http://www.shelbyautos.com/ A flight through the Grand Canyon would be cool. Death Valley isn't too much of a drive from Vegas. Rhyolite is a good stop on the way to Death Valley or back. Just be sure to hit the Death Valley Candy and Nut Store in Beatty. That place is awesome.
  22. The Dodges are fine if you get the 5.9 diesel. Don't touch the 6.7 Cummins as they have too many problems.
  23. Do inmates still get to make license plates? If so, I want OJ to make my personalized plate that says OJDIDIT. :B
  24. I'm not voting for Obama either. I can't bear to think of the damage that could be done to this country with Pelosi, Reid, and Obama getting to do whatever they want. The economy may be in a slump right now but a knee-jerk reaction into socialism isn't the right answer. We have been through recessions before and the economy always comes back around. This one will be no different.
  25. I'm going! We will be leaving Vegas Saturday.
