RIVERSIDE, Calif., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fleetwood RV, a leading producer of recreational vehicles, today announced its success at RVIA's 44th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY. New products and floor plans drove a record amount of traffic into Fleetwood's display, resulting in positive sales numbers and increased dealer prospects. "This year's Louisville show was a tremendous success for Fleetwood. Our folding trailer and travel trailer divisions met their sales goals, while our travel trailer division added 45 new dealer distribution points and our motor home orders were up over 37% from last year," said Chris Braun, Executive Vice President of Fleetwood's RV Group. "In addition, we introduced several new floor plans, which were well-received by our dealers who were upbeat and enthusiastic about Fleetwood's renewed focus and the years to come." Fleetwood's Louisville product display highlights included: * Fleetwood Folding Trailers launched its first 12-foot Highlander series folding trailer model with a total weight of 2800 pounds for easy towing by smaller vehicles. The Destiny Sedona folding trailer model with a refrigerator also made its debut in Louisville. * Fleetwood's Ultimate Extreme Line, or F.U.E.L., toy hauler brands (RedLine, Nitrous and GearBox) continue to be extremely well received by dealers. Dealers like the product segmentation Fleetwood has established with RedLine as the value leader (low price), Nitrous HyperLite as the lightweight offering, and GearBox as its high-end, full-featured product. The new GearBox 290SA "side aisle" and RedLine 375FSG "garage" floor plans are also proving to be popular additions to the F.U.E.L. family. * Pegasus and Orbit were completely redesigned for 2007 and have received very positive dealer feedback. In addition to the recently expanded line up (featuring 21 floor plans), the higher level LE trim series boasts more than 20 all-new features, including an aerodynamic front fiberglass cap. * Fleetwood's motor home division launched its new value-priced Class C motor homes, Tioga Ranger and Jamboree Sport. The debut of these new products also marks Fleetwood's first appearance in the entry-level Class C marketplace. Tioga Ranger and Jamboree Sport were well received by dealers and accounted for 18% of all motor home orders taken at the show. * The front kitchen floor plan on the Discovery and the first-ever 42-foot Revolution LE also made positive debuts in Louisville. * The must-see product in Fleetwood's display this year was the 2007 I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - I have nothing worth adding to this post!! - x2, a Class A gas motor home with full-body paint, optional 8000-lb. towing capacity, and cool toy hauler interior decors that are loaded with tons of audio/visual and lifestyle options and features.

Wednesday, November 22, 2006 By JONATHAN SHIKES The Press-Enterprise Inland Southern California is home to nearly a dozen RV makers. National RV, with 1,000 employees, and Weekend Warrior, with 1,500, are two of the largest. In a move symbolizing the recent decline of one Inland RV maker and the rise of another, National RV Holdings will sell its 50-acre Perris compound to Weekend Warrior Holdings and plans to lease back the property as a tenant. The $33.5 million deal, scheduled to close Dec. 21, will allow National RV to lease the space for 10 years with two five-year renewal options. It will provide the publicly traded National RV with much-needed cash and a way to pay off some of its debt, Chief Executive Brad Albrechtsen said in a statement. No one from National RV returned calls seeking comment. National RV has been steadily losing money for the past six years as it struggled with internal problems and a declining market for motor homes. Earlier this month, it reported a $7.1 million quarterly loss, as sales slipped 15 percent over the same time last year. Between 2001 and 2005, National RV has lost more than $68.5 million. Its share price is near historic lows. In August, longtime investor and board member Bob Lee resigned, saying he had lost confidence in the 42-year-old company's ability to survive. And in July, the company said it would have to rebuild 72 motor homes after discovering they had been manufactured with defective fiberglass panels. National RV has sued the panel makers, Stamford, Conn.-based Crane Co. and its subsidiary, Kemlite. As National RV suffered, however, Weekend Warrior has blossomed. Founded in 1988 by Mark Warmoth, the Perris-based firm has grown into a $275 million powerhouse known for pioneering the "toy hauler" segment of the industry. Popular in California and the southwestern U.S., toy haulers are trailers featuring living quarters in the front and a garage in back for off-road vehicles. Last month, the company, which has outgrown its headquarters, bought an 80,000-square-foot former military building on 17 acres in the Meridian business park, just south of Riverside and west of Interstate 215. Terms were not disclosed. The privately held manufacturer, which previously made only trailers, unveiled its first motorized RVs at a consumer show in Pomona last month. "We need room, baby," Gary Denton, vice president of sales and marketing for Weekend Warrior, said Wednesday. "We are in awe of our own growth." Denton said Warmoth believes it is a good time to invest in commercial real estate and could choose to build more factory space on the land in the future. Weekend Warrior already had close ties to its one-time competitor. In 2004, it bought National RV's travel-trailer line and still leases 80,000-square- feet of space in National RV's plant, Denton said. National RV only makes motor homes now. National RV's production there has slipped from about 60 units per week at one time to less than 40 in recent months, meaning the 600,000-square- foot complex is only running at about 35 percent of its capacity, Albrechtsen said last week. National RV Holdings also owns Country Coach Inc., a Junction City, Ore.-based luxury motor homes builder that has been doing well. Inland Southern California is home to nearly a dozen RV makers. National RV, with 1,000 employees, and Weekend Warrior, with 1,500, are two of the largest. RV company buys rivals' site

with all the talk on the board about people getting their sh*t stolen out of their hauler while in storage, I was wondering what the current owners of your storage yard do to deter thieves? don't they have to have insurance for that? even though they MAKE you sign a contract that says they are not responsible for theft (maybe because they are the thieves???) how much would you be willing to pay for a guaranteed no thefts, and if there was, the storage yard's insurance would cover it. think about it...video surv.......electric fences on after dark.. armed guards in a rhino or ranger to get around the perimeter.. what would you be willing to pay I have NO idea how you guys put up with it. you think the owners of the lots would get a clue.

1. costco, at least the one in Bakersfield, will NOT put tires on your vehicle if they are not the tires that specificaly came from the factory................for 2500hd's 245/75/16 :jester: 2. the green torsion keys, (from the 1500 series trucks and suvs) do allow a "little" bit better ride than the regular torsion bars on the 2500hd's, when cranked, but not by much. 3. with a "little" trimming, I was able to fit 315/70/17's on H2's on a stock suspension, with the torsion bars cranked all the way. 4. the bump stop on upper control arms on the 2500hd's compromise the stock suspension, with the torsion bars cranked, and extend the suspension, even on the smallest drop off's

he said he added a hi comp piston, port/polish jobs, and cams too. still, 65 hp with just bolt ons OUTSIDE of the motor is pretty good. Howz the suspension? that is one thing that drew me to the DS the suspension rocks.
-
yeah, anything but a VID CAM

it could be referring to the razorback hills. most of the hills meet in a razorback shape....very steep on both sides. it is wise not to jump off the top of a dune in dumont, unless you have scouted it out, and think you can land it.

anyone got one of these bikes? there is a guy over on glamis forum that claims a hp dynoed at 85 rwhp?? pretty effen impressive if true, then it is def a viable prospect for me in the future, as my DS, though fun, is growing a little long in the tooth, and bombardier, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brp, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Can-Am is not showin any interest in upgrading the DS in the near future
