If someone with a flatbed is up for a Saturday day trip I'm up to split costs. If not then I'm out as I have a 3 day trip planned for Presidents Weekend.

We got out there Friday morning and made some runs. There were still some untracked lines and some fast runs but a lot of sharp razors and drop offs. Got up early Saturday and went over to Mike (Marble MD) camp to get the doors I ordered from him. Not only did he bring them to the dunes but he said lets put them on and proceeded to get the tools out and we installed them. Above and beyond customer service to say the least ! Thanks again Mike. The doors are awesome and work perfect. I met Rap Rider and Sandchick while I was there. Nice meeting you guys. After the install I went back to camp and grabbed some people in my group for some duning. We got in some good riding and chilled at the fire Saturday night. We got up Sunday, had breakfast and started loading up as my girlfriends daughter and her boyfriend had stuff they had to do and they came out with us. Overall another great weekend at Dumont with friends and family.

Friday morning thru Sunday late afternoon for us. I can't wait.

I'm trying to scrounge up a flatbed to haul the RZR out for a Saturday day trip. If not I'm still hitting it up the following weekend for 3 days of MLK weekend. Hope to see some peeps out there.

I would like to see them busting the fools that race through camp areas with reckless abandon. I actually came out of my hauler and had a dirt bike track dead through the middle of my camp, about 10 feet from my trailer. I have been hit up for my pass and got asked about my sticker this weekend. I keep my stuff legal so no worries. They headed right out and I didn't feel harrassed at all. Sometimes we have bottles instead of cans in camp around the fire. If we were to get dinged for that I personally would accept it because the rule says no bottles. The unfortunate truth is there seems to be more people that do as they please with no regard for others and thats why they need to let their prescence be known. I think the place would be a dump with a whole lot more accidents without them there.

Rolled in Friday night at about 9. The wind was so bad we got everything out of the hauler and stayed inside for the rest of the night. Headed out around 8 the next morning for a ride. The dunes were smoothed out from last weekend. a lot of sharp razors and a ton of changes from T-day. It was overcast all day and made for a challenging time reading the sand all day. Headed over to meet up with Green Monster ( Eric ) and CharlesuFarley (Mike). They were out so we went back to camp and took the quad out for the first time in a year. Went back to camp to relax for a few when Mike showed up for a run. Eric was at the peak just to the right of the superbowl. We headed up and had a meet and greet at the top of the hill. They were cool peeps and their crew were cool too. We did a fun run on the Banshee side of the dunes and ended up running back over and playing on the face side of the comp side of the dunes. I didn't do too bad considering I'm still feeling the XP out. They got to running around doing jumps and I took some pics. We split to our camp to get some dinner ready and chill. We called it a day early but were awakened by the sound of a quad starting outside the hauler. I jumped up and turned all the outside lights on since we were all alone and my quad was the only one for about a quarter mile. I thought maybe the tweakers were running around looking for bartering goods. It turned out one of the Canadians (Will) from Eric and Mikes camp had gotten loose and was making rounds ! Lol. We went back to sleep and woke to another round of crazy winds. Kicked around and loaded up to hea home. Those of you heading out next weekend should have some good sand to play in. It was good to meet you Green Machine and CharlesuFarley. Overall another good trip to Dumont.

We will be pulling in Friday night around bathroom 6. I would be happy to kind of show you around a little bit in the RZR if you would like.

Good call Terry. I didn't get any takers( I will give the meet time more thought next time ! ). I still got to clean up a bunch of trash, one camp left everything including broken bottles and the biggest twisted easy up I have ever seen. It took two trips to get it all. One for the trash and one to get the worlds largest easy up. I wish it wasn't that way but it is what it is. We did have a great weekend and went on Neil Rideouts group ride so it makes it all come full circle. Its a small giveback in my eyes.

The reality is there are scumbags out there. They are who they are and we cant change them. I propse this to all of you complaining. Meet up at comp Sunday at 8 am. Side by sides and rails hang a trashbag off your rollcage or hold it out so people can see it. Line up a quad or two to take a line through the dunes. They stop at trash and the rzr or rail pulls up with the bag. We can do a group ride and clean up what we come across. Its better than nothing. i will be there with my trash bag out !

If anyone is in the market for a fire pit, buy/low used appliances @ boulder and trop has a bunch of old washing machine tubs for $20 a piece. I picked up a nice sized stainless tub from them a few weeks ago.

On the homepage at the top click Dumont info, when it loads look to the right click on maps. Bada bing, the best map on the web for the Dumont area, grids included !

^^^Paul, were you in the group of many quads and a couple of rails led by a beam car ? I saw this group on the backside of the dunes on a group ride. On Saturday the same beam car was leading and it crapped out. You guys stopped, beam car limped out and you took the lead. You high centered at a huge peak. It looked like you were stuck. It took a few minutes but there was a blast of sand and you were gone. Awesome. I thought that person was a$$ out as I had seen multiple people stuck there but the rail I thought was you handled that! Fun to watch !

Wow ! Congratulations Skyz on your new family addition. The sentiment expressed in you post was very touching. I'm a dog person myself and know the feeling. Good job Dan and family for saving her. DDR and its peeps rock !

I was wondering if anyone has information on who is going to be on vendors row Halloween weekend ? Vendors post up !

Might head out for a day trip Saturday to get some seat time in the new RZR before the Halloween weekend.

Just looking for some opinions from experienced SxS owners on a good setup for Dumont. Any help is greatly appreciated.
