  1. Hey me too! Actually we camp accross from the opening to comp closer to the last finger dune. We camp with some friends and family. My father-in-laws boss brings out the yellow blazer that always races in the sand drags. This year it should be even faster than this...
  2. How about a quad one now since you are getting so good at it?:rainbow1:
  3. Now that looks stoopid as hell. Can you imagine trying to drive that thing with those on it. I would have to go "Road Warrior" and take out all the a$$hats out there! :rainbow1:
  4. That is one nice looking trailer. Would work great if you only have quads or bikes, not so well if you have a sandcar though. Still that thing is sick! :rainbow1:
  5. Congrats on the new trailer! :rainbow1:
  6. No that would be a "Jeager Bomb" and we all like those.
  7. After watching the VREX dunig vid, I now know why the ruts were so deep that I hit on my quad. Holy sh*t!
  8. Hey Mark, it was good meeting you out there. I'm glad we could help out. I know it sucks buying something and finding the week spot the first day out. But get that beast fixed and bring it out so we can dune. Hopefully I will get my rail back out soon and we can go on a good ride. That Bronco that pulled you out was bad a$$! Wish I had taken a pic of that monster.
  9. Ok my observations... It was Rosemarie, Craig(9digit), Kris and myself for this outing. 1. Planning to leave town by 6:30 never works out was more like 8:00 leaving the last station on Blue Diamond. Damn last minute shopping! 2. Vince followed us out. I kept the speed a little more conservative this time! (Got better mileage too! Who woulda thunk it?) 3. Passing 3 rigs on the Tecopa road and then looking down and seeing the speedo needle pegged, oops! Did get a from the last truck as I passed. 4. Arriving at the dunes put a smile on our faces. Superbad made the drive seem like nothing. 5. No rangers to be seen as far as I could tell. 6. Unloaded and found out Vince's rail decided to not want the oil filler cap anymore. I will post a pic later, but hey MacGuyver'd it with some old elec tape and a bandaid. Seemed to work for the whole day. 7. Rode some hard rides (Not quite Paully Paul style but close enough) 8. Sand was still a little wet beneath and made for some interesting manuvering where the buggies had left some soft and deep ruts. I almost thought I was going over the bars once when they almost stopped me in my tracks. 9. Met up with Superdave and his son Chris. Good times. Too bad he couldn't get his 700 started to go on the last ride with us. 10. Note to self (Don't wear amber goggles on a sunset ride) good thing I was leading cuz I had to run without goggles due to the fact I couldn't see through them for sh*t. 11. Packing up sucked as usual. Would have loved to stay for another day, but had to get home. 12. Supertroopers entertained us all the home. Good times. Can't wait to get out there again.
  10. Yeah we watched you do that. I was like holy sh*t! The quad went tumbling and right before we started to head over to see if you were ok you were already up shakin it off. Hope the quad didn't get hurt too bad. By the way, I was the lifted white F250 parked just to the NW of you. If you ever see a DDR sticker on something, stop and introduce yourself. :wedgie:
  11. They are not sticklers on the flag color, just that you have one.
  12. Hey, thanks for the update. You know it did have a lil leak the week before. The pic was taken right before New Years weekend. It will be clean the next time you see it. It that ok with you?
  13. Haha yeah when you're fat like me, you need that extra 2-3 hp to keep up!
  14. PM's sent to you two. Just get me the info and I will let you know.
  15. Fine Gerald! We will prob be around A6 or A7. Look for my BDT... Will also have a 20' flat bed with 4 or 5 quads on it.
  16. preach on brotha Pete! I know I had said this before. When we were out for Thanksgiving and I was buying my pass, some people had the same exact question. I being the open mouthed jackass I am decided to school them in why we pay so much. I pretty much said what Pete said above to them. The BLM lady taking the money said, "Wow, can you stay here and tell everyone that!" I was like no, but I want you to know we appreciate you guys being out here, especially if me or anyone else I know ever got hurt. She said thanks and I went on my way. I guess a lot of people are still miss-informed that they lost their gov't funding and we as a recreational community need to pick up the slack to enjoy our favorite riding spot. If you can't afford the small price to pay, then don't come out. Whats a $100 or so spread out over a few months gonna hurt?
  17. Haha I did too on my 98 I just sold, along with a cool head w/ 19cc domes, Vforce2 reeds, 13tooth front sproket, Toomey T-5s, Pro Design Intake w/ K&N and a couple other misc, bolt ons. Fast as hell when it was fresh!
  18. If I am out there, then yes. I might have to stay in town now to help a friend put a new upgraded turbo on his powerstroke. If we get done on Sat, I may try and day trip it out on Sun. Did you mean bring the LTR to the race or my other banshee? If I had to choose what to hill shoot with, it would be the banshee, but if you want to run through the dunes, hands down its the LTR.
  19. A handful of us are going out for the day on Sat. Probably be in my F250. It is white and has a DDR and Got Sand Sticker on the back window, oh yeah and a big lift. Wont be too hard to spot the BDT (Big Dumb Truck)
  20. Fine with me close it already.
  21. Hate to say it, but a fresh stock banshee with bolt ons; pipes, reeds, k&n and jetted will whoop up on any other just bolt on quad. I have owned them and they are fast, just outdated suspension, but still fast as hell! I still have one that I might bring over for this "bolt on" race.
  22. Effin Cole! Forget to take the sane pills again? LOL
  23. I know how to wire them, I just wanted to know if I need to run 4 to have the capacity to run the heat all night and the fridge, lights and whatever else. Or are two 12v blue tops the way to go?
  24. Sikkbanshee - We haven't seen Dave the DDR BBQ'r on here for a long time either.
  25. I need batteries too. If I switch to 6v do I need 4 or are 2 still ok? If I need 4 would I just be better off getting the 2 12v blue top optimas?
