  1. I have a condo in Duck creek Village off of Boulder Highway and Russell Rd. I am looking for a month to month renter as the property is in short sale but hasn't even had a looker in 2 months.I don't think it's going to change hands for awhile. I am looking for someone to care for and keep clean and am offering it at $500.00 per month which is $150.00 below going rates. i am asking a deposit of $500.00 but can be somewhat flexible. Just had place proffessionally cleaned and other than a couple of paint touch ups is in move in condition. Here is Craigslist ad; Clean nice 1 bedroom 1 bath with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, washer, dryer. I will rent for $500.00 on a month to month basis. The property is up for short sale so it needs to be kept clean. There will be a $500.00 security deposit with $125.00 non refundable for cleaning deposit. Looking for someone to care and keep the place clean that is why the rent is $150.00 below market. I will give 60 days notice should the place sell but there have not been any lookers so I don't for see anything happening on it for awhile. Area is secure, quiet and close to the 515 freeway. Medallion Dr.. at Boulder Highway (google map) (yahoo map) Call or e mail me if interested. terry at 596-8234 or PM me . Thanks for looking this place is perfect for a couple or senior and has great neighbors who look out for their neighbors. Terry
  2. Can't make this weekend but will be arriving on Thanksgiving morning about 11ish. Staying through Sunday so any one wanting to come by for a visit or go for a ride you know where I camp and your more than welcome for either.
  3. Happy Birthday Young lady!! Hope you have a great birthday and don't hurt to bad tomorrow:)
  4. A buddy of mine works at the bike shop on Pecos. His name is Bill Johnson, tell him you know me and he will take care of you.A good guy to! Terry Allen
  5. what is it and how much? There are no Sunoco dealers in LV so you have to pay what the truck wants when it's here. The only race fuel available here is FNL @ $8.00 per gallon per 55 drum. or Rocket fuel which I haven't had much luck with.
  6. Could have been pete but it seemed as soon as I replaced one fuel line the next one would go so it made it look like the fuel was corriosive. In talking to the Sunoco guys they told me that they had heard of other cases that similar things had happened. I'm just not willing to take a chance on it. I figure the car likes Sunoco and in the scheme of things it's better to be safe than sorry. I knew race fuel was expensive compared to regular gas when I bought the car. It's the price to play I guess.
  7. I got a free coupon for a day rental for a 2012 new harley. Was thinking about the 19th (SAT.) but can be very flexible but the 19th is looking like the warmest day for awhile. Don't care where we go but been awhile since I have been on a bike and was thinking it wuld be fun to have some company. Anybody interested in that date or another? Terry
  8. Cool, it's definetly looking good. I like the plastic, wrap or paint?
  9. Make sure you check out my doors from UTV Inc vs. Pro Armor. I think they are a better latching system and the door removes at a 90 degree angle to access the interior for repairs etc. They mounted up pretty easily. Steve you may want to grind off the headache makers/head splitters where the old belts were located. grinder and a little matching paint and you never know that they were there. I will send some pics.
  10. looks good Steve can't wait to go on a run with you!
  11. I could see fuel leaking out of the braided line. even covered the braided line with clear plastic and could see fuel gathering in different locations. I don't think it actually broke the rubber lines into pieces it just ate it enough that the fuel was leaking through. I am far from rich but it was the fuel line issue that turned me off of the rocket fuel. Luckily my buddy hooked me up with teflon lined braided hoses for free and I came out of it ok but without him I would have had a bunch of headaches. I know times are tough, I don't get a paycheck anymore so i am feeling it but I also know my car and the Sunoco just makes it crisper and actually the car runs a little cooler and I don't worry about fuel lines leaking. I hope everybody does not have any problems with rocket but I am unwilling to take the chance i am sure you understand that.
  12. Because i used Rocket fuel in my car 2 years ago and it ate all the rubber hose inside my braided lines. That was about $700.00 in new braided fuel lines so I will pay the $8.25 for Sunoco 110 and my car runs better on Sunoco than any other fuel including VP, Rocket, FNL. It's worth it for me. There are only 2 companies that actually produce race fuel and then there are the companies that "mix" it. Sunoco produces and mixes their own and it works better for me. Also the small business guy who comes to town to support racers get's my business over the large corp these days from me.
  13. David you can probably hook up with them before they leave if you want their numbe rit's 619 247-1798 or 1797 Bill or Terry
  14. Jealously is such an evil thing Pat! You should learn to control yourself at your age.
  15. I have the contact numbers for the Sunoco fuel Truck at the speedway. They are there till noon tomorrow. I drove out there today and the 110 is $8.25 per gallon and the 112 is $8.60 plus a $25.00 barrel core charge unless you bring a barrel with you. They will be back in Henderson in December and will be contacting me when they are here if anyone is interested. If you want fuel this weekend send me a PM and I will give you their number to hook up with them. Terry
  16. I got BFG's for 10.00 per tire more and they were in stock instead of waiting for shipment. I have always had great luck with BFG so the $40.00 was well worth it to me.
  17. Might be worth a trip to a couple carpet companies for rements. They can be picked up pretty cheap and they will sew the edges for next to nothing.
  18. Gorgeous car and not that i am a mechanic by any means but in this day of EFI why did he choose to stay with a carburator on that beast? But is an eye candy car and hope you have great luck with the sale.
  19. Was a good weekend. My car started acting up Saturday afternoon and wouldn't come back down to idle speed. I got back to camp tried to do some adjusting and also found that my electrial(alternator) light wasn't coming on whrn I hit the switch and waited for fuel pumps to come up to pressure so I have to look into that also. Finally decided to put it in the trailer and the belt(s) were screeching so i tightened down the alterator bracket this moring but It didn't help. So I chilled out and have some work to do. A) find out and fix car issues as described,B) repace water pump in grandson's yfz,C) find a electrial short on the RZR's lighting system. Good side was they all went into the trailer on their own power and it was a nice weekend but I am with Pete and want the off weekends. Just to many people this weekend so it was more of a social thing for me but did get in a couple of good runs with Bert on thursday and Friday afternoon with Pete and the boys from Sc. Cal. Terry
  20. I would agree with the Capt. on this one but I found this on Google; Gasoline leaked from a container in the back seat of my SUV the other day while I was driving home from a gas station. The odour was horrendous by the time I got home as it had soaked a two foot square section of the carpet. I purchased some Prosolve Carpet Cleaner and sprayed it on yesterday morning and it worked wonders. Today there was only a minor smell and I sprayed it again. It is drying now, but I suspect the smell will be entirely gone by tomorrow. I sprayed the section of the carpet liberally with Prosolve and rubbed it around. I then let it sit 15 minutes. I then used toweling paper (2 rolls) to blot it up until the area was dry. I left the car doors and windows open for a few hours to let the air at it and then closed them overnight. As I said, when I opened the car this morning, the smell was almost completely gone. And there was no discolouration of the grey carpet at all. I went through the process today, but did not need to use as much Prosolve. I was amazed at how simple this process was. Having read earlier posts I was concerned I might not ever get rid of the smell. Fingers crossed.
  21. Works for me Mike. I really don't think this is going to be an issue. It's just to make sure that people who try to cheat the system can be detected. In all the time I have been through the gate they have NEVER looked nor asked to look at the back of the pass. Why don't you just put both last names on it and that should eliminate any problems.
  22. Aren't you married? if so put your married name on it and don't worry about it. I doubt that this is going to be a big enforcement deal. Unless there is another reason for them to be talking to you I doubt it will even come up.
  23. In talking to Larry today @ BLM he told me the passes are sold to the PERSON not the vehicle. Therefore if you have your name on the back and a License plate on the back but you choose to put it in your other vehicle it will still be ok. As long as the vehicle is registered to you or your in the vehicle displaying the pass there will be no issues. having the reciept (Kept seperate) will help if the pass is stolen, they will be able to trace the time and place of purchase should they catch someone using your pass so you can get it back. Wiping the name off and plate # with brake cleaner etc. shows up as the plastic covering is designed to show that a chemical has been used. It is a way to make sure there is no counterfeiting(a problem in the past) and that the passes you have and are using are yours. It is not a big deal unless you use the pass or obtained the pass illegally. Hope that clears that issue up! BTW the BLM is smoothing out the road as we speak and is waiting for water to come down the river in order to lay another top coat on the road. Be safe and have a great opening weekend!
