i was thinkin the same thing don about the potluck. duning vegas style with a buffet everytrip out. that was a great way for everyone to get together instead of all going in our own little place to eat. i believe that will be the norm from now on. wanted to say goodby but you must have left when i went on my last ride. good seein you again, along with everyone else. its fun meeting new friends. cant believe after almost seven years of working around ken aside from a few hi's never really met. good hangin out with you ken. also cmyfirepole and his wife. [ sorry wife, i forgot your name already ] lets see, who else, i have a sh*tty memory, smurf, scott, dave, cant foget the other two hermanos, oh hell! everbody that was there! fun times except my kid burning up my banshee motor first time on it. i said keep the motor revving but he took it it to the extreme. damn it!

like any engine thats getting down to the nitty gritty. only way to see the differance would be a time slip. getting that little extra. probably wouldnt notice anything duning. just my opinion. oh ya. on petes motor its no simple task adjusting the valves.

we are planning on coming. havn't been out since new years.

what sucks is its my grandaughter. im trying to get kids out of the house and they come back with an extra one. :smiley:

my pos pace arrow has great pressure. even taking a shower.

i have a tecmate, synchromate 2 if you want to borrow it. i havn't used it yet but its like new. got it off ebay a while back. was going to use it on my banshee but havn't gotten around to trying it out.

i should be there sunday with a cooler of beer. we sit by the start tree.

my banshee may not be the fastest but is plenty fast for me. especialy when im drinking. its way faster than my judgment.

im with these guys. nothing.

i cant go saturday but am planning on going sunday. went last year and it was pretty cool. some badass quads run out there. im bringing a cooler of beer. :hug:

ya, i forgot about the kiddie tracks. those are a killer. a few years ago my daughter was riding across the flats after most everyone had left and her boyfriend was way behind on my warrior trying to catch up and he hit one of those and went flying a mile in the air. only a sprained wrist and bent handle bar but could have been alot worse. it sure looked nasty.

ha ha. didn't snap to that. i guess those would be start times. would like to find out what happened. the problem with that whole class is for what it cost to buy a rhino and get it to survive a race is that you can build a 9 car or just run sportsman or in the case of snore with the new champ car class build a car alot less than the cost of a rhino.

have you been there before? kind of a hassle going to a place on the strip.

looking at the times they were right on top of each other. must have run out of time.

i know they have problems with the belt burning up under extreme use like a race.

how many raced that weekend and were they part of the regular race course with the others or did they have thier own course?

believe me. this wasn't meant to be anti kid here. hell, i have a 1 year old grandaughter now and she has been to the dunes twice already. but she is never going to play near a finger dune or anywhere else people normaly ride.

man! the whole point here is simply dont mark off areas normaly ridden on. the only thing here about riding through camp is when part of the finger is considered a camp which is wrong. ever heard of an easement? everyone should be able to cross over without worrying about someones camp. even on big weekends there is plenty of room to camp away from all the chaos if you dont want to be near it. just makes for a longer ride to the dunes.

guess im not done. i disagree. we have always blasted down the fingers because it is part of the riding experiance. no kids should be playing near them and camping shouldnt be right up to the edge. thats just my opinion. thats why i started this thread because it pisses me off to see flags and tape running up the sides of the fingers. if the kids want to play on the dunes, pick a nice off weekend when hardly anyone is there to avoid an accident. there is a time and place for everything.

well i hope everyone has fun. my godamn boss penciled me in for an aluminum welding class in california all weekend. didn't have a say in the matter. work sucks.
