flame away biotches Dumpsters work at pismo beach, and there are far more people that go there throughout the year than do dumont ( i typed do dumont ) I think if they are placed strategically, like next to the ranger station, and the rangers could ticket people who abuse the dumpster (sir, you stand accused of dumpster abuse ), and make sure there are enough dumpsters to last a big weekend, then ok it cut down on the trash at pismo, and I think, with a little planning, it would cut down on the trash at dumont too!!! some of you will argue that the fees will go up 20 bucks for 7 days worth of recreating??? or 60 bucks for a year??????? you are already getting away with murder Pismo costs 5 dollars a day for day use, and 10 bucks a day to camp overnight.

since it is a govt entity, would the same letter, sent by different people make a big impact???

I tried lettingthe air out, and I popped 2 tires off the bead my bolt pattern is 3 on 90, which is the same as the old raptor 80 rear wheel hubs. I borrowed a set of stock raptor 80 wheels, and other than needing extenders, they looked like they would work sup chad???

hey bound4drt I have a 90 chinese model that came with the 145/70/6 tires on them. they don't do so well in the sand. do you know of any wheel/tire combo, not sand specific, that I could run, that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

thanks for the info...that just shows you how jacked up the state of CA is. I am quite sure it would be cheaper for WW to move to vegas, and start building there!!!

and I will say it again there are people out there that have NO BUSINESS having children.!!!!!!! The things I would do to these thieves, If I knew I could get away with it :shoot: :shoot: :shoot: :shoot: -
yeah that is where I got my skat trak extremes for my DS a couple years ago. As far as sand tires for the ranger, looking at the rhino pages, there are different camps as far as what sand tire to use, depending on the variables in the setup of the machine long travel, 686 kits, blah blah blah...pretty soon, you have as much as a rail would have cost you sunk into a side by side. I think I will stick with stock for now, as this IS my wife's primary dune mover, and my play toy when she is doing other things (like going into vegas coach store1!!! lol)

over on the prc forum, there are guys converting the 700 to an 800, and saying the power increase is phenominal for only 100 CC I gained 4 mph by just putting 5/8 in tubing on the throttle cable roller!!! lol

Got a Ram 2500 - ready for a toyhauler

one cool thing about the toy haulers and loading, is that if you have weight behind the axles, you can offset that by adding water into your tanks, as long as it isn't more weight than the amount of water you can hold. -

my trailer is only 19 ft long. I have seen trailers, 30 foot+ whipping around, but alot more than the wind was responsible for it. the biggest problem with uncontrollability is the wheelbase of the tow vehicle. the shorter it is, the harder to keep the trailer in check. I saw an H2 towing a WW FSW32, and what looked to be an extra 2 feet added. not only was the H2 taxed, suspension-wise in the rear, but the short wheel base was allowing the trailer to control the tow vehicle, which isn't the optimal situation with your truck though, and the 2500 suspension, you havethe wheel base to go 30 ft + as far as living in a cul-de-sac.....you could always back up into the culdesac from the cross street!!! -
I kinda figured when cannondale first started making mc's and quads, that it wouldn't last. it was a noble idea, but to cross over from no motor, to motorized vehicles is a tall step, better to be taken in two or three steps. that being said, the cannondale cannibal, when running correctly, which was hardly ever, would kick some serious tail.

I have a tag (tow behind). the only downside about 5th wheels, unless you spend the extra money and get a really good hitch, is that you can't use your bed for anything, because the hitch rails, on the less expensive models of hitches, remain in your bed. My neighbor tows a 5ver with the same truck I have (I don't know what it is, but my entire neighborhood rolls d-maxes!!!), which is a short bed, and never had an issue with the hitch, or the trailer. he also has a hitch that allows him to leave the hitch on the trailer pin, with no frame rails left in his truck. there are also other 5th wheel hitches that, when removed, allow use of your bed. you can still do a 5th wheel in your bed, but it would have to be a slider hitch. just my .02 -
tell me about that pete. I saw a 2002 for sale here locally, and asked when it was bought, the guy wouldnt tell me.. the freekin thing had a build date of dec of 2000 on the inside of one of the cabinets!!!

cool, no towing with a half ton!!! now you can go big with the trailer NICE!!!!!! can I offer some advice??? in case you want to add toys later on, like a mini rail, or a side by side, or even anothe quad, get PLENTY of cargo space!!! that is one thing you can NEVER have enough of in a toy hauler my neighbor has a alfa toyhouse, and expanded his toy collection, and is now looking to knock out the garage wall, to gain another 9 inches!!! toyhoalso the front sleepers offer you the option of being on the road, and sleeping in the front bedroom, whereas mine, I can only travel a day to my destinations, or sleep in a motel along the way front sleepers rock!!!, but the downside is they don't offer the most cargo room, unless you look at a 30 ft front sleepr -
call me a tardo, but is that a supercharger??? what kind of quad???

Thanks for posting that, Pete The TRT met yesterday and here is a brief rundown of what happened. 1) Rules; The TRT heard from the BLMs chief Ranger that there is a problem with people setting up camps in the area on the way to and at competition hill. We were told that the BLM will be looking at a supplemental rule to prohibit this. We also revisited the use of metal and wood stakes to mark off areas and asked the BLM to include this in any new rules. does this also include the finger dunes??? No staking off at all??? 2) Use and Statistics; The Halloween crowd was estimated at 15,000 with 2 fatalities, the CHP is the lead investigators and the BLM does not typically get any info back from them. The Thanksgiving crowd was estimated at 20,000 with 6 DUI arrests with one of those being a felony, no fatalities at the dunes, 2 fly-outs and 27 medical responses with half of those being transported by ground. 20,000 and no fatalities??? good job people 3) FoDD Tri-fold; I passed out a copy of the trifold to everyone there and the response was very positive and the group felt that it was a great job. Updates; Creek Crossing - On hold till summer yeah, cause it's better to build a bigger crossing in 118 degree heat HR549 - Stalled in committee unlikely to make the calender this session look for it next year. what is this bill??? User Fee Increase - put off till next meeting when OHMVR funding will be final. what is the proposed increase??? OHMVR Funding - We went over the proposed grant funding, the only place Barstow took a hit was Law Enforcement. El Mirage Water Trucks - FoEl Mirage gave 2 water trucks to the Barstow office with the stipulation that they are to be kept busy. They were in use over last weekend at Dumont Dunes and did a great job of controlling the dust on the road in and Vendor Row. FoDD Cleanup - The Cleanup is scheduled for March 17th. FoDD MOU - I have not seen one so I cannot comment on this.what is MOU??? Budget for Dumont Dunes - Put off till next meeting. 4) Member Items; Roxie brought up an e-mail that she had received from a person in Inyo County talking about the problem of people dumping or loosing bags of trash along 127 from Dumont Road to Tacopa and beyond. She said that this is not the first time she has had to deal with this problem, and she is under increasing pressure to provide trash dumpsters at Dumont. The majority of the people in attendance said that they were against it. why are people against having trash dumpsters @ dumont??? They have them at pismo, and it is no big deal to dump your trash on the way out of the recreation area The next meeting is scheduled for March 6th 10:00 am at the Barstow BLM office.

Dont waste your time when injured.....

we have the same problem here in Bako....Doctors here can't diagnose a cold, so it isn't uncommon to drive to Santa Barbara, or UCLA medical center for a 2nd opinion...
