  1. I am getting rid of a good, 2 door GE refidgerator/freezer. It is the one I use on my back patio. Nothing is wrong with it!!! I'm going to empty it out and scrub it down tomorrow, so if you want it, come get it. I will be out on base tomorrow for a class in the morning, but afternoon is good to go.
  2. Yeah that's what I'm gonna do, he still needs to install 2 other HID's on them. Just trying to get everything serviced and running good before the first trip out.
  3. One of my Rhino's is acting up, not idleing, hard to start. I took it out this morning to run some race fuel/unleaded through it, but it still is acting up. It's also backfiring pretty bad when I decelerate. I don't want to take it to a Yamaha dealer for service, so if anyone knows of a good shop that works on Rhino's, let me know.
  4. Casinos in Vegas have had this technology in place since pre 9/11. LPR was used to in the apprehension of a known terrorist at a casino right after 9/11. It's a great system if used correctly and with good intent.
  5. Right now, NV legislature is doing some good things in the CCW department. One of those is being able to reciprocate with other states. Right now, we do not honor any other states permits, but that is about to change. I hear that CA wants to jump on the wagon as being one of the states that we honor, well that could work in our favor. Right now, AZ and UT honor our permits and I can almost guarantee we will honor theirs. If CA wants this to be extended, then they will have to step up and honor ours. So the political battle begins.
  6. Maybe she will start doing some more videos for some side cash..I'd pay $5.00 for the DVD
  7. It is unfortunate that CA is so anti-gun and even more anti-CCW. CA does offer permits, however, you have to obtain one for the county you live in. The down side is that if you leave that county, you are SOL in the next county. Go to www.packing.org/state/ and click on California. But getting one takes an act of Devine intervention. I do not advocate illegally carrying a concealed weapon so here is what I do when I'm in California (which is where I'm at right now.) If you are unable to get a CCW, try these on for size, all are legal!!! Get yourself a good Pepper Spray (OC Spray) FOX Labs 5.3 in a 2oz container or my preference and what I carry daily is Mace brand Triple-Action Defense Spray http://www.pimall.com/nais/mace.html Personal Model. Get yourself a good folding knife. I carry a Spyderco Native III. I use it daily for alot of things, hell tonight I used it to get a splinter out of my nephew's hand. I never leave home without it!! Something that cannot be purchased but is invaluable is Situational Awareness!! Don't walk around all paranoid, but at least know what's going on around you. I don't mean to get on a soap box, it's just that I instruct this kind of stuff and just having some basic stuff with you will give you more of an edge than if you had nothing. Let's take your buddy and his situation. A crack head approched him from somewhere right? Say your buddy had some OC Spray and his SA was right on and he saw it coming. The spray from the cannister is about 8-12 feet which would drop the attacker and give your buddy time to just calmly walk away, because unless you have trained with this stuff for a very long time, you are going to drop to your knees with snot bubbles, tears and spit coming out of everywhere. Some may ask, what about stun guns? Well they are great, but the problem is, you have to get close enough to touch the person and that's just too close for me. On the upside though, and it's legal in CA, a TASER. It gives out 50,000 volts and it's not a pleasant feeling to have one touch you. The best thing, you can be up to 15 feet away from someone. They are available to the general public and are relativly inexpensive http://www.taser.com/products/consumers/Pages/TASERM18L.aspx So even if you cannot get a CCW in CA, all is not lost. And one more thing. If you decide to get and obtain a CCW, learn the laws pertaining to the use of deadly foce and what intermediate force options are. Good luck!!
  8. YFZ450 is my suggestion. You will never grow out of that thing...good luck
  9. Sorry to hear about your loss. My wife and I have decided to put down 2 of our dogs when we get back from vacation. They are 15 years old and have just taken a turn for the worse in the last few weeks. It will be hard to do, but it's harder to watch them suffer. Pets just become so much a part of a family's life! And to shed some light on why the dog went into the bathroom, well dogs, when they are dying will find a corner, dark area or somewhere where there are no people or other animals around and they will just lay down and pass away without anyone watching. It's their way of privacy in their last hours or minutes.

    On vacation in

Yesterday was a day at the beach! I don't know if I put this in perspective for you or not, but it's not just my family here on vacation. My SIL and her 5 kids, BIL his 3 kids, My wife and 3 kids...so with that said, my BIL took all the kids to get ice cream yesterday, leaving the SIL, MIL, wife and me alone...that was the most relaxing hour I've had in a long time. Okay, here are some pictures from the shore...my new telephoto lense really came in handy....enjoy A seal that was body surfing with the kids...I didn't like it so much seeing how it's a sharks favorite food A couple of dolphins that were also doing some surfing a little further out, still cool to see though And some of the USA's finest did some fly-bys for us, the USCG guys came by slower for the close up shot And my favorite...Look at the tail rotor and check out where the blades are whipping through the air And last but not least, the Bay Watch scene... Well that's it for now, headed to Sea World for the day...don't know if I will take any pics, but we'll see.

    On vacation in

Just got in from the fair and my dogs are killn' me! All in all it was a great day, no kids were lost, no fights with the kids or wife and the lines on the rides were not too bad. Today was kids day so admission was free and the wristbands for rides were $20.00..ride all U want until 8pm. The wife and I did some walking around after the kids left with my SIL and MIL. Bought some cool stuff, some Kettle Corn...Turkey Legs and Funnel Cakes. I think every "As seen on TV" product is there, but I still wanna see Billy Mays there doing his skit for Kaboom or Oxi Clean Headed back to the beach tomorrow morning, so the pictures will be forthcoming. If the weather is not permitting, we are going to head down to Sea World for the day.

    On vacation in

We started off yesterday on the beach near Newport Peir....Weather 73 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze.. Then we rented a boat for an hour and a half and took it out in the bay around Balboa and Ledu Island..that was a blast. And then towards the end of our trip around the harbor, we ran into these guys who were more than happy to strike a pose... No beach tomorrow, headed to the OC Fair. Should be a good day!
  14. We finally started our vacation at Newport Beach. 12 days of 75 degree weather and lots of fun. Here's one pic for all the DDR peeps....

  18. We partied at both houses and the desert. Our desert spot was The Gates of Hell. The best party houses were Gormon house parties and our truck club parties. Man to remember my truck club days, Banzai!
  19. Here's my story on how I met my wife. We both worked at the same place where she worked as a pit boss in the table games area and I was the director of gaming surveillance. Now, at the time, I was married and not at all happy! So we started talking on the phone and since it is basically the biggest tabu to get mixed up with ANY employee while you work in surveillance, I decided to just keep it on a friendship level. So about 6 months went by and we never met face to face, although I knew what she looked like, she had no idea what I looked like. We would chat online (AOL dial up early 90's). She kept asking me when she was going to find out who I was and I kept telling her that she would find out when she least expected it. So one night I was at work watching some gaming cheats on the casino floor when one of them made me and took off running. I took off after him and tackled him right in front of her. As I handcuffed the guy, I looked up at her and said, "I told you we would meet when you least expected it." Now the sparks begin to really fly. One night, we met at a park to "talk" and that's when the first kiss happened. That kiss was the nudge I needed to have in order to get out of my hell of a marriage I was in. So I went home that night and Darth Vader was waiting on me to ask the question, "where the hell have you been?" And my reply was, "I've been with the woman I really want to be with!" That went over like a turd in a punch bowl. She went crazy and chased me out of the house with a knife. So I kept running, right to my truck and to a hotel, where I stayed for about a week. She finally split from the house and I moved back in. I had the divorce papers drawn up and get this, my wife now signed the witness line on the papers. After that was over, we've been inceperable ever since. So that's the reader's digest version of how we met.
  20. Have fun Nick! I'm heading out for vacation to Newport Beach this Friday night through August 2. I am soooo ready for this vacation.

  22. Okay I'm going to chime in this one...and seeing as I only need a few more posts to become a dune pro, here goes: Differences between men and women. A.) Driving!! nough said about that B.) A man can walk into Costco, Sam's Club or Home Depot for one item and walk out with that ONE item. A woman will find a way to fill 2 shopping carts to the top and then some and then forget to get that ONE item. C.) A man can eat an ice cream cone or bannana in public without anyone staring at him. D.) Did I mention DRIVING! A woman's brain http://www.metacafe.com/watch/281658/womans_brain/ Okay, before my wife comes up behind me to read this and I'll end with that
  23. Thanks Kenny. I'll be calling you tomorrow mid morning sometime.
